  • 03:56 Caleb: You got a point.
  • 03:57 Well, the last days are the days leading up to the end of this
  • 04:00 age, the church age that we are living in now.
  • 04:03 And when the church age ends, that's when the tribulation will
  • 04:07 begin; and that's the time of judgment, of God's wrath being
  • 04:09 poured out on the world and on the wicked, which I believe
  • 04:12 we're going to be spared from when we go to the Rapture, and

  • 05:10 Joshua: We know the Bible says the signs and wonders exist to

  • 05:13 Like, the point of signs and wonders is for the people to see
  • 05:15 and believe, and we live in a time period where people crave
  • 05:18 the supernatural.
  • 05:19 All of our television shows, our movies, all the series, anything
  • 05:21 from mutants to magic to all of this, you know, hybridization of

  • 05:28 So we're in a time period where people want to see that, but the

  • 05:41 Israel: Guys, you know the important part--you know, it's

  • 06:05 And my prayer is that our listeners will be a big part of

  • 06:08 Ryan: So, like, I think another question that should be asked,
  • 06:11 let's say Jesus comes back next week or next month or we know
  • 06:14 when he's coming back.
  • 06:16 Between now and then, what do we need to change about ourselves?
  • 06:19 Caleb: True.
  • 06:20 If we knew that Yeshua, Jesus, was coming back soon, are we
  • 06:24 going to live in complacency or are we going to live hardcore
  • 06:27 for him?
  • 06:28 And Paul tells us exactly what happens if we do choose to live
  • 06:31 hardcore for him.
  • 06:33 He finishes to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:12-13.
  • 06:36 He said, "In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in
  • 06:38 Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
  • 06:40 Evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and

  • 06:58 and be persecuted or are we going to instead kind of submit
  • 07:03 to the world, live like the world just to have a little bit
  • 07:06 easier time?
  • 07:07 Caleb: Yeah.
  • 07:09 Joshua: Oh, look, a house of light.

  • 07:13 What is your problem?
  • 07:14 Ryan: Dude, the lighthouse, bro.
  • 07:15 Joshua: You love them so much. Ryan: So much.
  • 07:22 Joshua: 1 Corinthians 2:1 and 4-5, "And I, brethren, when I
  • 07:25 came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of
  • 07:28 wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
  • 07:31 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words
  • 07:34 of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and
  • 07:37 of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but
  • 07:42 in the power of God."
  • 07:44 Joshua: I don't see it. Where's it at?
  • 07:46 Israel: Josh, Josh, it's over that way.
  • 07:47 Mike: It's that.
  • 07:49 Joshua: Oh, that's beautiful. Yeah, I dig that.
  • 07:51 So that makes sense why people come here.
  • 07:53 Israel: Sometimes we actually miss the light, don't we?
  • 07:55 Mike: It's true.
  • 07:57 I mean, people miss a lot of things, right?
  • 07:58 I mean, I passed through a church for 14 years.
  • 08:01 And I know that the church, especially here in America, is
  • 08:05 missing the light on the Holy Spirit.
  • 08:07 You know, the--it's the--it is unfortunate.
  • 08:10 It's the topic that most churches don't even talk about.
  • 08:13 Israel: Right. It's true.
  • 08:16 Mike: It is scary.
  • 08:17 That's why--they have this fear, right?
  • 08:19 But the Bible teaches us, right, in 2 Timothy 1:7 that he didn't
  • 08:22 give us a spirit of fear but a spirit of power, love, and a
  • 08:26 sound mind.
  • 08:27 The church today by ignoring the role of the Holy Spirit is
  • 08:30 basically, like, you know, how EV cars are the rage.
  • 08:34 Well, what happens if you don't plug them in?
  • 08:37 Joshua: Ooh, ooh, they're just giant paperweights.
  • 08:39 Mike: Exactly.
  • 08:41 And the church is kind of this giant paperweight because it's
  • 08:43 trying to do the work that God has called them to do without
  • 08:47 being powered up.
  • 08:49 So few people actually study or learn the role of the
  • 08:53 Holy Spirit in our life.
  • 08:54 We'll talk about God the Father, we'll talk about Jesus the Son,
  • 08:58 but what about that third part of the Trinity?
  • 09:00 The Holy Spirit, what is his role in our life?
  • 09:03 Caleb: It's terrifying for most people because it's surrendering
  • 09:07 the level of control in your life that you don't want to give
  • 09:10 up 'cause you don't know what that Holy Spirit will do.
  • 09:14 Mike: But isn't it the job of the church to teach people what
  • 09:18 the role of the Holy Spirit is, right?
  • 09:20 He tells us in John 14:26, right, that the Father is going
  • 09:24 to send the helper, the Holy Spirit, whose job it is to,
  • 09:28 what, teach us all things, remind us of the things that
  • 09:31 Jesus taught us?
  • 09:33 Joshua: But the controversy is if we rely on the Holy Spirit to
  • 09:36 teach us what to do, then the church doesn't have control over
  • 09:39 what's being preached because the Holy Spirit might move and
  • 09:41 might say, "Hey, we just--we should stay longer than the
  • 09:43 Super Bowl.
  • 09:45 Hey, we should come here and do this.
  • 09:46 Hey, you shouldn't be doing this anymore."
  • 09:47 And if that happens in that moment, then all of a sudden the
  • 09:49 best laid plaids--plans of man fall apart, and that's what's
  • 09:52 prevented them for so many years from not only just fully
  • 09:56 preaching the understanding of it but from walking in it.
  • 10:00 Mike: Yeah.
  • 10:01 And I think there's also that fear of the Holy Spirit and
  • 10:05 seeing people use it the wrong way.
  • 10:07 You know, I've said for--
  • 10:09 Caleb: It's been abused in the past.
  • 10:10 Mike: Exactly. And I've said it for years.
  • 10:11 It's just because something has been done wrong doesn't mean
  • 10:13 it's wrong.
  • 10:15 So hiding from the Holy Spirit or not teaching the
  • 10:17 Holy Spirit, we're being derelict in our duty as men of
  • 10:24 faith teaching about Christ, teaching about the Holy Spirit,
  • 10:27 teaching about the Father.
  • 10:28 Israel: It's actually the power of the Holy Spirit that gives us
  • 10:31 the strength to overcome evil, and we all need to do that.
  • 10:35 I know I do, and I can't do it on my own.
  • 10:38 I need the Holy Spirit to help me because he is my strength and
  • 10:42 he is my power.
  • 10:44 Joshua: I equate it a lot to going to the gym.
  • 10:45 I can go to the gym and I can be really tired because I don't
  • 10:47 have proper nutrition.
  • 10:50 Sometimes I'll take a pre-workout supplement, right,
  • 10:51 and it's a supplement that's full of these vitamins and
  • 10:53 minerals that help give me the opportunity to be at my prime
  • 10:57 when I'm in the gym lifting.
  • 10:59 As opposed to going without the Holy Spirit, it's all

  • 11:06 without the Holy Spirit to supercharge me, to give me that
