- 09:27 Mike: Well, I had a couple extra minutes, you know, from the
- 09:29 walk up.
- 09:30 Israel: That's amazing Mike.
- 09:32 Mike: Part of my ministry in Integral Men is to help men
- 09:36 teach men to be prepared and to be part of their families like
- 09:41 God has called them to be, to be part of their churches, to be
- 09:43 part of their work environment, to be part of their friends, to
- 09:46 be part of their community, to be believers that go into all of

- 09:56 building a shelter, building a fire, because these are things
- 09:59 that are lost.
- 10:00 And there are things that are lost when we're lost.
- 10:03 God called the church to be a shelter, not a bomb shelter that
- 10:08 we just sit in and wait and ride out life.
- 10:11 Joshua C.: Every Sunday morning.
- 10:12 Mike: Exactly, every Sunday morning.
- 10:14 But a shelter where people can come in from the storm.
- 10:16 They can have shelter, they can have fire, they can have food,
- 10:20 they can be fed so that they can then go back out and to bring
- 10:26 this into the whole world.
- 10:28 Joshua C.: So, you're saying the box is just for temporary.
- 10:30 Mike: Yes, it is just a temporary means.
- 10:33 Joshua C.: To restore, fill back up, and go back out.
- 10:36 Mike: Exactly.
- 10:37 And one of the things you'll notice about this shelter is it
- 10:39 is very temporary.
- 10:41 This is not something we're gonna live in forever.
- 10:44 This is to get us out of the storm.
- 10:46 And what I use to build this is the things that are around me.
- 10:51 This was all from stuff I found 500 feet walking along
- 10:57 the beach.
- 10:58 In 20 minutes, I found all of this stuff.
- 11:01 Caleb: That's the fastest 20 minutes I've ever seen.
- 11:03 Mike: It is pretty amazing.
- 11:05 This is the outdoor equivalent of it, but spiritually it's the
- 11:08 same thing, "Lord, what do you have for me today?
- 11:13 Bring people in front of me that need to hear it.
- 11:17 Give me the words to speak to reach that person."
- 11:21 And that's really what Integral Men is about, is equipping men
- 11:25 to take over that role that God had called him to be part of.
- 11:29 Joshua A.: Yeah, I grew up camping a lot.
- 11:31 I never learned properly.
- 11:32 My family never went on camping trips, but my--one of my best
- 11:36 friends in high school's dad was really big into it, so
- 11:38 I learned.
- 11:40 And then I just would go all the time like from 16 years old, I'd
- 11:42 go for like four days in the woods by myself.
- 11:44 I had no idea what I was doing.
- 11:45 This isn't me bragging.
- 11:47 I just love the woods so much, but just the adventure.
- 11:50 I'm so glad you guys invited me in this adventure, first of all,
- 11:54 it's been an adventure for me leading my family, my wife, and
- 11:57 my five kids back to our homeland, Israel.
- 12:01 You know, we were scattered for 2,000 years, and we were
- 12:04 back again.
- 12:05 The Bible says he who scatters Israel will gather Israel again.
- 12:09 So, I just--I answered the call and went back and we talked
- 12:13 about this like hearing God's voice and that still small voice
- 12:18 and then even not knowing the whole time until you get there
- 12:20 and then your kids are in the army like, "Did I actually hear
- 12:22 your voice?
- 12:23 Because I would rather them not be in the Israeli army right
- 12:25 now," you know?
- 12:26 Israel: Worst time ever in history to be in the
- 12:28 Israeli army.
- 12:29 Joshua A.: Yes, yes, but for my kids, my oldest two that are in
- 12:31 the IDF, they're like it's such an honor for them.
- 12:32 But you look at--you think about the history of our people like
- 12:35 in the mornings, I don't do it every day, but we wrap what we
- 12:39 call Tephilim, you know.
- 12:40 The Bible talks about Deuteronomy 6, you know, "You
- 12:42 shall bind it on your arm and on your frontlets, on
- 12:44 the doorpost of your home.
- 12:46 You should teach your children as they're going in, going out,
- 12:48 so that when you go into the Promised Land, you won't be
- 12:51 caught up with the other gods."
- 12:53 And it was this preparation that God had taught us and to this
- 12:56 day, I mean, we still only have Jewish people identifiably
- 13:00 because we kept some of those traditions.
- 13:03 Otherwise, it would have just been just like all the other
- 13:05 people that lived in the land of Canaan, the Amalekites, the
- 13:08 Hittites, the Hivites, the Kushites, the Amorites, the
- 13:10 mosquito bites, you know, the Jebusites.
- 13:13 Yeah, there you go.
- 13:15 But Israelites, we kept some semblance of what God had
- 13:17 given us.
- 13:19 We didn't keep it all.
- 13:20 And the book is really honest, you and I are talking about at
- 13:22 breakfast, you know, we were--how does it go?
- 13:25 Caleb: Well, they tried to kill us, we won, let's eat.
- 13:28 Joshua A.: That's all of our feasts.
- 13:30 Caleb: That's that's all our feasts.
- 13:31 That's our whole history right there in a nutshell.
- 13:34 Joshua A.: So, you know, but the--along that journey is we
- 13:37 forgot about God.
- 13:38 That's why God let them kill us and scatter us.
- 13:40 And the Bible's pretty honest about that.
- 13:43 So, following God's principles and following God's book that
- 13:46 prepares us for the things that are gonna come is so imperative
- 13:50 and being ready like Pastor Mike, being ready, when the
- 13:53 storms come.
- 13:55 And also remembering that they're just storms, and not
- 13:58 giving up your call, giving up your life to get through the
- 14:01 storm when it's only a storm, but following God to the end.
- 14:04 "He who endures to the end will be saved."
- 14:07 Caleb: I think it's time, Mike, that we learn how to build
- 14:11 a shelter.
- 14:13 I mean, you have this awesome one, but that's only like a
- 14:15 shelter for one.
- 14:17 We each need our own shelter.
- 14:18 How about we go out and try to build our own?
- 14:20 Mike: I like it.
- 14:21 Caleb: I'm excited about this.
- 14:23 Mike: So, go find what you can find around and let's have you
- 14:27 build some shelter.
- 14:29 Israel: Wait Mike, that sounds like a lot of work.
- 14:30 Mike: Well, you know, might as well work while you still can.
- 14:34 Caleb: Galatians 5:16 through 18, "I say then: Walk in the
- 14:38 spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
- 14:41 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against
- 14:45 the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that
- 14:49 you do not do the things that you wish.
- 14:51 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under
- 14:54 the law.
- 14:57 Joshua C.: All right guys, y'all get everything built for the
- 15:00 shelter yet?
- 15:02 Caleb: Josh, we're all supposed to build our own shelters.
- 15:05 Joshua C.: Well, I can't build a shelter if my
- 15:07 blood sugar gets too low, so I just figured y'all do it
- 15:08 while I eat the fluffer nutter.
- 15:09 Joshua A.: You eat and I'll build a bigger one for the two
- 15:11 Joshua.
- 15:13 Caleb: You know he's being facetious.
- 15:15 Joshua C.: Oh man.
- 15:16 Caleb: He's building a single shelter.
- 15:18 Joshua C.: I think one of the problems we face today, even if
- 15:21 we have men equipped to be able to build these physical shelters
- 15:24 and protect us in physical storms is that we haven't always
- 15:29 prepared ourselves spiritually to weather physical and
- 15:33 spiritual storms that come against us in our life and we
- 15:36 get saved.
- 15:37 The day of salvation is probably like the highest of high for
- 15:40 some people when it comes to their spiritual strength.
- 15:43 They have this immediate transition from darkness into
- 15:46 light where God himself is now embodying them, right,
- 15:50 and comes into them.
- 15:52 For the first time in their lives, they're seen through the
- 15:54 eyes of holiness, they're seen through the eyes of their
- 15:57 Father, they're literally feeling his embrace.
- 16:00 And of course, in that moment, everything feels great until
- 16:03 they go out into the wilderness spiritually of the world and all
- 16:06 of a sudden what they have inside of them is good, but they
- 16:11 haven't prepared anything else in their life to face the
- 16:15 different types of storms that are coming.
- 16:17 And it's not to say that God isn't enough.
- 16:19 He is enough, but you are in a world with an enemy who comes to
- 16:23 steal, kill, and destroy from you.
- 16:26 We have this problem as believers I think because we
- 16:30 know the truth and we know what's right and we know
- 16:32 what's wrong.
- 16:33 We feel like we can dabble just enough, we feel like we can joke
- 16:36 just enough in the things that aren't holy, aren't righteous,
- 16:40 don't build us up, don't protect us, aren't a shelter around our
- 16:43 spirit man.
- 16:44 And before we know it, the slippery slope has creeped that
- 16:48 back door open, right?
- 16:49 Put a little stop in that back door.
- 16:50 Now if you live in the South in any period of time, you know, in
- 16:53 Texas, it gets really hot in the summer.
- 16:54 It's 110 degrees sometimes, so we had--we spent a lot of money
- 16:58 on air conditioning to cool that home, right?
- 17:01 And our homes are sealed with different kinds of material to
- 17:04 hold in the temperature we want and to keep the rest out, right?
- 17:08 So, if my back door is propped open and I've got my AC running
- 17:11 pumping, trying to get it down to, you know, 65 degrees where I
- 17:14 keep it in my house, it's gonna start filling up with all that
- 17:17 warm air because I left it cracked open.
- 17:19 Well, same thing adversely, if I leave my back door open and I
- 17:21 live in a high crime area, I'm basically saying to anybody, "If
- 17:25 you want to come in and take from me, just go to the back
- 17:27 door right there."
- 17:28 Spiritually, we leave the back door of our hearts and our
- 17:31 spirits open because we never take the time to purge ourselves
- 17:35 of all of those things of darkness.
- 17:36 We don't disciple it out of us.
- 17:39 One of those things God gave us is fellowship with other
- 17:41 believers, but also when he says, "Don't forsake the
- 17:43 fellowship together of believers," he's saying, "Don't
- 17:46 let go of the fact that Caleb and Joshua were supposed to be
- 17:49 there to hold you up when you're getting weak, to call you out on
- 17:52 the carpet when you're doing wrong, to cheer you on in
- 17:55 moments where you need to join together because two are better
- 17:58 than one."
- 17:59 The Bible continuously says the enemy wins when he isolates us,
- 18:02 when he hunts us down like a predator in the woods, and we
- 18:04 find ourselves out here with a few twigs, no man card, and half
- 18:08 a fluffer nutter sandwich, which, you know, led them
- 18:10 to that.
- 18:11 And we still have the back door propped open and we can't
- 18:13 stay safe.
- 18:15 It is imperative today that we clean the sin out of our lives.
- 18:20 Caleb: I have a good idea, guys.
- 18:21 I say we should all join together and build a massive
- 18:24 shelter for the three of us and really show those Gentiles
- 18:27 who's boss.
- 18:28 Joshua C.: Don't know if that applies to what I just said.
- 18:31 Caleb: Yes, let's do it.
- 18:33 Let's build an awesome shelter.
- 18:34 Joshua C.: I kept waiting for you to pull out your giant
- 18:36 Torah, you know, when he pulled out his Bible, you know, like,
- 18:37 pow.
- 18:39 Caleb: Galatians 6:15, "Brethren, if a man is overtaken
- 18:43 in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in
- 18:47 a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you
- 18:50 also be tempted.
- 18:52 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
- 18:55 For if any one thinks himself to be something, when he is
- 18:58 nothing, he deceives himself.

- 19:27 Mike: Israel, I think you've seen--you probably had your fair
- 19:30 share of this, right?
- 19:31 Israel: We couldn't leave home without it in the army.
- 19:32 Mike: Shovel, you're gonna take it, you'll tighten it up, and
- 19:38 then you can just dig right out of here, right?
- 19:40 Dig yourself a nice little spot if you have a tarp or even
- 19:44 something, right, you can put it over you, but yeah, it's using
- 19:47 what you have around you, being aware of the environment that
- 19:49 you're in.

- 20:36 We just hit the lap pool in ours, you know, to get a
- 20:38 little workout.

- 20:41 I remember Ephesians 6:10 through 12, "Be strong in the
- 20:44 Lord, and in the power of his might, put on the full armor of
- 20:47 God that you can stand against the wiles of the enemy because
- 20:49 we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against
- 20:52 principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness
- 20:54 of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in
- 20:57 high places."
- 20:58 You gotta come prepared, and I came prepared, Josh and Josh to
- 21:03 build this awesome thing.
- 21:04 You know, I think that's the pinnacle of being prepared.
- 21:08 The final moment of discipleship is learning to put on the full
- 21:12 armor of God because without it, you're gonna be hit by the
- 21:16 enemy's arrows and everything that comes your way.
- 21:18 And so, what are those tools that we need to put on every
- 21:21 day, guys?
- 21:22 We need to put on the belt of truth.
- 21:24 That belt of truth means you're not walking in deception and
- 21:26 you're not lying.
- 21:28 And see upon your feet you have a preparation of gospel
- 21:30 of peace.
- 21:31 You gotta walk in peace, not in dissension, not in condemnation,
- 21:35 not being judgmental to everyone, but walking in love.
- 21:38 Israel: In the army that's your combat boots.
- 21:40 Caleb: Helmet of salvation, guys, that's a given.
- 21:42 You can't even start off your Christian walk unless you have
- 21:45 received the salvation that Yeshua bought and paid for.
- 21:49 Also that's renewing your mind with Salvation, with his Word,
- 21:53 always putting on the mind of Christ, always thinking his way.
- 21:56 So, when the devil's lying to you, he's throwing out this
- 21:59 deception, you're not being moved by his lies, by his
- 22:01 trickery when he whispers those into your ears.
- 22:04 The breastplate of righteousness, you know, that
- 22:06 protects your heart when you're walking in purity and holiness,
- 22:10 and we can't earn that righteousness, not by works.
- 22:12 There's nothing we can do to earn that.
- 22:14 It says he clothes us with his robes of righteousness because
- 22:17 it's by his blood that we are set free.
- 22:20 The shield of faith, you gotta have that to quench the fiery
- 22:22 darts of the wicked one.
- 22:24 You gotta bounce off those bullets that come at you from
- 22:26 the enemy.
- 22:27 But there's only one--
- 22:28 Israel: The shield of faith is your flak jacket that you
- 22:32 actually have to put on.
- 22:33 The army uses these very symbols to dress themselves.
- 22:36 Now, what's the sword of the spirit?
- 22:39 Caleb: The sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon
- 22:41 that we have against the enemy.
- 22:43 Hand me my sword.
- 22:45 There we go. Look at this.
- 22:46 Joshua C.: I don't have one of those.
- 22:48 Caleb: This is the living Word of God.
- 22:50 Says when Yeshua speaks, the sword comes out of his mouth and
- 22:53 cuts down the enemy.
- 22:54 This divides asunder of the joints and the morrow.
- 22:56 It reveals the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- 22:59 That's the Word of God.
- 23:00 He is the Word.
- 23:02 John says the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and he
- 23:05 walked with that word, and he learned his words.
- 23:07 We gotta walk in the Word, we gotta read it every day.
- 23:10 This is our food.
- 23:11 This is our very sustenance.
- 23:13 If we don't read the Word, then we're starving.
- 23:16 We're just like little skeletal frames out there like Holocaust
- 23:18 survivors trying to fight the enemy.
- 23:20 I don't want to be like that.
- 23:21 I wanna be one of the strong muscular Jews holding the sword
- 23:24 of the Spirit and doing God's Word.
- 23:26 And at that, my brethren, is what I call discipleship.
- 23:30 We have been equipped, we have our shelter, we can ride out
- 23:33 the storm.
- 23:35 And then tonight, I think we should celebrate.
- 23:37 Caleb: 2 Peter 2:19 through 22, "For people are slaves to
- 23:41 whatever has mastered them.
- 23:43 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by
- 23:45 knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again
- 23:48 entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at
- 23:52 the end than they were at the beginning.
- 23:55 It would have been better for them not to have known the way
- 23:58 of righteousness than to have known it, and then to turn their
- 24:01 backs on this sacred command that was passed on to them.
- 24:05 Of them the proverbs are true."
- 24:07 Caleb: Even as a dog returns to his own vomit.
- 24:11 Man, Yeshua said it best when he told the story, if you cast an
- 24:15 unclean spirit, this evil spirit out of a man, and you don't
- 24:18 clean house and fill that house, your spirit man, your body with
- 24:22 something good, with the Word of God, with his Holy Spirit, then
- 24:25 evil spirits will return with seven more of their filthy
- 24:28 friends, and the latter stage of your life is going to be worse.
- 24:31 You're going to be caught up in some gnarly things that you
- 24:33 never thought was possible before you were even a believer.
- 24:36 So, it's discipleship is key, guys, whether it's Yeshua
- 24:40 himself through the Holy Spirit discipling you as you grow, or
- 24:44 if you just can't figure out the Bible yourself, you need someone
- 24:46 to hold your hand and you get someone to mentor you and to
- 24:49 really disciple, it's very important.
- 24:51 Israel: You know, Mike, actually that's how I got saved
- 24:53 pretty much.
- 24:54 A lady that led me to the Lord gave me her own personal Bible
- 24:58 44 years ago and said, "Take this book and read it."
- 25:02 I picked up that next morning, the Bible, and read the Sermon
- 25:05 on the Mount, Matthew 5, 6, and 7, and it changed my life.
- 25:10 I have not set that Bible down since then and it has changed my
- 25:14 life in the sense that the Holy Spirit revealed to me because I
- 25:17 had read it before, but it didn't make any sense, but he
- 25:20 revealed to me the truths in it, and I thank God that I was
- 25:23 taught by the Holy Spirit and not by man.
- 25:26 Ryan: I think a good example for me is sin can be sometimes
- 25:30 very attractive.
- 25:31 It has a lot of flavor to it, so like this is gum, for example.
- 25:35 If I take a piece of gum, chew up the flavor out of it, find
- 25:41 Jesus, get rid of it.
- 25:45 Then I feel more pure, get all good, but if I get the--if I get
- 25:51 it back, it's a little worse.
- 26:00 So, I think it is really important.
- 26:03 So, like it's really important to let go and just stay with him
- 26:09 the first time.
- 26:10 Don't come back to it because it's just--yeah, it actually did
- 26:12 have a good flavor coming out of his mouth in this

- 26:16 Caleb: That is definitely a good example of returning to your
