- 00:52 Joshua: This is it, the last episode of this series, and boy
- 00:57 howdy, did we save the best for last.
- 01:01 Last week, Joshua, myself, my namesake, I passed on.
- 01:06 I went up to get glory.
- 01:07 I fulfilled my journey.
- 01:09 I did everything I was called to do, but the Israelites, they
- 01:12 didn't completely finish their job.
- 01:14 No, sir, they were told to clean out all the Canaanites in the
- 01:17 land, and they didn't.
- 01:18 And in fact, they went back to their old alma mater: idolatry.
- 01:22 This caused 'em a lot of problems.
- 01:23 Well, they're about to have to face those problems, and that's
- 01:26 what we're gonna talk about now.
- 01:27 Luckily, however, they did leave the coffee of the land because
- 01:30 this stuff is fantastic.
- 01:32 It's very thick and I'm chewing the bottom stuff, but I feel
- 01:34 very energized now.
- 01:36 Caleb: Well, we have to focus on the culmination of all these
- 01:39 events, Josh, because the Israelites, after Joshua died,
- 01:44 ended up falling into sin, as you mentioned, but there would
- 01:47 be a cycle in which they would come to repentance.
- 01:50 They would cry out to God for help, and God would send
- 01:52 a deliverer.
- 01:54 The first group of deliverers were the judges and the very
- 01:56 first judge was Othniel ben Qenaz.
- 01:59 Joshua: Oh, was he related to you?
- 02:00 Caleb: He was related to me.
- 02:02 He was Caleb's nephew.
- 02:03 He married Caleb's daughter and he ruled justly, but as soon as
- 02:07 he died, the children of Israel would fall into sin again, and
- 02:10 that cycle would repeat over and over again until eventually the
- 02:13 Israelites were taken into exile, returned, diaspora.
- 02:16 It's a vicious cycle, but this is why we came here.
- 02:20 This is Samaria, ancient Samaria, part of Judea.

- 02:33 They said it wasn't safe, but it's very important to this part
- 02:35 of the story because we've paralleled Joshua and the
- 02:38 Israelites' conquest of Canaan and Satan's conquest of Canaan.
- 02:42 And so all those nations that Satan used will come to a head,

- 02:58 Caleb: 1 Kings 16:23-24: "In the thirty-first year of Asa king of
- 03:03 Judah, Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned twelve
- 03:07 years, six of them in Tirzah.
- 03:09 He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of
- 03:13 silver and built a city on the hill, calling it Samaria, after
- 03:18 Shemer, the name of the former owner of the hill.
- 03:21 Joshua: We are here in the city of Samaria, the capital of the
- 03:25 kingdom of Samaria in the Bible.
- 03:27 After Solomon dies, the kingdom is split into two.
- 03:31 You get ten kingdoms to the north, you get two to the south.
- 03:35 Those two to the south become Judea.
- 03:36 You have Samaria and Judea.
- 03:38 This is two of the most contested areas in Israel, and
- 03:41 today they have a, what's the word, a local urban
- 03:45 colloquialism, you know, like a hip slang word the kids use.
- 03:47 They call it the West Bank.
- 03:50 Caleb: That is true.
- 03:51 You know, Samaria was a wide area of land, but the capital is
- 03:55 Tel Samaria.
- 03:56 This is also called Tel Sebastia.
- 03:58 In the town of Sebastia that we're in today, it's under the
- 04:01 Palestinian authority, as you can see, the Palestinian flag
- 04:04 that's waving behind me, but this territory right here, the
- 04:09 ruins are very Romanesque.
- 04:11 That's because they're Roman ruins.
- 04:14 They were one of the last conquering nations to control
- 04:18 this area before it was destroyed and no longer is a
- 04:21 thriving city, but you can see evidence here of all of those
- 04:26 nations that Satan utilized during his conquest of Canaan to
- 04:31 try to expel the Jews from the land and break the promises
- 04:33 of Abraham, so that's why we came here.
- 04:35 We're going to see all the different layers of
- 04:36 civilization: Babylon, Persia, all that.
- 04:39 It's all here, and these are Roman.
- 04:40 So let's go and climb the tel.
- 04:43 Caleb: Revelation 17:3-5: "And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet
- 04:47 beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads
- 04:51 and ten horns.
- 04:52 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with
- 04:56 gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a
- 04:58 golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of
- 05:02 her fornication.
- 05:03 And on her forehead a name was written: Mystery, Babylon the
- 05:08 Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the abominations of
- 05:12 the earth.
- 05:14 Joshua: This, my friends, is where it's all been leading to.
- 05:18 Everything building up to this exact moment.
- 05:20 All the global devouring kingdoms, all to present this
- 05:24 one kingdom, the kingdom of Babylon.
- 05:27 Caleb: That's right, Babylon the Great before Babylon is a center
- 05:32 of worship.
- 05:33 It's a city, it's a one-world economic system and one-world
- 05:36 form of worship system.
- 05:37 The dragon that the woman sits on really represents Satan
- 05:40 himself and all the kingdoms that he's used in the past to
- 05:44 try to subjugate Canaan and take away the Jewish inheritance.
- 05:47 So we see that this dragon, seven heads and ten horns
- 05:52 represent very specific things and God doesn't want us to be
- 05:57 confused about what these representations are so he
- 06:00 actually, Yeshua himself has that message delivered to John
- 06:04 the Apostle on Patmos so we know exactly what we're looking at.
- 06:08 Caleb: Revelation 17:9-11: Here is a mind which has wisdom: The
- 06:13 seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.
- 06:16 There are also seven kings.
- 06:18 Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come.
- 06:22 And when he comes, he must continue a short time.
- 06:25 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and
- 06:29 is of the seven, and is going to perdition.
- 06:32 Caleb: Well, back to that amazing scripture.
- 06:34 So those seven heads represent seven kings or kingdoms.
- 06:38 They're interchangeable, and we know about the first five that
- 06:41 was Egypt, Assyria, then it was Babylon, Medo-Persia,
- 06:46 then Greece.
- 06:47 The sixth kingdom of Paul's day was the Roman Empire.
- 06:51 It was still around but he says this was the kingdom that is,
- 06:54 the head that is, at his time.
- 06:58 But he was writing it from his perspective.
- 07:01 The big question is who's the seventh, you know.
- 07:03 Joshua: Who is the seventh?
- 07:04 The question I've always asked.
- 07:05 Well, not really, until this teaching, but that's okay.
- 07:07 We're actually here in the Roman theater of Sebastia for that
- 07:10 very reason.
- 07:12 You see, the evidence of all the conquerings that he just
- 07:14 discussed is all right here, and that's why we're here to
- 07:17 examine that.
- 07:18 And in fact, in 720 BC, Assyria comes in, decimates them, takes
- 07:22 them captive, and sets up their administrative center here to
- 07:26 run Israelite people from here.
- 07:29 I don't know why you'd set up an administrative, like a Kinko's
- 07:31 or something, a FedEx they set up here, but this is where they
- 07:33 set it up to be able to run shop.
- 07:35 Caleb: That's right, and then when Babylon wipes out Assyria,
- 07:38 they set up shop here.
- 07:39 Then Babylon gets wiped out by the Medo-Persian Empire.
- 07:42 They set up shop here and you can see evidence of all
- 07:45 those ruins.
- 07:46 Finally, Alexander the Great comes, he wipes out the city,
- 07:48 rebuilds it, colonizes it.
- 07:50 It's all beautiful.
- 07:51 You can see evidence of that there, and of course, Rome comes
- 07:55 afterwards, but that's interesting: the seventh
- 07:57 kingdom, many people try to call the revived Roman Empire.
- 08:01 That's what they associate it with because it's of the six and
- 08:04 never does die.
- 08:06 Rome never truly died.
- 08:07 It just evolved over the centuries, you know, became the
- 08:11 Byzantine Empire.
- 08:12 You know, eventually the Ottoman Empire encompassed it.
- 08:15 But we're gonna see some interesting Roman ruins of that
- 08:19 seventh empire, that revived Roman Empire.
- 08:21 The Bible calls it Babylon the Great.
- 08:23 It's a spiritual connotation.
- 08:25 It's not Babylon itself headquartered.
- 08:27 It's just like sometimes, even in the scripture Jerusalem is
- 08:30 called Sodom or Egypt, so it's a spiritual description that it's
- 08:34 giving for that final kingdom.
- 08:35 Joshua: That's confusing to some of our GPS journeys on
- 08:38 this trip.
- 08:39 I plugged into the head of Babylon and it said it's
- 08:41 right here.
- 08:42 Oh, sorry, this is the spiritual head of Babylon.
- 08:43 It took me to the wrong place.
- 08:45 Let me put that back in.
- 08:46 Caleb: Revelation 17:12-14: "The ten horns which you saw are ten
- 08:50 kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive
- 08:54 authority for one hour as kings with the beast.
- 08:57 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and
- 09:00 authority to the beast.
- 09:03 Caleb: But remember, the angel said that the seven heads of
- 09:06 this dragon also represents a city, city on the seven hills,
- 09:10 and in the past, people have believed that it is Rome because
- 09:12 it was called the City on the Seven Hills.
- 09:14 It was the capital of the Roman Empire, but for not too long.
- 09:17 I personally believe it is Istanbul, Turkey, and I'll get
- 09:20 into more details of why I believe that is in a moment.
- 09:24 Caleb: Daniel 7:23-25: "The fourth beast shall be a fourth
- 09:29 kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other
- 09:31 kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and
- 09:35 break it in pieces.
- 09:36 The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom.
- 09:40 And another shall rise after them; he shall be different from
- 09:43 the first ones, and shall subdue three kings.
- 09:46 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High."
- 09:50 Caleb: Well, Josh, this passage is the reason why most Bible
- 09:53 scholars believe that Rome itself will be the capital of
- 09:57 this revived Roman Empire.
- 09:59 You know, Rome was only the capital for around 350 years,
- 10:04 but that kingdom of the Roman Empire, it was huge.
- 10:07 It was all encompassing: Europe, Asia, the Middle East.
- 10:11 So to think it's that one city might be a little bit of a
- 10:13 problem because eventually the Roman Empire is split in half,
- 10:16 east and west.
- 10:18 The western half dies out.
- 10:19 The eastern half continues on for hundreds of years, centuries
- 10:23 later becomes the Byzantine Empire.
- 10:27 And so this capital of this eastern portion of the Roman
- 10:31 Empire is Constantinople, also the city on the seven hills.
- 10:37 Like I mentioned, it is present-day Istanbul in Turkey.
- 10:41 Joshua: You can see evidence of the Byzantine Empire all
- 10:44 around us.
- 10:46 In fact, we're standing in this Byzantine church, cathedral,
- 10:47 whatever you wanna call it, that's built on top of
- 10:49 this crypt.
- 10:51 And in the corner over here, it's believed that this is the
- 10:54 prison where John the Baptist was held.
- 10:56 We believe that his head is buried here as well, and that
- 11:00 Herod Agrippa, who famously had him beheaded, and after he
- 11:06 watches Salome do his dance, that all took place here.
- 11:09 Caleb: That's right, it's pretty disgusting, but you can see the
- 11:13 church boundaries all throughout here.
- 11:17 This Byzantine church, that eastern leg of the Roman Empire,
- 11:21 carried on for many hundreds of years.
- 11:23 It was eventually wiped out, sort of, just at least, it came
- 11:29 into conflict with the Muslims in 637 AD.
- 11:31 They lost control over Israel proper here.
- 11:35 Saladin set up shop, you know, successor to Muhammad, and they
- 11:40 became the driving force and control over Israel for probably
- 11:44 over 400 years until the time of the Crusades would come.
- 11:48 So it was constantly interchanging hands, but still
- 11:52 the eastern Roman Empire carried on.
- 11:54 It's very important.
- 11:56 You see later on during the time period of the Christians going
- 12:00 on crusades, not all of them were very Christlike, Josh,
- 12:03 in 1099.
- 12:04 They come and they conquer Israel, Jerusalem.
- 12:07 They take this territory as their dominion.
- 12:10 They rule here and they actually hear about John the Baptist, you
- 12:14 know, head being chopped off here and they decide to build a
- 12:16 church this way to honor it.
- 12:19 Joshua: Well, this is Sebastia, this overlook you can see right
- 12:21 now today, modern day, and like you said, they actually built a
- 12:24 mosque over there as well to commemorate.
- 12:26 They believe that his body is buried there, not his head, and
- 12:30 they also believe that Elisha and Obadiah are buried there as
- 12:34 well and the Templars come in later and they build, what, the
- 12:37 second largest church, second to the Holy Sepulcher in Israel, in
- 12:41 that area right there to commemorate it as well.
- 12:44 Caleb: That's absolutely right.
- 12:45 So this place is of importance.
- 12:47 Now, what I wanna bring up is a very important scripture because
- 12:51 we're talking about all these, you know, dominating, you
- 12:53 know, empires.
- 12:55 See, eventually the Muslims under the Ayyubid Empire of
- 12:59 Saladin, they would strike back, you know, they would control
- 13:01 this territory.
- 13:03 Then the Mamluks would come, the Ottoman Empire would come.
- 13:07 All of these in Daniel is represented as the same empire.
- 13:11 It's all wrapped under that final fourth beast, and the
- 13:15 capital over all these empires through the ages was
- 13:19 Constantinople for 1700 years.
- 13:21 I mean, no other city has had that kind of length of time that
- 13:25 it was capital ruling.
- 13:26 Well, it says so in Revelation 17:18 that "And the woman [the
- 13:31 Great Whore] whom you saw is that great city which reigns
- 13:34 over the kings of the earth."
- 13:36 So you have this very extended time period that Constantinople
- 13:40 is part of the eastern Roman Empire capital.
- 13:44 And all of this leads up to the final rule of Babylon the Great,
- 13:48 the Beast, but we got to go back to that prophecy in Daniel
- 13:53 with--it's actually a dream that Nebuchadnezzar received of
- 13:56 the statue to learn more about it.
- 13:57 We talked about it last week, but we want to go into more
- 13:59 details now.
- 14:01 Joshua: Let's do it.
- 14:02 Caleb: Daniel 2:40-42: "And the fourth king shall be as strong
- 14:06 as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters
- 14:10 everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break
- 14:14 in pieces and crush all others.
- 14:16 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter's clay
- 14:19 and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the
- 14:22 strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron
- 14:25 mixed with ceramic clay.
- 14:27 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of
- 14:30 clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and
- 14:32 partly fragile."
- 14:34 Caleb: Now God gave Nebuchadnezzar a dream of this
- 14:37 magnificent statue where the head of gold represented the
- 14:40 Babylonian Empire and the legs of iron represented the
- 14:45 Roman Empire.
- 14:46 All these different alloys were very important.
- 14:48 Well, the feet was iron mixed with clay.
- 14:51 It wasn't as strong or powerful.
- 14:53 There were weaker nations that encompassed in it.
- 14:55 This as the Roman Empire continued throughout the ages
- 14:58 and, of course, always subjugating Israel, but the toes
- 15:01 is what's so important.
- 15:02 Ten toes representing those ten kings of the last Babylon, the
- 15:06 great kingdom, and they're very fragile, iron mixed with clay.
- 15:09 It means something very important, Josh.
- 15:11 Joshua: You know, everybody says that God holds out on them and
- 15:13 doesn't tell them things that they need to know, but God does.
- 15:15 In fact, God wants Satan to know what his enemy looks like, so he
- 15:18 did him a favor.
- 15:20 He visits that dirty antichrist Nebuchadnezzar and gives him a
- 15:24 vision of the end of time.
- 15:25 Here Nebuchadnezzar gets to see it.
- 15:28 That way the end actual Antichrist knows what he's going
- 15:31 to face, but Satan, like a lot of people, don't understand
- 15:34 Bible prophecy and timing.
- 15:36 So throughout the ages he's got--
- 15:38 trying to say, "Oh, it's gonna be this guy.
- 15:39 Oh, it's gonna be this guy," and we can see that because he's
- 15:41 about to double down on an antichrist by the name of
- 15:44 Caesar Augustus.
- 15:46 In fact, I think I see the Augustorium, Augustarama.
- 15:49 Caleb: Oh yeah, it's right up here.
- 15:51 Joshua: There it is, Augustus, where he was in Charlie and
- 15:54 Chocolate Factory.
- 15:55 Caleb: Matthew 2:1-3: "After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in
- 15:59 Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came
- 16:03 to Jerusalem and asked, 'Where is the one who has been born
- 16:07 king of the Jews?
- 16:08 We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.'
- 16:12 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed."
- 16:17 Caleb: Now, Satan doesn't understand God's
- 16:18 prophetic timing.
- 16:20 He doesn't know which man is going to be the beast or
- 16:23 the Antichrist.
- 16:24 So throughout the ages, he's always picked a man and failed
- 16:28 at picking the right one because it wasn't God's prophetic
- 16:30 timing, but he still has multiple antichrists in any time
- 16:34 period waiting in the wings to take over.
- 16:37 Now, this city, Samaria, was rebuilt by Herod the Great to be
- 16:42 a grand Roman city to honor the Roman Empire who allowed him to
- 16:46 stay in power.
- 16:47 You see, his father was friends with Julius Caesar, yes, the
- 16:50 same Julius Caesar that was assassinated by Brutus and
- 16:53 his buddies.
- 16:55 So after that happened, he knew that his rule or his empire was
- 16:58 in threat.
- 17:00 So Herod the Great traveled all the way to Rome to
- 17:02 try to kiss butt with the new Caesar, Caesar Augustus,
- 17:05 and guess what, it worked.
- 17:07 The Roman Senate gave Herod the Great the label, King of
- 17:11 the Jews.
- 17:13 Joshua: Hm, it's very fancy.
- 17:14 Well, you know, Satan had a big plan in mind, and that is to
- 17:18 stop the Jewish line of kings to prevent the Messiah from being
- 17:21 born, all right?
- 17:22 So here you have King Herod, and he was a little insecure because
- 17:26 he was actually a half breed Edomite, so he was not from
- 17:29 David's royal line of Judah, so he had no ability to actually
- 17:32 take over that lineage, and he knew this.
- 17:34 But this is why when he finds out about Yeshua, he actually
- 17:37 believes that this is the kid who's going to be the one,
- 17:41 because I know it's not me, and that's why he tried to have him
- 17:43 killed due to his insecurity and cause he's a total jerk.
- 17:47 Caleb: That's pretty bad.
- 17:49 Joshua: I'm just saying.
- 17:50 Caleb: 1 Kings 22:39: "As for the other events of Ahab's
- 17:54 reign, including all he did, the palace he built and adorned with
- 17:57 ivory, and the cities he fortified, are they not written
- 18:01 in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?"
- 18:04 Caleb: So here, we're at the top of the Tel of Sebaste
- 18:09 or Samaria.
- 18:10 There's so many different layers of palaces here at this
- 18:13 administrative complex.
- 18:15 Ahab's palace was discovered here: 12,000 ivory bones--ivory
- 18:21 pieces that he used to decorate his palace as described in
- 18:24 the Bible, even--
- 18:26 Joshua: Can I see?
- 18:27 Caleb: They took all the ivory.
- 18:28 It's somewhere in the museum, I think.
- 18:30 Joshua: Well, where's all the stuff?
- 18:31 Caleb: Well, it's under--some of the stuff they buried over
- 18:33 again to protect, after they documented all the remains they
- 18:38 found here.
- 18:39 But this shows that the current rooms that you see were from
- 18:43 Herod the Great.
- 18:44 He was a master builder.
- 18:46 And throughout Israel you can see that he not only changed the
- 18:48 names of cities to Roman names but he imprinted his handiwork
- 18:52 everywhere, even on the Temple Mount.
- 18:53 You see his handiwork, Herodium, Masada, Caesarea Maritima, and--
- 18:59 but one of the important things he did was he built temples to
- 19:02 honor Caesar Augustus, to deify him, to have people worship him.
- 19:08 We visited two of those temples already, Josh.
- 19:11 One was Horvat Omrit,
- 19:12 near Caesarea Philippi, and the other was at Caesarea Maritima.
- 19:16 The third one, the Augustine, which you just saw back there at
- 19:19 the steps, the whole temple was destroyed, just steps leading up
- 19:22 to it now, so we got it.
- 19:24 We found all three. That's pretty cool.
- 19:25 Joshua: By Herod the Great building this temple, what he
- 19:26 was really saying to all the subjects of the land was Caesar
- 19:30 Augustus is part divine.
- 19:31 You need to worship him.
- 19:32 What Satan was doing with this was taking Herod the Great and
- 19:37 basically making him the Jewish false prophet who was pointing
- 19:40 everybody to the Roman god, right, the beast,
- 19:46 Caesar Augustus.
- 19:47 Caleb: That's--see, Satan tried and failed.
- 19:50 Obviously he picked the wrong people.
- 19:51 Joshua: It's always the insecure ones.
- 19:52 He's always getting them right there.
- 19:54 Caleb: Revelation 13:11-13: "Then I saw a second beast [the
- 19:58 False Prophet], coming out of the earth.
- 20:01 It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon.
- 20:04 It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its
- 20:07 behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the
- 20:10 first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.
- 20:14 Joshua: Once again, Satan missed his timing as he always does.
- 20:18 He actually even missed killing the real Messiah, which
- 20:20 is Yeshua.
- 20:21 Boop! Take that one.
- 20:23 Here's the facts.
- 20:24 Herod died. Caesar Augustus died.
- 20:27 And in fact, Caesar Augustus's last words were reported to be,
- 20:30 "I found Rome of clay; I leave it to you of marble."
- 20:34 Hm, clay, that sounds familiar.
- 20:37 Caleb: Oh, back to the toes and the--oh, very interesting,
- 20:41 very deep.
- 20:42 Well, we've been tracing this rabbit trail throughout the ages
- 20:45 of Satan's master plan to conquer Canaan, but he
- 20:48 knows scripture.
- 20:50 He knows it better than most Christians, and he knows that
- 20:52 eventually Yeshua will rule and reign from Jerusalem, so he
- 20:55 knows that he has to conquer and subjugate Jerusalem throughout
- 20:58 the ages so that he can stop the prophetic timing, which of
- 21:02 course, he can't.
- 21:03 So let's go to Jerusalem to tell the rest of his final doom
- 21:06 and destruction.
- 21:07 Joshua: Okay, we're going back to--we've just--we jump around
- 21:10 a lot, brother, I'm just gonna say.
- 21:13 Caleb: Zechariah 12:2-3: "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a
- 21:16 cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they
- 21:19 lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.
- 21:22 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a
- 21:24 very heavy stone for all peoples; all who heave it away
- 21:28 will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth
- 21:31 are gathered against it."
- 21:33 Joshua: Oh, come on, you had to know it was going to end in
- 21:35 Israel, here in Jerusalem.
- 21:38 The whole world is green with envy because Jerusalem is the
- 21:41 place where it all goes down.
- 21:43 Caleb: But even today, the battle for Jerusalem continues
- 21:46 because everyone still wants a piece of this real estate.
- 21:50 Caleb: Luke 21:20-22: "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by
- 21:54 armies, then know that its desolation is near.
- 21:57 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those
- 22:00 who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who
- 22:03 are in the country enter her.
- 22:04 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which
- 22:08 are written may be fulfilled.
- 22:10 Joshua: Here are the words of Yeshua that he spoke to his
- 22:12 disciples on the Mount of Olives.
- 22:13 It's the very mount that we're sitting on right now.
- 22:15 It doesn't taste or smell like olives, but it's an important
- 22:18 mount nonetheless.
- 22:19 This is where Yeshua ascended into heaven.
- 22:22 This is where he will return on his Second Coming, but he cannot
- 22:25 return yet until a very tragic event happens.
- 22:28 Caleb: That's right, 3.5 years into the Tribulation, long after
- 22:33 we're gone in the Rapture, us believers in Yeshua, that is,
- 22:36 the beast, having been killed, assassinated, whatever it is, a
- 22:39 mortal head wound, is resurrected, and he gathers his
- 22:43 armies around Jerusalem.
- 22:44 He defeats the Jews, and he marches up onto that temple
- 22:48 mount you can see behind me.
- 22:50 The third temple will be standing up there somewhere.
- 22:52 We don't know exactly where at this moment.
- 22:55 He will march into the holy place, into the Holy of Holies,
- 22:58 sit upon the mercy seat and declares himself to be God.
- 23:01 From that point on for the next 3.5 years, he will rule
- 23:04 from Jerusalem.
- 23:05 This will be his new capital.
- 23:06 Istanbul is long gone.
- 23:08 He will rule in treachery and violence, murder, trying to wipe
- 23:12 out the Jewish people.
- 23:14 Caleb: Luke 21:24: "And they [the Israelites]
- 23:17 will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive
- 23:20 into all nations.
- 23:21 And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the time of
- 23:25 the Gentiles are fulfilled."
- 23:27 Caleb: What a terrible tragedy that will befall the
- 23:30 Jewish people.
- 23:31 This is when the beast tries to hunt them down to the ends of
- 23:33 the earth and wipe them out.
- 23:35 Now, thankfully, two prophets show up that witness that Yeshua
- 23:38 is the Messiah.
- 23:40 A large portion of those Jews believe, and they follow those
- 23:42 two witnesses to a place of safety in the desert called
- 23:45 Baazra or Petra as we know it today.
- 23:48 But unfortunately, during this last 3.5-year period, scripture
- 23:52 says in Zechariah 13:8-9 that two-thirds of the Jews on the
- 23:57 planet are massacred and only one-third will survive to
- 24:01 finally look upon Yeshua when he returns.
- 24:02 Joshua: This is why we continually tell you how
- 24:04 imperative it is that we witness to the Jewish people, that we
- 24:08 explain to them who the Messiah really is.
- 24:10 We can't change the fact that those numbers, those
- 24:12 percentages, two-thirds and one-third, have been written
- 24:15 down in history, but we can change the starting number.
- 24:18 We can make one-third a much bigger number of people by
- 24:23 reaching out and showing them the love of Yeshua.
- 24:25 Caleb: But back to the story, this is not the final battle
- 24:29 of Jerusalem.
- 24:30 It is at the very end of the 7-year Tribulation, that's
- 24:33 Armageddon, as most people call it.
- 24:35 That's when all the armies of the earth gather to take a piece
- 24:38 of Jerusalem.
- 24:39 Everyone wants to sit upon the throne.
- 24:41 In fact, the beast has three of his kings rebel against him.
- 24:45 Out of the ten, seven come to his defense, and they all battle
- 24:48 out around here and in the plains of Megiddo to see who
- 24:51 will be the top dog.
- 24:53 Joshua: A-woo, a-woo, a-woo!
- 24:56 Is that the noise they're gonna make?
- 24:57 Caleb: Exactly. Joshua: All right.
- 25:00 Caleb: Zechariah 14:2: "For I will gather all the nations to
- 25:04 battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses
- 25:08 rifled, And the women ravished.
- 25:11 Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of
- 25:14 the people shall not be cut off from the city."
- 25:17 Caleb: Don't lose hope because the Jews will have lost hope at
- 25:21 this moment when they're surrounded by their enemies and
- 25:23 being annihilated.
- 25:24 But that's when the heavens part and Yeshua shows up with his
- 25:29 armies on white horses.
- 25:30 He's known as Yahweh Sabaoth, the Lord of the Armies.
- 25:34 It's the same Yahweh Sabaoth, the Lord of the Armies, that met
- 25:36 Yehoshua, Joshua, on the plains of Jericho.
- 25:39 He comes to defend his people and fight at the battle
- 25:42 of Jerusalem.
- 25:43 This is how Zechariah describes it.
- 25:45 In verse--in 14, verses 3 and 4: "Then the Lord will go forth
- 25:49 And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day
- 25:51 of battle.
- 25:53 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
- 25:55 Which faces Jerusalem on the east."
- 25:57 This is the conclusion of the final battle for Jerusalem when
- 26:01 the true king of Jerusalem shows up and wipes out Satan's forces,
- 26:05 and then he will rule and reign from here for 1000 years.
- 26:09 But this is that moment prophesied when his people, the
- 26:12 Jewish people, finally look upon him whom they have pierced, and
- 26:15 they mourn.
- 26:16 They mourn because they realize they wasted so much time.
- 26:19 They could have believed in him all this time, that Yeshua,
- 26:22 Hamashiach, Jesus, is the Messiah.
- 26:25 And this is what the conquest of Canaan is all about, guys.
- 26:29 It was always gifted to Yehoshua, Joshua.
- 26:32 The first Yehoshua or Yeshua Joshua went and conquered Canaan
- 26:37 for the Israelites all the way back 3500 years ago, and the
- 26:41 last Yeshua will obtain his rightful inheritance that was
- 26:46 gifted to him by the Father, so that he can fulfill his
- 26:49 prophetic word and rule on behalf of his people and even
- 26:53 the Gentiles.
- 26:55 Joshua: I'm literally standing on the spot, the last place on
- 26:57 earth where Yeshua was after he died, was killed for our sins.
- 27:02 He lived the perfect life, the only human being to fulfill
- 27:05 the law.
- 27:07 And he died and was sacrificed and he rose again.
- 27:09 Today if you haven't chosen him as your Messiah, if you haven't
- 27:12 chosen Yeshua as your Lord and Savior, he's the one you've been
- 27:15 looking for.
- 27:17 He's the one who wants to fulfill your life.
- 27:19 The choice is free and the choice is yours.
- 27:22 You simply say, "Dear heavenly Father, I repent for my sins.
- 27:28 I ask you to wash me clean.
- 27:29 I believe that you sent your Son Yeshua to die for me, that he
- 27:32 rose again on the third day and that he sits next to you,
- 27:34 preparing a place in heaven.
- 27:36 And I commit to serving him all of my life."
- 27:38 If you prayed that simple prayer right now, boom, you're there.
- 27:42 But the responsibility is now on your shoulders to share that
- 27:44 with everyone else.
- 27:45 The time is short.
- 27:48 Are we going to bring every single brother and sister that's
- 27:51 out there to the knowledge of him, so that instead of
- 27:55 eternally separated, we're eternally joined together?
- 27:57 Caleb: And as you go, don't forget to pray Psalm 122:6,
- 28:01 "Sha'alu shalom Yerushalayim."
- 28:03 Joshua: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
