  • 01:01 Joshua: Hey, everybody, I’m Joshua.
  • 01:03 Caleb: I’m Caleb.
  • 01:04 Joshua: This right here is Pastor Hirchie, this is Dr.
  • 01:08 Christian, and we are spelunking.
  • 01:10 Caleb: That’s right.
  • 01:11 Joshua: We are here in this amazing cave, Zedekiah’s Cave.
  • 01:14 This place is so popular, Josephus himself referenced it
  • 01:18 as the Royal Caverns.
  • 01:19 Caleb: In this cave, there’s passages, there’s
  • 01:21 tunnels everywhere.
  • 01:22 Joshua: They believe that only 50% of this cave has
  • 01:25 been discovered.
  • 01:26 Dr. Christian Widener: They’re quarrying stones and the debris
  • 01:27 is like used to backfill and so you’d have to excavate a lot
  • 01:30 more to be able to explore the whole cave.
  • 01:32 Caleb: That makes a lot of sense because it’s really deep and you
  • 01:34 have to climb up really high to get out of there, but there was
  • 01:37 actually secret ceremonies that were held here.
  • 01:39 The Freemasons, you know, the secret society, they like to
  • 01:43 connect their lineage back to King Solomon.
  • 01:45 They say he was the first Grand Master Mason.
  • 01:48 And that since he quarried stones here, then they revere

  • 01:56 gonna lie.
  • 01:57 Hirchie Schaffner: Well, you know, they recently,
  • 01:58 archaeologists have discovered some tunnels dug by the Knights
  • 02:03 Templar, you know, the Knights of the Crusade.
  • 02:06 I don’t know if Nicolas Cage has searched it out yet, but they
  • 02:09 have found these areas and what’s really crazy is they
  • 02:13 built those caves or those tunnels to escape in case of a
  • 02:17 Muslim attack and besieging this area.
  • 02:20 Caleb: That’s right.
  • 02:21 Hirchie: But we’re not talking about that right now.
  • 02:23 Caleb: Okay, what are we talking about?
  • 02:24 Hirchie: We are going to a whole ‘nother subject, the red heifer.
  • 02:28 It’s time to get into the depths of the red heifer.
  • 02:31 Joshua: Oh, that’s a connection, you nerds going from Masons
  • 02:34 to heifers.
  • 02:36 Caleb: It makes sense to me.
  • 02:37 Joshua: Now I just want lunch.
  • 02:39 I still think a red heifer burger would be fantastic.
  • 02:41 Hirchie: Ba-da ba-ba-ba.
  • 02:44 Caleb: Mishnah Parah 3:3, “They arrived at the Temple Mount and
  • 02:48 got down.
  • 02:49 Beneath the Temple Mount and the courts was a hollow which served
  • 02:52 as a protection against a grave in the depths.
  • 02:55 And at the entrance of a courtyard there was the jar of
  • 02:57 the ashes of the sin-offerings.”
  • 03:00 Joshua: You know, last week, our search for the ark ended here,
  • 03:03 in this cave of wonders.
  • 03:07 Not the one from that Disney film we don’t talk about.
  • 03:09 children: Aw!
  • 03:10 Joshua: And before we uncover the mysteries of the red heifer,
  • 03:13 we need to find something else, talk about something else:
  • 03:16 the qalal.
  • 03:17 It could be in the same location as the ark, and that is why we
  • 03:21 are still here in these mysterious caverns.
  • 03:24 Hirchie: Yeah, according to a lot of the ancient writings like
  • 03:26 the Mishnah–the qalal, it was a stone urn where all of the
  • 03:30 ashes of the incinerated red heifers was kept, and it was
  • 03:33 very sacred, obviously, to cleanse everything, and that was
  • 03:36 kept in the temple and in Solomon’s temple as well, it
  • 03:39 was there.
  • 03:41 Christian: Yeah, because really when they were building it,
  • 03:42 they–every stone that was quarried out of here that was
  • 03:45 going to the temple had to be sprinkled with the ashes of the
  • 03:47 red heifer to be purified too.
  • 03:49 Caleb: Well, that’s interesting.
  • 03:50 That makes sense why the Temple Institute and the Jewish people
  • 03:54 are so excited about the recent appearing of a red heifer,
  • 03:57 because they literally cannot build the temple and begin
  • 04:00 construction without the purification of the ashes and
  • 04:03 the water of cleansing.
  • 04:05 So if you think about it, according to the Mishnah, all
  • 04:09 the ashes were held in that qalal.
  • 04:11 It’s an Aramaic word for the stone urn enclosure, and nine
  • 04:16 red heifers were put into this one enclosure going all the way
  • 04:21 back from the time of Moses.
  • 04:23 And so most people would then believe, and it has been said
  • 04:27 over the centuries, that the current red heifers’s ashes have
  • 04:30 to be mixed with the previous nine, and they haven’t found the
  • 04:32 qalal yet.
  • 04:34 So I asked the rabbis from the Temple Institute, okay, do you
  • 04:37 really need that original qalal with all the ashes of
  • 04:40 red heifers?
  • 04:42 They said no.
  • 04:43 And I was really shocked. I’m like, no?
  • 04:44 “Like, you know, it’s really not necessary.”
  • 04:47 And that’s just, to me, it just blew my mind because now they
  • 04:50 even have it on their website, they have like, “Do you want to
  • 04:52 know about the qalal?
  • 04:54 No, we don’t need it.
  • 04:55 We can do it without it.”
  • 04:56 It goes back to that whole story that Jeremiah was the one who
  • 04:59 hid the ark of the covenant, the qalal.
  • 05:01 Maybe they have it, maybe they’ll find it.
  • 05:04 As you mentioned before, that it was impossible for Jeremiah to
  • 05:08 hide it while he was imprisoned by Zedekiah when the Babylonians
  • 05:12 were coming, they were besieging Jerusalem, but many people say
  • 05:15 that seven years before he hid it because he got a
  • 05:17 prophetic vision.
  • 05:19 So there’s a lot of mystery surrounding this, and we have to
  • 05:21 uncover what it all means.
  • 05:22 Joshua: I already uncovered it.
  • 05:24 They found the qalal.
  • 05:25 The intern sneezed.
  • 05:27 Ashes went everywhere.
  • 05:28 Now mysteriously, they don’t need it.
  • 05:29 Caleb: Okay. Joshua: Problem solved.
  • 05:31 Hirchie: Makes sense to me.
  • 05:32 Joshua: Can I go get another glass of tears, by the way?
  • 05:34 I’m kind of parched.
  • 05:38 Caleb: 2 Kings 25:8-9, “Nebuzaradan, commander of the
  • 05:42 imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came
  • 05:45 to Jerusalem.
  • 05:46 He set fire to the temple of the Lord.”
  • 05:48 Verse 13 through 15: “The Babylonians broke up the bronze
  • 05:52 pillars, the movable stands, and the bronze sea that were at the
  • 05:55 temple of the Lord and they carried the bronze to Babylon.
  • 05:59 They also took away the pots, shovels, wick trimmers, dishes,
  • 06:02 and all the bronze articles used in the temple service.
  • 06:05 And the commander of the imperial guard took away the
  • 06:07 censers and sprinkling bowls– all that were made of pure gold
  • 06:11 or silver.”
  • 06:12 Hirchie: So as that scripture says, we know that a lot of the
  • 06:16 lesser items of the temple were taken into Babylonian captivity
  • 06:20 into their treasury, and in this moment of major defilement
  • 06:26 Belshazzar, the king, uses all these items for a great feast.
  • 06:31 But again, our God being greater, he gets hit by the
  • 06:35 prophet Daniel, and that’s the end of it.
  • 06:38 That night he’s gone.
  • 06:40 Don’t mess with the Lord, right?
  • 06:41 And so the amazing thing to me, one of my favorite stories in
  • 06:45 the Bible, is then you have Cyrus who becomes the king, and
  • 06:49 he returns all these items to the Jews so that they can take
  • 06:52 it back to the land and back to their temple.
  • 06:55 Pretty amazing.
  • 06:56 Joshua: It is, and the items we’re talking about have never
  • 06:59 actually been on a list of captured just like some of us
  • 07:02 are on like the no-fly list.
  • 07:04 But these haven’t been put on that list, right?
  • 07:06 And that’s why Vendyl Miller Jones, famous archaeologist, was
  • 07:10 searching for that temple hoard of treasures that I just said
  • 07:14 wasn’t on the list of being found from the copper scrolls
  • 07:18 of Qumran.
  • 07:19 He was trying to find it thinking that possibly the ark
  • 07:21 of the covenant, the qalal, could be in that group because
  • 07:24 it hadn’t been found.
  • 07:25 Caleb: That’s true.
  • 07:27 Joshua: That’d be awesome.
  • 07:28 Caleb: I know Vendyl Jones, he’s kind of a controversial
  • 07:31 character here because he claimed to have his own
  • 07:34 translation for the Copper Scroll, and many archaeologists
  • 07:37 say it’s not authentic, but he believed that it’s said that the
  • 07:41 treasures of such the qalal and the ark of the covenant would be
  • 07:45 hidden in the cave of the column behind this pillar.
  • 07:48 Now they believe they found the cave of the Column, it’s one of
  • 07:51 the first four caves that were discovered where they found the
  • 07:54 Dead Sea Scrolls.
  • 07:56 They did not find this qalal, but there was a young boy who
  • 08:00 was on this archaeological expedition with him that
  • 08:03 was digging.
  • 08:04 They were chronicling the search for the ashes of a red heifer.
  • 08:06 He went back to Hollywood, he was a screenwriter, and he wrote
  • 08:10 the screenplay, “The Search for the Ashes of the Red Heifer.”
  • 08:13 They believe that that became “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” where
  • 08:16 they got the Indiana Jones story, because you have Vendyl
  • 08:19 Jones and Indy Jones.
  • 08:21 Joshua: Yeah, one of my favorite movies.
  • 08:22 Caleb: Yeah.
  • 08:24 Numbers 19: 3-6, “[Concerning the red heifer]
  • 08:27 You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, that he may take it
  • 08:30 outside the camp, and it shall be slaughtered before him; and
  • 08:33 Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his
  • 08:36 finger, and sprinkle some of its blood seven times directly in
  • 08:40 front of the tabernacle of meeting.
  • 08:42 Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight: its hide, its
  • 08:45 flesh, its blood, and its offal shall be burned.
  • 08:48 And the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet, and
  • 08:51 cast them into the midst of a fire burning the heifer.”
  • 08:56 Caleb: There we go.
  • 08:57 Joshua: That is not a terrible view.
  • 08:58 Well, there’s a part of it that’s terrible right there, a
  • 09:00 little reverse belly button.
  • 09:01 male: A little bit abominable.
  • 09:03 Joshua: So when you read that scripture, right, it’s pretty
  • 09:05 detailed about what has to be done to process that red heifer
  • 09:09 so its ashes are proper.
  • 09:11 And let’s be honest, when you look at the rabbinical
  • 09:12 commentary, it’s even more detailed with even more demands
  • 09:15 because they always roll that way.
  • 09:17 I, however, being neither of those people, have a very
  • 09:19 important question.
  • 09:21 Why is the red heifer necessary at all?
  • 09:24 Caleb: Hm, that’s good.
  • 09:26 Joshua: Asking for a friend, asking for a friend.
  • 09:28 Hirchie: –the same question, but in the scriptures in that
  • 09:31 time, right, there were lots of people that were unclean,
  • 09:35 “Unclean, unclean,” you know, and so I mean after childbirth,
  • 09:39 if you touched a dead body, if you touched the bone of an
  • 09:41 animal, you know, you were unclean even after you were
  • 09:44 healed, you had to actually go forward and have the water and
  • 09:49 the ashes of the red heifer cover you to be clean.
  • 09:51 So it was all the ceremonial cleansing.
  • 09:54 Christian: Yeah, and we talked about in the, you know,
  • 09:56 Zedekiah’s cave, right, you had to cleanse the temple, the
  • 09:59 articles in the temple, the priests had to be cleansed.
  • 10:02 Everybody who every year came up to the temple to go into the
  • 10:05 temple courts, they also needed to be sprinkled.
  • 10:09 And so, you know, as we see that, that’s an integral part of
  • 10:11 temple service.
  • 10:13 If there’s going to be, you know, a third temple at some
  • 10:15 point, you think they need the ashes of the red heifer to
  • 10:18 really bring back sort of any kind of semblance of temple
  • 10:21 worship on the Temple Mount.
  • 10:23 Caleb: Definitely, they’re going to have a lot of cows, I think.
  • 10:25 More than one is needed.
  • 10:27 Joshua: Are you trying to say I’ve sinned a lot?
  • 10:28 Caleb: No, no, no, I’m not.
  • 10:30 Caleb: Numbers 19:11-13, “Whoever touches a human corpse
  • 10:33 will be unclean for seven days.
  • 10:35 They must purify themselves with the water on the third day and
  • 10:38 on the seventh day; then they will be clean.
  • 10:41 But if they do not purify themselves on the third and
  • 10:44 seventh days, they will not be clean.
  • 10:46 If they fail to purify themselves after touching a
  • 10:49 human corpse, they defile the Lord’s tabernacle.
  • 10:52 They must be cut off from Israel.”
  • 10:55 Joshua: You know, since Levitical law is my favorite
  • 10:57 thing to talk about because it’s so riveting, I gotta be honest,
  • 11:01 if I’m looking at the Levitical law, it’s hard to say for me.
  • 11:04 It’s a common sense-based sport, right?
  • 11:07 You got a Dad who’s got kids, living in a time period full of
  • 11:10 disease and plague and all kinds of stuff, so he’s saying, “Hey,
  • 11:14 do these things and you’ll probably stay a little healthier
  • 11:17 than if you don’t,” right?
  • 11:18 “Keep separated,” when most people were dying of contagious
  • 11:21 diseases, “stay away from dead people.
  • 11:24 Trust me and my living water to purify you.
  • 11:27 Just follow the rules.”
  • 11:29 Hirchie: When we talk about the ashes of the red heifer, like
  • 11:33 for me and for all of us, it is exemplifying the sacrifice of
  • 11:37 Yeshua, right?
  • 11:38 I mean, the whole Levitical law says it’s redemption
  • 11:41 or replacement.
  • 11:43 Someone had to pay the price.
  • 11:44 Because we’re sinners, we’re cursed with it, but because of
  • 11:48 the blood of Jesus, the spotless Lamb, in that he engrafted us
  • 11:53 into his body, into his people, into Israel, and that to me is
  • 11:57 such an important aspect that we have to keep a focus on.
  • 12:00 Caleb: That’s really cool.
  • 12:02 Red, the color of a cow, purifies, cleanses, but it’s
  • 12:06 also ironic when you read Numbers 19 that the priests that
  • 12:09 actually performed the ceremony of incinerating that cow, they
  • 12:13 are made unclean by that process.
  • 12:15 Even they need the waters of purification, of lustration, to
  • 12:20 be clean again.
  • 12:21 Christian: And that living water that they use, you know, it’s
  • 12:24 like rainwater or spring water.
  • 12:26 We’ve got a great source here in the city of David at the Gihon
  • 12:28 Spring, but also, if you know, you remember back when we looked
  • 12:32 at the pools of Solomon, right, that brought living water all
  • 12:35 the way through an aqueduct to the city of Jerusalem for the
  • 12:38 temple sacrifices that were later done up at the
  • 12:41 Temple Mount.
  • 12:42 Caleb: Wow, I say we go and check out the Gihon Spring now
  • 12:45 because that’s pretty cool.
  • 12:46 Joshua: Is that same living water the stuff I drank in the
  • 12:48 cave, or is that different?
  • 12:50 Caleb: I don’t know if that qualifies.
  • 12:51 Joshua: Oh man.
  • 12:53 Caleb: Numbers 19:17-18: “For the unclean one, they are to
  • 12:58 take some of the ash of the burnt purification offering, and
  • 13:01 pour some fresh water into a jar.
  • 13:03 Then a clean person will take some hyssop, dip it into the
  • 13:06 water, and, sprinkle it on the tent, all the furnishings, and
  • 13:11 the people who were there, as well as the one touching the
  • 13:14 bone, the one killed, the corpse or the grave.”
  • 13:18 Christian: Check out this Canaanite-era pool.
  • 13:21 It’s been here from the time of Abraham, and this is where the
  • 13:24 Gihon Spring waters used to flow.
  • 13:27 So in the time of Solomon when he was crowned king, this is
  • 13:30 probably where it would have been done most likely, and this
  • 13:33 is where they would have gotten living water to mix with the
  • 13:36 ashes of the red heifer for the sprinkling.
  • 13:39 Caleb: That’s awesome.
  • 13:41 Hirchie: That’s pretty amazing.
  • 13:42 You know, all the mikvahs for the baptism, for the cleansing,
  • 13:45 had to come from living water into the temple, because when
  • 13:49 it’s stagnant water like a pool, algae, bacteria, all those
  • 13:52 things, some of the stuff Josh might have drunk in some of the
  • 13:55 episodes, you know, that’s the stagnant water, so they needed
  • 13:58 the living water to flow in.
  • 14:00 Caleb: That’s right.
  • 14:01 Joshua: And the commentators say about the balance, there’s
  • 14:03 always a ratio when you’re mixing supplements and stuff
  • 14:05 together, right?
  • 14:06 So you take your heifer ashes and you mix it together with
  • 14:08 the water.
  • 14:10 You get 1/3 for sprinkling, 1/3 for sanctifying water, and you
  • 14:12 got 1/3 for safekeeping.
  • 14:13 Now you take millions of Jewish people today and all the uh-ohs
  • 14:16 that happen during the day, it’s a lot of heifer needed to
  • 14:19 sanctify everybody.
  • 14:20 Caleb: And that’s a big head-scratching moment for me
  • 14:23 because rabbis, according to the Mishnah, can only chronicle nine
  • 14:26 red heifers that have been incinerated throughout history.
  • 14:30 Moses was the first.
  • 14:31 There was Ezra, and then they say there were seven during the
  • 14:33 Second Temple period.
  • 14:35 That’s only nine heifers to sprinkle millions of Israelites
  • 14:38 throughout history, I don’t know.
  • 14:39 Christian: Little goes a long way.
  • 14:40 Caleb: I guess so.
  • 14:42 Joshua: It’s just a dash.
  • 14:43 It’s the unspoken dash of cooking, a dash of heifer.
  • 14:48 Hirchie: So the Jewish sage, Maimonides, he said that this
  • 14:54 tenth red heifer would actually come from King Messiah himself.
  • 14:59 So knowing that, there’s a lot riding on a red heifer coming in
  • 15:03 because this is what they need if Messiah is gonna be bringing
  • 15:07 this red heifer in.
  • 15:08 Caleb: Okay, we’re looking for that guy now.
  • 15:11 Joshua: Oh my goodness.
  • 15:12 Well, there was five of them, right, that Caleb saw and I
  • 15:16 threatened in Texas.
  • 15:19 They were brought over.
  • 15:20 They were little babies, little wee heifers, all right.
  • 15:23 They had to make it to three to be blemish free, and they
  • 15:26 were ready.
  • 15:27 They were gonna do the ceremony, make it happen, then October
  • 15:29 7th happened.
  • 15:31 We were there on October 7th, right?
  • 15:33 Well, during this time period, this 100 days, right, but they
  • 15:36 couldn’t do it.
  • 15:37 Yahya Sinwar said, “Hey, the invasion happened because of
  • 15:41 the red heifers.”
  • 15:42 Caleb: Yeah, way to go, guy.
  • 15:44 Joshua: Way to go.
  • 15:45 Caleb: Yeah, blame it on that.
  • 15:46 Christian: Totally shows you kind of that we’re in this
  • 15:48 prophetic time of them coming back, them being stopped from
  • 15:52 being sacrificed.
  • 15:54 Like if there was something that says maybe we’re in the last
  • 15:56 days, another one of the signs, right?
  • 15:58 There’s been a bunch, but another one of them would be
  • 16:01 that we’re even talking about the red heifers.

  • 16:44 We are in Shiloh in Israel now, and originally those cows were
  • 16:48 from Tejas, Texas.
  • 16:49 They’re here behind us.
  • 16:51 We’re gonna be granted special access to see them, but the
  • 16:55 story is very interesting.
  • 16:56 When you look at Numbers 19, guys, it talks about the red
  • 16:59 heifer, we only get two qualifications from scripture
  • 17:02 about them.
  • 17:03 They had to be pure and spotless.
  • 17:04 Joshua: But there’s some new qualifications we found
  • 17:06 out today.
  • 17:07 Caleb: They have to have–be completely red, no two white or
  • 17:11 black hairs from the same follicle, you know?
  • 17:15 That’s pretty tough for this.
  • 17:16 They have to be female, at least 2 years and 1 month old.
  • 17:20 Joshua: Never bred, and they can’t touch any graves.
  • 17:23 Caleb: It’s very interesting that those qualifications are
  • 17:25 given in the Mishnah.
  • 17:27 The Mishnah, this oral tradition of the Hebrews, was not compiled
  • 17:32 until 200 AD.
  • 17:34 Now, the Jews today take the Mishnah, which is the oral
  • 17:38 interpretation of Torah, and they put more stock in it than
  • 17:41 Torah itself because they say God gave Moses the
  • 17:44 interpretation of what Torah meant and that’s why they go by
  • 17:47 that as literal scripture, literal gospel.
  • 17:50 I think it is very sad.
  • 17:53 If this is their only source, their only hope for redemption
  • 17:56 that they’re looking at right now, for restoration to the
  • 17:59 temple process.
  • 18:00 For 2000 years, they had not participated in the Levitical
  • 18:04 system of sacrifices and offerings.
  • 18:06 So how can they know the truth of what those things
  • 18:10 foreshadowed and lead to?
  • 18:11 They have all these traditions that the Mishnah created because
  • 18:15 the temple was destroyed in 70 AD.
  • 18:17 And they’ve been going by that for so many hundreds of years
  • 18:20 that now it’s going to be strange to them to get back to
  • 18:23 the way it’s supposed to be, but I still don’t think they’re
  • 18:25 going to be doing those sacrifices and ceremonies in the
  • 18:29 Third Temple the way that Leviticus subscribes to.
  • 18:32 They’re going to be going according to Mishna.
  • 18:34 Joshua: Well, that is a lot to digest.
  • 18:37 Let’s go in.
  • 18:38 We have to be very careful about what we say and what we do.
  • 18:41 And apparently they have a special kind of metal detector
  • 18:44 that can detect when Sharpies are on you, so they’re trying to
  • 18:46 thwart my plan to obviously…
  • 18:49 and whatnot, so.
  • 18:50 Caleb: Let’s go take a look at those cows.
  • 18:52 Hirchie: So I’m gonna be very quiet while we go in there.
  • 18:55 Caleb: Mishnah Parah 2:3, “All blemishes that cause consecrated
  • 18:59 animals to be invalid cause also the [red]
  • 19:01 cow to be invalid.
  • 19:03 If one had ridden on it, leaned on it, hung on its tail, crossed
  • 19:07 a river by its help, doubled up its leading rope, or put one’s
  • 19:11 cloak on it, it is invalid.
  • 19:13 But if one had only tied it up by its leading rope or made for
  • 19:17 it a sandal to prevent it from slipping or spread one’s cloak
  • 19:21 on it because of flies, it is valid.
  • 19:24 This is the general rule: wherever anything is done for
  • 19:27 its own sake, it remains valid; but if for the sake of another,
  • 19:30 it becomes invalid.
  • 19:32 If a bird rested on it, it remains valid.
  • 19:34 If a male beast mounted it, it becomes invalid.
  • 19:38 If it had two black or white hairs growing within one
  • 19:40 follicle, it is invalid.”
  • 19:47 Caleb: Well, we finally made it, guys.
  • 19:49 I remember these little calflets when they were just yay big and
  • 19:54 I was at the ranch in Rockwall, Texas.
  • 19:56 That was back in December 2021.
  • 19:59 And what an amazing thing.
  • 20:00 I took a selfie with these guys and now they are here.
  • 20:02 They are–guys!
  • 20:03 Ladies, they are full grown heifers, red heifers.
  • 20:09 We’re at the site in Shiloh.
  • 20:11 We were given access to film them again.
  • 20:13 They’re very gracious to let us see them.
  • 20:15 Four left, four heifers left.
  • 20:18 It’s very interesting.
  • 20:20 We know we’ve seen the news, people talking about, oh,
  • 20:22 they’re all disqualified.
  • 20:23 Well, technically they’re all disqualified now, but there’s
  • 20:26 two that we were told that has more potential.
  • 20:29 And the reasoning is because if they see a hair that is white.
  • 20:33 And the root is not white, but the top is white.
  • 20:36 They can pluck it out.
  • 20:37 But there’s specific rules that the rabbis have to go by.
  • 20:40 And so in a sense, two possibly could become kosher if they were
  • 20:45 ready to do the ceremony.
  • 20:46 Joshua: And because this period of time, almost 2000 years
  • 20:49 they’ve been waiting, this is not a process that they’re going
  • 20:51 to rush.
  • 20:52 This isn’t just about the technicality of it.
  • 20:54 This is about the spirituality of it for them as well,
  • 20:56 they said.
  • 20:58 And so waiting to really examine the process and also understand
  • 21:01 the process for breeding more red heifers to know which one
  • 21:04 has the best potential to produce the purest heifers
  • 21:07 after that.
  • 21:09 So this is, this is about the people here getting the chance
  • 21:12 to re-experience a process that was a part of their tradition
  • 21:16 for a very long time and picking that mantle back up again and
  • 21:19 learning how to do it.
  • 21:20 Caleb: Now everybody may have heard about the practice
  • 21:22 ceremony that occurred in July of 2025 in Shiloh.
  • 21:26 That was a practice ceremony.
  • 21:29 They were trying–they haven’t done this in 2000 years so we’re
  • 21:31 going to see what happens when you try to set this whole cow on
  • 21:34 fire and burn it down to its ashes.
  • 21:36 But there’s a lot of technical difficulties in getting one of
  • 21:40 these cows all the way to the Mount of Olives to perform
  • 21:43 the ceremony.
  • 21:44 Now they want to follow the Mishnah to the letter.
  • 21:46 They want to make sure that they do everything right.
  • 21:49 And there’s a lot of difficulties along the way that
  • 21:53 can make these cows unclean: if they got damaged as they were
  • 21:56 being moved in the process, they can’t put a lead rope on it and
  • 21:59 drag it out there, you know.
  • 22:01 Joshua: They can’t be near the graves either.
  • 22:03 Caleb: They can’t touch the graves.
  • 22:04 If you’ve been on the Mount of Olives, the entire place is
  • 22:07 unpure, is unclean.
  • 22:09 That’s why in the Mishnah, it’s discussed that they’re supposed
  • 22:11 to build a bridge from the eastern gate going over the
  • 22:15 Kidron to the Mount of Olives, and there’s supposed to be a
  • 22:18 raised platform over the graves in which they perform the
  • 22:21 ceremony of this cow here so that they don’t let the cow
  • 22:25 touch the graves and become unclean.
  • 22:28 This cow has to be pure.
  • 22:29 It cannot become unkosher during the entire process.
  • 22:33 Get those ashes, keep those ashes clean, and then they can
  • 22:36 use them for the water purification and all the things
  • 22:39 that they need it for.
  • 22:41 So right now they’re watching these cows so intently trying to
  • 22:44 keep them safe, keeping them healthy and strong.
  • 22:47 They finally have candidates now, so that is a game changer.
  • 22:53 Caleb: Ezekiel 36:24-27: “For I will take you out of the
  • 22:57 nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you
  • 23:01 back into your own land.
  • 23:03 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I
  • 23:06 will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all
  • 23:08 your idols.
  • 23:09 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; and I
  • 23:12 will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart
  • 23:15 of flesh.
  • 23:16 And I will put My Spirit in you and move you to follow My
  • 23:19 decrees and be careful to keep My laws.”
  • 23:23 Hirchie: So this passage that we just heard in Ezekiel, it’s
  • 23:26 Messianic, you know, it’s not about ashes of heifers and water
  • 23:32 and purification and all these other things that they’re
  • 23:34 looking into.
  • 23:35 The truth is that the message of redemption only comes from
  • 23:39 the Lord.
  • 23:40 The sanctification only comes from the Lord, and that’s the
  • 23:42 message we need our Jewish brothers to know.
  • 23:44 That’s the real message of redemption through Yeshua.
  • 23:48 So the red heifer isn’t important, or is it?
  • 23:53 Caleb: There is a little bit of importance to it, you know.
  • 23:56 We are here at the northern end of the Mount of Olives, and this
  • 24:00 is the best view to really understand what the Jews want to
  • 24:04 do with the red heifer because as you can see behind us,
  • 24:07 there’s the eastern gate.
  • 24:09 And directly across from the eastern gate will be a plot on
  • 24:13 the Mount of Olives where they want to sacrifice, well, not
  • 24:16 sacrifice, incinerate this heifer down to ashes.
  • 24:20 So that’s pretty hardcore that they’re going to take that
  • 24:22 heifer there to perform the ceremony, but this is a very
  • 24:27 interesting view to show how complicated it’s going to be
  • 24:30 because when they do it, everybody’s going to see it.
  • 24:33 Joshua: I was about to say, view is kind of the key word
  • 24:34 there because this is something that they want to keep hush-hush
  • 24:37 for a whole bunch of reasons, but there is absolutely zero way
  • 24:41 for them to build said causeway and to incinerate said heifer
  • 24:44 without everyone in the world seeing it.
  • 24:47 So when this happens, this is not going to be an
  • 24:51 uncontested issue.
  • 24:53 In fact, the gentleman we talked to about that was saying it
  • 24:57 could cause World War III.
  • 24:59 We’re talking on that type of level of intensity.
  • 25:02 So does it really matter?
  • 25:03 That’s the question.
  • 25:05 Does it matter where it happens, you know?
  • 25:06 Couldn’t they just incinerate it somewhere else?
  • 25:08 Does it have to be here?
  • 25:09 Does it have to be in all the specificity of what the
  • 25:11 Mishnah says?
  • 25:14 Caleb: They believe it.
  • 25:15 It doesn’t have to be–
  • 25:16 Joshua: But it doesn’t have to be that way.
  • 25:18 And so because of that we’re seeing what this is all gonna
  • 25:21 eventually ramp up to potentially.
  • 25:25 Caleb: Now the question is why are Christians so excited about
  • 25:29 the red heifer?
  • 25:30 Well, they see it as an opportunity for Jesus to come
  • 25:33 back soon and they get their ticket out of here.
  • 25:36 We haven’t been shy over the last few years, Josh and I,
  • 25:39 about our opposition against the Red Heifer Project and the Third
  • 25:43 Temple Project.
  • 25:44 Not that we don’t want to see our Jewish brethren excited and
  • 25:47 be able to do the things that they know make them Jewish.
  • 25:51 But the problem is that they’re finding their redemption is
  • 25:55 something that will not redeem them.
  • 25:57 Yeshua has already come to redeem them from the law of sin
  • 26:00 and death.
  • 26:02 He is the only way to the Father.
  • 26:03 You know, John 14:6 says, Yeshua says, “I am the way, the truth,
  • 26:07 and the life.
  • 26:08 No man comes to the Father but through Me.”
  • 26:09 And if we as Christians are supporting them financially in
  • 26:13 this effort, we’re leading them on to their doom, the third
  • 26:17 temple of doom that will lead to their destruction during
  • 26:20 the Tribulation.
  • 26:21 Joshua: As Caleb said, If we truly believe that salvation
  • 26:24 through Yeshua is the only way for our Jewish brothers to be
  • 26:28 saved, which the Bible says it is, then supporting the third
  • 26:32 temple of doom is sending them to their death, because we know
  • 26:36 that this third temple signifies the beginning of the Tribulation
  • 26:40 period, and during that period of time, the Bible tells us that
  • 26:44 2/3 of the Jews will be put to death.
  • 26:48 It is our responsibility now today, every day until the Lord
  • 26:54 returns, to save as many of our brothers and sisters
  • 26:58 as possible.
  • 26:59 Hirchie: Yeah, you know, and we talked about it earlier, this
  • 27:01 Third Temple is going to happen.
  • 27:03 It has to happen.
  • 27:05 The red heifer, the ashes, all that has to happen, but it has
  • 27:08 to happen as a witness to the Jewish people that that
  • 27:12 sacrifice is not enough, that the sacrifice, as we know, was
  • 27:17 made on the cross 2000 years ago when Yeshua gave his life so
  • 27:22 that we could find resurrection power.
  • 27:24 You know, Jesus himself, he said, “Occupy until I come, you
  • 27:28 know, go for–go into all the world and preach the gospel,”
  • 27:31 and this is the message that needs to be heard.
  • 27:33 So when this desolation temple, when this horrible thing comes,
  • 27:37 we want them to know the truth beforehand.
  • 27:39 We want them to see that the sacrifice was made so that they
  • 27:43 could know him as their Father again, but how are they gonna
  • 27:47 know unless someone shares the message, and that’s what we’re
  • 27:52 called to do.
  • 27:53 And that’s what this is all about, to realize that this
  • 27:56 temple, the red heifer, the ashes, these are all things that
  • 28:00 men are trying to do, and the only way to resurrection power
  • 28:05 is through the one true Messiah: Jesus, Yeshua, the Christ.
