• 00:28 Joshua: The genealogy sections in Scripture
• 00:30 are possibly the most important information
• 00:33 in the whole Bible.
• 00:35 They provide an accurate historical
• 00:37 dating system for the world
• 00:38 since the creation of Adam.
• 00:40 Most creation scientists, theologians, and
• 00:42 biblical historians would date the worldwide
• 00:45 flood to around 2348 BC.
• 00:50 Nearly 100 years later, in 2242, was
• 00:54 the Tower of Babel event.
• 00:57 Eventually, Abraham would be born in 1996 BC.
• 01:02 The lifetime of a man was slowly cycling down
• 01:05 after God’s 120 year time limit in Genesis 6:3,
• 01:10 but Noah and the pre-Flood elders
• 01:11 still lived an extended life span
• 01:14 as he died at the age of 950, 2 years before Abram’s birth.
• 01:20 But his son Shem would live as a contemporary of Abraham
• 01:24 for 150 years.
• 01:26 And then 25 years later, Abe would die at 175.
• 01:31 Why is any of this important?
• 01:33 Well, because the ancestral trail
• 01:35 provides evidence for the origin of nations,
• 01:38 and it also helps estimate the time when Nephilim,
• 01:41 again, infiltrated the earth.
• 01:43 Just as Noah was the lone prophet
• 01:45 declaring judgment in a world of Nephilim,
• 01:48 his righteous progeny were still alive
• 01:50 and preaching truth in the midst of the return
• 01:53 of polytheism and demon worship.
• 01:55 And thus, it is possible that the participation
• 01:59 of humans in the Gigantomachy may
• 02:01 have been influenced by the elders
• 02:03 of the antediluvian world.
• 02:05 Shem’s descendants through his son Elam,
• 02:08 Asher, Arfashad, Lud, and Aram may have had cause
• 02:13 to lead the conquest of the giant wars
• 02:15 in the time of Abraham.
• 02:16 Or, perhaps, there was a more
• 02:18 sinister motive at play.

• 02:41 The challenges we face today do not recognize borders.
• 02:43 It is time for a unified border.
• 02:51 Caleb Colson: Genesis 14:1-4: “At the time
• 02:55 when Amraphel was king of Shinar,
• 02:57 Arioch king of the Ellasar, Kedorlaomer king of Elam
• 03:01 and Tidal king of Goyim, these kings went to war
• 03:04 against Bera king of Sodom, Bersha king of Gomorrah,
• 03:07 Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboyim,
• 03:11 and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar).
• 03:14 All of these latter kings joined forces
• 03:16 in Valley of Siddim
• 03:17 (that is the Dead Sea Valley).
• 03:19 For twelve years they had been subject
• 03:21 to Kedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth
• 03:23 year they rebelled.”
• 03:27 Caleb: Thanks for coming with me today, Shoshannah,
• 03:29 my favorite first-born daughter.
• 03:31 I only have one of them,
• 03:33 so that’s why you’re my favorite.
• 03:34 And where’s Josh?
• 03:36 Hold on. [phone buzzing]
• 03:41 Josh: Well, hello, brother.
• 03:42 Caleb: Josh, what are you doing?
• 03:45 Josh: As you can see,
• 03:46 I am still in my hotel room.
• 03:48 I am unfortunately dealing
• 03:50 with Montezuma and his
• 03:51 transition from Latin countries
• 03:53 to his revenge here in my hotel room.
• 03:57 Caleb: Really? Not again.
• 03:59 Shoshannah Colson: Well, this is
• 04:01 the valley of Siddim and it’s
• 04:02 pretty dead and desolate.
• 04:05 But back in Abraham’s day, like,
• 04:06 this was the place to be.
• 04:09 Lot chose this land because of its–it
• 04:11 being lush and fertile and perfect for his animals,
• 04:13 his flocks.
• 04:15 It was a great place, but now it’s very dry and dead.
• 04:21 What was the story behind all that?
• 04:23 Caleb: I think people should know the story
• 04:25 behind what happened near the Dead Sea,
• 04:27 the story of Sodom and Gomorrah,
• 04:29 but I want to focus on why I brought you guys here.
• 04:32 Josh, Genesis 14 story details King
• 04:35 Kedorlaomer of Elam.
• 04:37 He forms this massive alliance of four kings.
• 04:40 We’re talking, it’s estimated,
• 04:42 in the millions, this army.
• 04:44 And they come here because they held dominion
• 04:46 over all the region of Canaan, Jordan territory,
• 04:50 and five kings rebelled against them.
• 04:52 These kings led by the king of Sodom,
• 04:55 the cities of a plain, like the plain you mentioned
• 04:57 behind us, Shoshannah.
• 05:00 But this king was real, and the Kedorlaomer tablets,
• 05:04 tablets in cuneiform, tell of his existence
• 05:07 and his allies and the things that he did.
• 05:09 Well, the point is, instead of subjugating
• 05:14 these five kings led by Sodom who rebel
• 05:16 against his rule, he decides to go
• 05:18 on an ethnic cleansing spree to wipe out all the giant
• 05:22 tribes all the way to the north, all the way
• 05:25 to the west, to the south.
• 05:27 He doesn’t like them for some reason,
• 05:28 and this has baffled people for so many years.
• 05:32 Josh: Well, that’s dumb.
• 05:33 Why would you want to kill the Nephilim?
• 05:35 It’s like super hard to do.
• 05:38 Josh: Genesis 14:5-7: “Kedorlaomer and
• 05:41 the kings allied with him went out
• 05:44 and defeated the Rephaites in Ashteroth Karnaim,
• 05:48 the Zuzites in Ham, the Emites in Shaveh
• 05:51 Kiriathaim, and the Horites in the hill country of Seir,
• 05:55 as far as El Paran, near the desert.
• 05:58 Then they turned back and went to En Mishpat
• 06:01 (that is, Kadesh), and they conquered the whole
• 06:03 territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites,
• 06:06 who were living in Hazezon Tamar.”
• 06:11 Caleb: That’s right, Josh.
• 06:12 He literally goes everywhere, wiping out the giants,
• 06:15 just slaying them left and right.
• 06:17 Shoshannah, I find it interesting
• 06:20 that if you look in the Genesis
• 06:21 10 Table of Nations, you don’t see
• 06:23 any of those giant tribes listed because they weren’t
• 06:26 from the line of Ham, Shem, and Japheth.
• 06:28 They were from the Benai Elohim’s union
• 06:31 with the daughters of men, so that’s–
• 06:34 Josh: Wait, wait, wait,
• 06:35 hold on, wait, hold on.
• 06:38 Caleb: Yes.
• 06:40 Josh: Actually, in Genesis 10, the Amorites
• 06:43 were originally regular humans.
• 06:46 Until they gave in to their lusty ways
• 06:48 and got promiscuous with the Nephilim,
• 06:50 which in turn led God to call Joshua
• 06:52 and little Caleb, as I call him,
• 06:55 to go wipe out every man, woman, and child
• 06:57 because their blood was made of demon’s blood.
• 06:59 Boom!
• 07:01 Shoshannah: And Moses, through the inspiration
• 07:03 of the Holy Spirit, tells us how
• 07:04 most of these giant races were already wiped out
• 07:07 by the time the Israelites came into the Promised Land
• 07:09 in 1407 BC.
• 07:12 Most of them had already been wiped out
• 07:13 by that time, and the ones that Kedorlaomer
• 07:16 didn’t wipe out, the descendants of Lot
• 07:19 and Esau were doing that 100 or so years later.
• 07:23 Caleb: That’s right, so God was literally
• 07:25 clearing the path for the Israelites to get
• 07:27 into the Promised Land.
• 07:31 Josh: Deuteronomy 2:10-12: “(The Emim had dwelt there
• 07:34 in times past, a people as great
• 07:36 and numerous and tall as the Anakim.
• 07:38 They were also regarded as giants, like the Anakim,
• 07:41 but the Moabites called them Emim.
• 07:44 The Horites formerly dwelt in Seir, Amman’s territory–
• 07:48 (That was also regarded as a land of giants;
• 07:51 Giants formerly dwelt there, but the Ammonites
• 07:54 called them Zamzummim, a people as great
• 07:57 and numerous and tall as the Anakim.
• 07:59 But the Lord destroyed them before them,
• 08:02 and they dispossessed them and dwelt in their place,
• 08:06 just as He had done for the descendants of Esau
• 08:08 who dwelt in Seir, where he destroyed
• 08:10 the Horites from before them.”
• 08:14 Shoshannah: Why was the ethnic cleansing of the giants
• 08:16 so important?
• 08:17 Caleb: Very important indeed.
• 08:19 I think it’s interesting that in the Jewish Midrash–
• 08:23 Josh: Well, actually, actually, the Midrash
• 08:27 is not Scripture.
• 08:28 Caleb: Yes, Josh, that one.
• 08:31 It mentions Nimrod’s real name.
• 08:35 Because people believe that Nimrod was lost
• 08:38 to time, his true name, because Moses gave
• 08:41 the name Nimrod as “we shall rebel,”
• 08:43 it’s just a title for the dude.
• 08:44 It’s like, “This dude isn’t worth my time
• 08:46 to give his real name in Scripture.”
• 08:48 Moses did that a lot under inspiration
• 08:50 of the Holy Spirit.
• 08:52 But, according to the Midrash,
• 08:53 his name was Amraphel.
• 08:55 So Amraphel, he was the ruler of Shinar.
• 08:59 He had a general named Kedorlaomer.
• 09:03 So Kedorlaomer, you know, you read with
• 09:06 the alliance of the kings, Kedorlaomer, Amraphel,
• 09:10 he was the king of the Elamites,
• 09:11 so they’re all joined together.
• 09:12 Now you see the link with that.
• 09:15 Well, according to tradition, after
• 09:19 the dispersion of Babel, Kedorlaomer, the general
• 09:23 of Nimrod, goes to war with the Elamites,
• 09:26 captures it, becomes their king, their ruler.
• 09:28 Ten years later, he goes to war
• 09:29 against Nimrod himself, defeats him, subjugates him,
• 09:33 so Nimrod becomes a vassal.
• 09:35 And that’s why, when it’s time
• 09:37 for an alliance of kings, they all have to listen
• 09:39 to Kedorlaomer.
• 09:40 Amraphel, Nimrod, comes along with him,
• 09:43 and they come here to wipe out the giants.
• 09:46 And that’s why it’s interesting because Nimrod is said
• 09:48 to be a giant, all these guys were said
• 09:50 to be giants, which is where you get that connection.
• 09:52 Maybe it was like, “We want to be
• 09:54 the best giants and ethnically
• 09:55 cleanse those lesser giants so that there won’t be
• 09:58 as strong a rebellion.”
• 10:00 Because it’s even hinted in Scripture,
• 10:02 and in other places of rabbinical commentaries,
• 10:05 as Sodom and Gomorrah also had polluted
• 10:07 bloodline of Nephilim.
• 10:10 Josh: At the time of Nebuchadnezzar,
• 10:12 it is hinted that the Babylonians’s blood
• 10:15 was not pure.
• 10:17 That, in fact, it had been tainted with demons.
• 10:20 But this comes from a prophecy
• 10:23 where God links the Babylonians
• 10:25 with the gibborim.
• 10:28 Josh: Ezekiel 32:11-12: “For thus says
• 10:31 Adonai Elohim: ‘The sword of the king
• 10:33 of Babylon will come upon you.
• 10:35 By the swords of the gibborim, I will cause your multitude
• 10:38 to fall.
• 10:39 They are ruthless among the nations.
• 10:41 They will devastate the pride of Egypt.
• 10:43 All of its multitudes will be annihilated.'”
• 10:47 Shoshannah: So after Kedorlaomer fought
• 10:50 all the Nephilim, killed them off,
• 10:51 then he came to the Valley of Siddim
• 10:53 where he fought against the alliance
• 10:55 of the five kings led by the king of Sodom.
• 10:58 So we’re here at Bab edh-Dhra,
• 10:59 which is the ancient site of Sodom,
• 11:03 there’s nothing left.
• 11:04 Caleb: There is nothing left.
• 11:06 Way to go, God.
• 11:07 Josh: Did you know that the location of Sodom
• 11:10 was lost for millennium?
• 11:14 For, like, ever.
• 11:16 Until archaeologist William F. Albright
• 11:18 discovered that location.
• 11:21 That’s exactly where you’re standing,
• 11:22 there, right now.
• 11:24 Caleb: Well, it’s interesting
• 11:25 that archaeologists, some of them don’t
• 11:27 believe this was the site of ancient Sodom.
• 11:29 They say only 1,000 people could have lived
• 11:31 in the city, this tel that we’re on.
• 11:34 But, interestingly, across the freeway there,
• 11:38 they have uncovered over 20,000 burial plots
• 11:41 for families.
• 11:43 At the very end, you can see some rocks
• 11:45 sticking out.
• 11:46 There are more grave sites there.
• 11:48 In total, they found half a million people
• 11:50 that were buried here from the time of Abraham.
• 11:53 That tells me there’s a lot of people here
• 11:55 and they died, so.
• 11:58 Josh: Genesis 14:8-12: “The king of Sodom.
• 12:02 The king of Gomorrah.
• 12:03 The king of Admah, the king of Zeboyim,
• 12:06 the king of Bela (that is, Zoar),
• 12:09 marched out and drew up their battle lines
• 12:11 in the Valley of Siddim against Kedorlaomer
• 12:14 king of Elam, Tidal king of Goyim,
• 12:17 Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar–
• 12:21 four kings against five.
• 12:24 Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits,
• 12:26 and when the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled,
• 12:28 some of the men fell into them,
• 12:30 and the rest fled the hills.
• 12:32 The four kings seized all the goods of Sodom
• 12:34 and Gomorrah and all their food;
• 12:36 then they went away.
• 12:37 They also carried off Abram’s nephew Lot
• 12:39 and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.”
• 12:43 Caleb: Oh, Shoshanna, I mean this is the area
• 12:45 where the five cities of the plain were.
• 12:49 Sodom, as we visited, and then Gomorrah,
• 12:51 there’s all sorts of crazy city antics that happened here.
• 12:55 Shoshannah: I really enjoyed the trip over here.
• 12:56 That giant geological rock formation,
• 12:59 Lot’s wife, which I know wasn’t
• 13:02 Lot’s actual wife, but, like, it’s
• 13:04 a really cool reminder of that story
• 13:06 and what happened in this area.
• 13:08 Caleb: Unless Lot’s wife was a 20-foot-tall Nephilim,
• 13:11 you know, hey–
• 13:12 Shoshannah: You never know.
• 13:14 Caleb: It could be, but in this territory,
• 13:15 in this area where bitumen, petroleum deposits,
• 13:19 tar pits, they actually sold asphalt
• 13:21 that they found in these pits,
• 13:23 even as far down as Petra from here.
• 13:27 They sold them to Egypt because everybody
• 13:29 wanted a piece of it, but that’s the interesting thing
• 13:32 because in those tar pits and all this asphalt there
• 13:36 was also brimstone.
• 13:38 There was gas deposits.
• 13:40 This whole area lies on a fault line.
• 13:42 So when destruction would rain down on Sodom
• 13:45 and Gomorrah, it was like a ticking time
• 13:47 bomb waiting to go off.
• 13:49 [phone buzzing] Like–yes, Josh.
• 13:52 I know he’s calling.
• 13:53 I forgot to tell him we’re here.
• 13:56 Yeah, we made it here.
• 13:58 Josh: I guess I could see millions of people
• 13:59 fighting it out, duking it out in here.
• 14:02 Okay, I mean, obviously, tar pits flying up
• 14:06 out of nowhere, Nephilim sinking
• 14:07 in them ’cause they’re running around like hobbitses
• 14:11 with big feet, and I don’t know, did it happen?
• 14:14 I can see it.
• 14:16 Josh: Genesis 14:13-14: “A man who had escaped came
• 14:20 and reported this to Abram the Hebrew.
• 14:23 When Abram heard that his relative
• 14:24 had been taken captive, he called out
• 14:26 the 318 trained men born in this household,
• 14:30 and went in pursuit as far as Dan.”
• 14:33 Caleb: This to me is one of the greatest
• 14:35 recorded conflicts or battles in history
• 14:37 where an 86-year-old guy takes
• 14:39 300 of his servants and they take
• 14:42 on the greatest known army force
• 14:44 in the known world at that time.
• 14:47 You know, this was Nimrod and his friends, you know,
• 14:49 they were giants, Nephilim.
• 14:50 Verse 15 says, “During the night
• 14:52 Abram divided his men to attack them
• 14:55 and he routed them, pursuing them as far
• 14:57 as Hobah, north of Damascus.
• 14:59 He recovered all the goods and brought back
• 15:01 his relative Lot and his possessions,
• 15:04 together with the women and all the other people.”
• 15:08 Josh: Okay, yeah, all right, look at that.
• 15:11 Caleb: That’s crazy, Josh,
• 15:13 as far as Damascus, whew.
• 15:15 Shoshannah: Yeah, Abraham rescued Lot
• 15:16 and then the king of Sodom came and was trying
• 15:19 to offer him treasure for this.
• 15:21 And Abraham refused to take a single cent from him
• 15:24 because he knew that the Nephilim king
• 15:27 and his treasure were doomed for the coming destruction.
• 15:30 Josh: Genesis 18:20-21: “Then the Lord said,
• 15:34 ‘The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great
• 15:37 and their sins so grievous, that I will go down and see
• 15:41 if what they have done is as bad as the outcry
• 15:44 that has reached me.
• 15:45 If not, I will know.'”
• 15:49 Shoshannah: But I think we all know the story.
• 15:51 So Abraham is visited by three people, two angels
• 15:54 and God in human form, and then Abraham tries
• 15:58 to bargain with God.
• 15:59 He’s like, “Hey, look, if there’s 50 people,
• 16:01 if there’s just 50 people living there,
• 16:03 will you spare the town?”
• 16:04 And God’s like, “Okay, if there’s 50, I’ll spare them.”
• 16:07 And then Abraham’s like, “No, no, 45, 40, 30, 20, 10?
• 16:11 If there’s ten people, will you spare them?”
• 16:13 And God says, “Yes, if there’s ten people,
• 16:15 I will spare the town.”
• 16:16 Caleb: You know, not to offend anyone,
• 16:18 but I call that the first Judah,
• 16:19 and I can say that because I’m Jewish.
• 16:21 But those two angels that God sends out go
• 16:24 to the city of Bab edh-Dhra, Sodom, and they
• 16:26 find Lot sitting at the city gate.
• 16:28 He sees them and he knows there’s
• 16:30 something special about him.
• 16:31 Maybe he knew they had some kind of angelic
• 16:33 connection just like Abraham figured out.
• 16:35 So he tries to persuade them,
• 16:37 “Come into my home.
• 16:39 It’s not safe out here.”
• 16:40 Even he knew Sodom wasn’t safe.
• 16:43 Josh: Genesis 19:3-5: “[Lot]
• 16:46 prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast
• 16:48 and they ate.
• 16:50 Before they had gone to bed,
• 16:51 all of the men from every part
• 16:52 of the city of Sodom– both young and old,
• 16:54 surrounded the house.
• 16:56 They called to Lot, ‘Where are the men
• 16:58 who came to you tonight?
• 17:00 Bring them out to us so that we can have sex
• 17:03 with them.'”
• 17:05 Josh: You know, Josephus mentions
• 17:06 that Nephilim bloodlines have become integrated
• 17:08 into Sodom, and all the Canaanite
• 17:11 kings of that region were believed to be god
• 17:13 kings, demigods.
• 17:15 Caleb: Okay, I’m just saying, perhaps the men of Sodom
• 17:18 saw these fallen angels come down before
• 17:21 in human form and they knew that–
• 17:23 what was going on.
• 17:24 And since all the old breed of giants had died out
• 17:27 and they were already really genetically inferior
• 17:29 at that point, they wanted
• 17:30 to create a more pure breed of Nephilim, you know,
• 17:33 to rule, a higher class system.
• 17:35 Shoshannah: Well, whichever way they
• 17:37 were trying to do this, Lot was doing his very best
• 17:39 to protect the men.
• 17:40 He had already invited the angels
• 17:42 into his home and so it was his job
• 17:45 as a hospitable guest to protect them.
• 17:47 And he was even willing to give up his daughters
• 17:49 to protect these men.
• 17:50 Not–not great.
• 17:52 Caleb: I would never do that.
• 17:53 Shoshannah: But he was still–he was willing
• 17:55 to go the extra mile for them.
• 17:57 So much so that these men were like, “Hey,
• 17:58 you think you’re better than us?
• 18:00 Let’s kill you.”
• 18:01 And the angels had to drag him inside
• 18:02 and blind everyone to protect him.
• 18:04 Caleb: I like that part.
• 18:05 Shoshannah: You like that part?
• 18:07 Yeah, but then, the angels were like,
• 18:09 “You guys gotta get out at dawn,” they’re like,
• 18:10 “You all gotta get out, it’s time to go.”
• 18:12 And Lot’s like, “Hey, so here’s the deal,
• 18:15 like, I don’t wanna run, like, I got little legs,
• 18:17 like, can I stop at this little
• 18:19 place called Zoar?
• 18:21 Like, that that’s good enough.”
• 18:22 And the angels are like, “Okay, fine,
• 18:23 we won’t wipe out that town, go ahead,
• 18:26 just don’t look back and go straight there.”
• 18:29 Caleb: That’s a lot of–that would be Josh,
• 18:31 maybe, not wanting to run too far.
• 18:33 I’m–speaking of Josh, I’m–
• 18:35 Josh: I know you’re talking bad about me, brother.
• 18:38 Caleb: Yeah, I wasn’t talking bad about you.
• 18:40 How did you know what I was saying about you?
• 18:44 Josh: Genesis 19:23-26: “By the time Lot
• 18:48 reached Zoar the sun had risen over the land.
• 18:51 Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom
• 18:54 and Gomorrah, from the Lord
• 18:56 out of the heavens.
• 18:58 Thus he overthrew those cities
• 19:00 and the entire plain, destroying all those living
• 19:03 in the cities and also the vegetation in the land.
• 19:06 But Lot’s wife looked back as she became a pillar of salt.”
• 19:12 Caleb: That’s pretty.
• 19:14 There’s greenery, there’s the Dead Sea,
• 19:16 but everything’s lush like the Valley of Siddim
• 19:19 is supposed to be, the valley of the plains, huh.
• 19:22 Shoshannah: It’s definitely different,
• 19:24 you know, having just gone to Sodom where everything
• 19:26 is still bare and desolate, like it’s crazy.
• 19:28 There you could find all the remnants of the ash
• 19:30 from dating back to Abraham’s time,
• 19:32 versus here where it’s just beautiful like–
• 19:36 Caleb: It is beautiful, I mean, they found
• 19:37 Gomorrah, they found Admah, Zeboyim, the five cities
• 19:40 of the plain.
• 19:42 All of them were covered in ash and destruction.
• 19:45 Not Zoar, not here.
• 19:47 Back in 1999, just beyond those palm trees,
• 19:50 they found the original Abraham-era remnant
• 19:53 of Zoar, here in Safi.
• 19:56 And no destruction layers, it continued
• 19:59 on for many thousands of years.
• 20:00 We were just going through Byzantine-era ruins,
• 20:04 Islamic-era ruins.
• 20:05 And so, just the normal ways of
• 20:08 those civilizations ended by war and conquest,
• 20:10 they did not find the destruction of war
• 20:12 and conquest in those other four
• 20:14 seas of the plain just from brimstone and burning
• 20:18 and fire, it just proves the Bible’s accuracy.
• 20:20 You know, sulfur is so dangerous, Shoshannah.
• 20:23 If you light a sulfur ball on fire, you can put it
• 20:26 on top of a metal car and it can burn through
• 20:29 that car all the way to the ground,
• 20:31 and toxic fumes come from that burning sulfur
• 20:35 that can kill you.
• 20:36 So this kind of judgment, it was not a light thing,
• 20:39 and millions of people perished from it.
• 20:43 Josh: Sulfur is the MacGyver of mineral
• 20:46 death killings.
• 20:48 Josh: Genesis 19:30: “Lot and his two
• 20:51 daughters left Zoar and settled
• 20:53 in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay

• 21:08 There’s Lot’s Cave, but I don’t know
• 21:09 if I wanna go any further.
• 21:11 Josh: Oh yeah, yeah, Lot’s cave, sure,
• 21:13 yeah, let’s just head there.
• 21:15 It’s not like anything bad’s ever happened to Lot’s Cave.
• 21:16 Yeah, why don’t I go ahead and close my eyes
• 21:18 and see what happens?
• 21:20 Caleb: Man, whew, it is just five minutes
• 21:24 a drive from Zoar, Safi, right there.
• 21:28 But this cave is so amazing because not only
• 21:31 did they find it on the Madaba map but
• 21:35 when archaeologists were digging inside,
• 21:37 Shoshannah, they found evidence
• 21:40 from the 1st century AD, New Testament period,
• 21:43 that people came on pilgrimages to hike
• 21:47 up there to learn more about Lot’s–yeah.
• 21:50 I don’t know why they venerate him.
• 21:52 It’s like they made a shrine as if he did something great.
• 21:54 Yeah, it’s really messed up.
• 21:55 [Josh audibly sighs]
• 21:56 What? Yes, Josh?
• 21:59 Josh: Wait, you’re expecting me to tell
• 22:01 everybody about Lot’s cave?
• 22:02 I’m the sick one.
• 22:06 I already get in trouble enough.
• 22:08 Everybody, it’s time to tell you a little story.
• 22:11 This is not time for your children to hear,
• 22:14 so please go ahead and cover them with earmuffs.
• 22:18 When you live in a bad place, there’s a potential for it
• 22:21 to rub off on you.
• 22:23 That’s why when you were a kid, your parents said,
• 22:24 “Hey, don’t hang out with them.
• 22:27 It’s a bad influence.”
• 22:28 Well, we know that Sodom was known
• 22:30 as a town of perversion and bad things, right?
• 22:33 Lot had no male heirs.
• 22:37 And so, in this cave, his daughters decided
• 22:41 to make a bad decision.
• 22:43 They decided that maybe they needed
• 22:45 to have some heirs.
• 22:49 So they got their dad drunk, had sex with him
• 22:51 on two separate nights, and then had kids.
• 22:55 I can’t tell you anything other than that.
• 22:59 But it happened.
• 23:01 Caleb: Yeah, it’s gross.
• 23:03 Shoshannah: Anyway, so both the daughters
• 23:07 got pregnant.
• 23:08 The oldest daughter had Moab,
• 23:10 the father of the Moabites, and the younger daughter,
• 23:12 she had Ben Ami or Amman, the father of the Ammonites,
• 23:16 which present-day Amman in Jordan is actually
• 23:21 where they settled, east of the Jordan.
• 23:23 Caleb: Yeah, it’s not too far that way…
• 23:25 Well, it’s a little bit of a drive, but, hm.
• 23:30 Josh: Luke 17:26, 28-30: “And as it was
• 23:34 in the days of Noah, so it will be also
• 23:36 in the days of the Son of Man: Likewise, as it was also
• 23:40 in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank,
• 23:42 they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
• 23:45 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom,
• 23:48 it rained fire and brimstone from heaven
• 23:51 and destroyed them all.
• 23:53 Even so it will be in the day
• 23:55 when the Son of Man is revealed.”
• 23:59 Shoshannah: Yeshua is making a comparison
• 24:01 between the days of Noah and the days of Lot.
• 24:03 Both are acting in manners of strange flesh,
• 24:06 as the Bible compares them.
• 24:08 Josh: No, no.
• 24:11 It’s so bad.
• 24:13 I mean, it’s worse with a strange flesh
• 24:14 with demons, but no.
• 24:16 Why do they say that?
• 24:18 Caleb: Yeah, it’s–yeah, it’s really strange, Josh.
• 24:22 It’s really just working against the intended
• 24:25 purpose of your body and how you were created.
• 24:28 It’s sinning against yourself.
• 24:30 And you really have to work hard to figure
• 24:33 out ways to outdo the way God intended man
• 24:37 to be and that’s the same situation
• 24:39 that happened
• 24:40 with the fallen angels who came down
• 24:44 this Benai Elohim, it just didn’t work.
• 24:47 It wasn’t meant to be angels and mankind.
• 24:50 It was working against their intended
• 24:52 purpose, and Jude, the brother of Yeshua,
• 24:54 speaks about this.
• 24:57 Josh: Jude 1:6-7: “And the angels
• 25:00 which kept not their first estate,
• 25:01 but left their own habitation, he hath reserved
• 25:05 in everlasting chains under darkness unto
• 25:07 the judgment of the great day.
• 25:10 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them
• 25:12 in like manner, giving themselves over
• 25:14 to fornication, and going after
• 25:17 strange flesh, are set forth for an example,
• 25:20 suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
• 25:24 Caleb: You know, Yeshua’s brother Jude
• 25:27 said it clearly, it wasn’t just
• 25:28 that in the days of Noah, mankind was sinning
• 25:31 with homosexuality, the fallen angels
• 25:33 were sinning with mankind, making this monstrosity
• 25:36 of giants, the Nephilim, and that was perverse.
• 25:39 But even with all that they were doing that was evil,
• 25:41 Yeshua warns in Matthew 10
• 25:45 and 11 that there is an even worse judgment
• 25:49 for those who reject his truth,
• 25:51 who reject his Word, who reject all the goodness
• 25:53 that he has to offer us.
• 25:55 Shoshannah: Yeah, Yeshua says
• 25:56 that the sinners of Sodom and Gomorrah will
• 25:58 receive more mercy than these Pharisees
• 26:00 who think that they are self-righteous,
• 26:01 that are trying to attain their own holiness.
• 26:04 Caleb: That’s how much he despises
• 26:06 the religious spirit.
• 26:08 What do you think, Josh?
• 26:11 Josh: One of the phrases that I’ve heard in life
• 26:13 that always confused me was the phrase
• 26:16 “it’s not that bad.”
• 26:18 That seems to be a barometer for many people nowadays
• 26:20 when we get ourselves in situations,
• 26:22 we’re somewhere we shouldn’t be, we say,
• 26:24 “Oh, it’s not that bad.”
• 26:26 But here the Bible says as bad as it was in Sodom
• 26:29 and Gomorrah, the city that was literally
• 26:33 the poster child for perversion,
• 26:36 it’s going to be even worse in the end times.
• 26:39 The times that we’re heading
• 26:41 into now are so perverse, and they’re sucking people
• 26:44 in on a daily basis, but not even that.
• 26:47 The Nephilim are going to return.
• 26:50 We are facing an unprecedented time
• 26:53 in history of both perversion, of the enemy
• 26:57 trying to come with deception.
• 26:59 It’s time to get right.
• 27:01 It’s time to know the truth and to live by it.
• 27:08 Josh: Luke 17:31-37: “On that day
• 27:11 (of Noah and Lot)
• 27:13 no one who is on the house top
• 27:15 with possessions inside should go down to get them.
• 27:18 Likewise, no one in the field should go back
• 27:20 for anything.
• 27:21 Remember Lot’s wife.
• 27:23 Whoever tries to keep their life
• 27:24 will lose it, and whoever loses
• 27:26 their life will preserve it.
• 27:27 I tell you, on that night two people
• 27:29 will be in one bed; one will be taken
• 27:31 and the other left.
• 27:32 Two women will be grinding grain together:
• 27:34 one will be taken and the other left.
• 27:36 Two men will be in the field:
• 27:37 the one will be taken and the other left.
• 27:40 ‘Where, Lord?’ they asked.
• 27:42 [Yeshua] replied, ‘Where there is a dead body,
• 27:46 there the vultures will gather.'”
• 27:48 This is the coming rapture of the bride
• 27:50 who chooses Yeshua.
• 27:52 They will be spared from the coming
• 27:53 judgment poured out on the earth
• 27:54 during the end times.
• 27:56 But for those who reject Messiah,
• 27:59 they will be left behind, just like those Nephilim left
• 28:03 during the Flood.
