Shalom, Dear Friend,

We stand at the door of another year of opportunity. We’ve been at this door before… but it’s never opened into 1993!

As always, the new opportunities and experiences that await us are beyond our understanding. It’s important to anticipate and plan for the new year. But it’s equally important to look back and recognize how we’ve been used by God to impact the lives of loved ones, friends and others in 1992!

Have you ever asked for the time and been given this humorous response: “It’s later than it’s ever been before.” As trite as this response is — it’s true. And there’s still so much to do!

Most of us would agree that this earthly, 12 month period of time we call a “year” seems to be getting shorter. Time seems to pass more rapidly when we’re busy or happy with what we’re doing. The real accelerator, however, is the aging process itself. Remember back in grade school when it seemed to take hours for the “big hand’’ on the schoolroom clock to move those 15 minutes… from 11:45 to 12:00 noon? Have you noticed how fast it goes by today?

The Psalmist felt that time was going by at breakneck speed when he wrote:

“Lord, make me to know my end,
and what is the extent of my days;
Let me know how transient I am.
Behold, Thou hast made my days as
handbreadths, and my lifetime as nothing;
…and now, Lord, for what do I wait?
MY hope is in thee!” (Psalm 39)

In this Psalm, the writer questioned spending a life gaining riches and not knowing who will benefit from them when he’s gone. Good question isn’t it? This is why we must invest our life and resources in what is eternal. We must place our hope in God and live our life as an instrument of His love and grace to others. This is the Christian stewardship of life. Scripture clearly teaches:

God is eternal,
Life here is brief, and
God has a vital assignment for us!

It’s time for you to determine how that assignment translates into your responsibilities for 1993 — and any other years God gives to you! Never before has the world been so ready for the message of Jesus Christ — Messiah Yeshua. Never before has there been such a spiritual need in our own nation.

What time is it? It’s later than it’s ever been before! And there’s still so much that needs to be done!

Did you read my son’s article in the December newsletter? Mark wrote an excellent summary of what Zola Levitt Ministries accomplished for the glory of God in 1992. But we couldn’t have mailed the first letter — duplicated the first tape — or purchased the first half-hour of airtime without the financial resources provided by friends like you. Your faithful, financial support allowed our efficient staff of 12 people (working in rented office space) to produce a monthly newsletter and a monthly ministry letter, respond to 75,000 letters from viewers, ship 48,000 orders, handle thousands of telephone calls and provide vital administrative support for our Holy Land tours!

Our television production team produced four new major television series in 1992 involving 35 episodes! We trust you were able to view them and learn more about God’s plan for Israel. BELIEVERS was an eight-program series offering testimonies from the Jews in Israel who have come to know Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) as Lord. In UNTO THE GENTILES, our cameras followed the footsteps of Paul where he told the Gentiles of the Jewish Messiah. The SECRETS OF THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS aired for eight weeks last spring and presented a historical account of the manuscripts and the remarkable new revelations about them. ISRAEL: BY DIVINE RIGHT is our current 10-program series which teaches Israel’s God given right to its land and shows the current preparations for the new Temple. These four TV series are on VHS video and available for purchase.

ZOLA LEVITT PRESENTS reached hundreds of thousands of people in 1992! Many have told us they understand God’s plan for Israel more clearly because of our television programs. Others said they have rededicated their lives or accepted Jesus Christ as Savior.

This ministry operates with no reserve funds other than assets for a month’s operating expenses. It’s always a step of faith to commit to anything we do. How then could we have done all this… including surviving on national television and meeting the enormous cost of airtime? Folks like you made it possible!

As 1992 passes, we still have a financial need to cover one of our completed projects. If you plan to give a significant end-of-the-year gift, be sure it’s postmarked December 31, or prior. A gift given after this tax cut-off date is just as important to us. Any contribution will help move us into the exciting opportunities and projects that await in 1993. I like what my son said, “In a nutshell, this ministry has few treasures on earth. But what we’re doing on His behalf, and your behalf, is stowing away awesome treasures in the Kingdom to come” (Matt. 6:21). Scripture teaches: God is eternal, life here is brief, and God has a vital assignment for you… and our hope must always be in Him!
