  • 00:05 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel
  • 00:09 is that they might be saved,
  • 00:12 for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
  • 00:15 for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.
  • 00:29 Shalom, Haverim Friends from the beautiful City of Jerusalem.
  • 00:33 I am David Hart.
  • 00:34 This is my wife Kirsten Hart,
  • 00:36 and we are excited about the plans
  • 00:38 that we have for 2018.
  • 00:41 Some exciting things in store for you.
  • 00:43 Zola Levitt was the pioneer, and
  • 00:45 he started almost 40 years ago.
  • 00:48 We promise you that we're going to continue
  • 00:51 great Messianic teaching.
  • 00:54 Next week on Zola Levitt Presents
  • 00:57 we will continue our encore series,
  • 00:59 "Esther, for Such a Time as This", with Dr. Jeffery Seif.
  • 01:03 Now, let's go take a look.
  • 02:07 The people of Israel live,
  • 02:10 not to say there are not forces bent
  • 02:12 on trying to see that we don't,
  • 02:14 but we do.
  • 02:16 And the reason why we live is cause God lives.
  • 02:18 That's the reason why we sing a song,
  • 02:20 Jews that is, from here in Israel,
  • 02:22 and all over the world,
  • 02:24 Am Yisrael Chai "The People of Israel Live"
  • 02:28 Well the story of the book of Esther
  • 02:30 takes place against the backdrop of someone
  • 02:33 endeavoring to see that we don't live.
  • 02:35 You can recall there's Haman,
  • 02:38 something of a wicked sort
  • 02:40 bent on destroying the Jewish people.
  • 02:43 He hated Mordecai,
  • 02:45 and not just Mordecai,
  • 02:47 but by extension, all Jews everywhere,
  • 02:51 and he utilized his influence to
  • 02:54 enact a scheme to annihilate the Jews,
  • 02:59 and so dispatched from the capital of Shushan
  • 03:02 were couriers that took messages
  • 03:04 all over this vast Media Persian Empire,
  • 03:09 extending from India on the one hand
  • 03:11 all the way to Ethiopia on the other.
  • 03:15 Jews were scattered about but it was decreed into law,
  • 03:19 that a day would be set aside to destroy the Jewish people.
  • 03:25 Seems however that difficulties in the world aside,
  • 03:28 God always has His own.
  • 03:31 In the book of Esther we're told there was a fellow, Mordecai,
  • 03:35 who pushed his charge forward.
  • 03:38 Her name was Hadassah , in Hebrew,
  • 03:40 who not just because of her beauty,
  • 03:43 but because of an inner beauty,
  • 03:45 she had something a little extra,
  • 03:46 and she caught the attention of a King named Xeres.
  • 03:51 The net result is that she becomes Queen,
  • 03:53 and then when in the empire Haman enacts
  • 03:57 his scheme to destroy the Jews,
  • 04:00 she's well placed to utilize her influence
  • 04:03 to do something about it.
  • 04:06 Oh, I'm reminded of when Mordecai petitions her,
  • 04:09 "Please dear, you have to",
  • 04:11 and she says, "I can't, I can't",
  • 04:13 but then, she's reminded that she had come into the kingdom
  • 04:17 for such a time as this.

  • 07:24 of this series, "Watch Therefore"
  • 07:29 Messiah, Jesus is speaking in Matthew 24.
  • 07:33 He's answering the questions of his disciples,
  • 07:36 What will be the sign of your coming in the end of the age,

  • 07:50 with the birth pains leading up to the birth of Israel,
  • 07:53 and the return of the Messiah, Jesus,
  • 07:55 but then there's a shift,
  • 07:57 there's a shift in Matthew 24 beginning in verse 7,
  • 08:01 "For nation will rise up against nation".
  • 08:03 You know really in Greek that says "ethnos",
  • 08:06 "ethnic" group will rise up against ethnic group,
  • 08:09 and kingdom against kingdom.
  • 08:11 And there will be famines, pestilences,
  • 08:13 and earthquakes in various places.
  • 08:15 All these are the beginning of birth pangs.
  • 08:18 Our Messiah Yeshua tells us in Matthew Chapter 24 that
  • 08:23 as it was in the days of Noah,
  • 08:26 so will it be with the coming of the Son of Man.
  • 08:32 There are characteristics in Noah's day that can help us understand
  • 08:38 the generation that will see the coming of the Son of Man.
  • 08:42 As this generation's characteristics will work in concert with
  • 08:46 the birth pains and also the fig tree, Israel, blossoming.

  • 08:57 You may even hear the sounds of construction.
  • 09:00 Everywhere you go in Israel there's building and expansion.
  • 09:03 That's because we're the fig tree generation.
  • 09:05 And I spoke a little while about the
  • 09:07 generation being a hundred years.
  • 09:09 We find that out from the father of our faith, Father Abraham
  • 09:13 in Genesis, chapter 15.
  • 09:15 And in Genesis 15 as we understand
  • 09:18 that this is the fig tree generation
  • 09:22 we know that we need to be ready,
  • 09:24 because Messiah Yeshua told us,
  • 09:26 this generation will not pass away til all these things take place.
  • 09:30 What "all things"?
  • 09:33 All the trouble that is coming in the "Great Tribulation",
  • 09:36 and the coming of Messiah Yeshua to sit on the throne of David.
  • 09:40 The Messianic Age,

  • 10:11 I get this question, brother Perkins,
  • 10:12 how do you know that that Bible is the correct book?
  • 10:16 What about the Quran?
  • 10:17 What about the Book of Mormon?
  • 10:19 How do you know that Bible is the correct one?
  • 10:21 The way we know that is because of the prophetic Word.
  • 10:24 We have a Bible that's been written centuries old,
  • 10:28 but it's like reading a current day newspaper.
  • 10:31 You know, this proves to me the validity of this book,
  • 10:34 This Word of God is true.
  • 10:36 And again, as we see those indicators we know that it's true.
  • 10:39 We've got an uphill battle because we
  • 10:41 live in a sound bite, Tweeting culture,

  • 11:54 And what does he then do?
  • 11:56 He sits upon His glorious throne,

  • 13:01 What an exciting event it will be.

  • 13:18 the 2 Olive Branches coming together,
  • 13:21 the Jew and the Gentile working in unison.
  • 13:25 Now, let's hear an excerpt.
  • 13:27 Here's Eitan Shishkoff.
  • 13:39 Olive oil was an essential commodity in biblical Israel,
  • 13:43 and along with its many commercial uses
  • 13:47 it was also, of course you know, as people literate in the Bible,
  • 13:51 it was used as the substance to anoint
  • 13:54 prophets and priests and kings.
  • 13:57 But among those it was the Priesthood
  • 14:00 that received really the most attention
  • 14:02 in the early books of the Bible.
  • 14:04 I want to read to you from the book of Exodus
  • 14:06 something that speaks of to me, of the heart
  • 14:09 of what it means to be a Priest.
  • 14:11 Now, we have to separate,
  • 14:12 we're talking now about the Hebrew Priests in Israel,
  • 14:16 not modern Priests of various Christian denominations.
  • 14:29 So this was that heavy breastplate
  • 14:31 with the 12 stones that represented the Tribes of Israel.
  • 14:47 This is really the meaning of intercession,
  • 14:49 is we take the need of other people,
  • 14:51 and we bring it before the Lord
  • 14:53 in Priestly intercession.
  • 14:55 Welcome to Mount Moriah.
  • 14:57 Welcome to Mount Zion.
  • 14:58 Welcome to the very closest wall we can get to
  • 15:00 to where the Temple stood.
  • 15:01 Jews and Gentiles from all nations are here,
  • 15:04 children, adults,
  • 15:05 they're putting their prayers on those papers,
  • 15:07 and they're putting them on that wall
  • 15:09 because they believe that God will hear their prayer and answer it.
  • 15:11 You know, it says in I Peter, Chapter 2,
  • 15:14 it says, I lay in Zion the Cornerstone,
  • 15:16 and it goes on,
  • 15:17 that Cornerstone that was rejected by the builders
  • 15:19 has become the chief Cornerstone.
  • 15:21 And we're seeing people from Finland,
  • 15:23 people from Denmark,
  • 15:24 from U.S. Canada,
  • 15:25 everywhere, praying here because why?
  • 15:28 God placed His Name here.
  • 15:30 There's very good teaching in the New Testament
  • 15:32 as to why Christians, Gentiles who
  • 15:35 accepted Jesus as the Messiah,
  • 15:37 how they should relate to the Jewish people
  • 15:39 and the nation of Israel.
  • 15:41 First of all, they shouldn't be ignorant of the mystery,
  • 15:42 they shouldn't be arrogant towards them,
  • 15:44 they shouldn't think that they were removed from the tree so that
  • 15:47 Christians could replace them,
  • 15:48 or something like that.
  • 15:50 Romans 11 is very clear
  • 15:51 and it brings us to a place of mercy,
  • 15:53 that it's as if God has been waiting
  • 15:55 to see the fruit of the Gospel in the Gentiles,
  • 15:58 which is understanding that Israel has a gift
  • 16:01 and calling that can never be revoked
  • 16:03 which will result in life from the dead for the world.
  • 16:05 There's an amazing chapter in the Old Testament
  • 16:07 that gives us a very similar picture
  • 16:09 and that's in Isaiah 49.
  • 16:10 Christians understand Isaiah 49 is speaking
  • 16:13 about the Gospel going to the nations,
  • 16:15 and you get to verse 12
  • 16:17 and it says,
  • 16:21 Then Zion comes back into the picture and says,
  • 16:28 and then he goes on
  • 16:29 as if he's proving to Israel,
  • 16:31 establishing the case about his love for Israel that
  • 16:34 can never be forgotten,
  • 16:36 and how he will prove that to them,
  • 16:37 and how he says later on,
  • 16:38 I will raise my hand to the Gentiles...
  • 16:56 That is the promise there,
  • 16:58 and what is the call to the Gentiles there?
  • 16:59 It's a love that is unusual.
  • 17:01 My name is Estera Wieja
  • 17:03 and I come from Poland.
  • 17:05 Already when I was living in Poland
  • 17:07 I was studying the Scriptures,
  • 17:09 and as I was getting deeper into God's Word
  • 17:12 I started discovering not only God's love
  • 17:16 for the Jewish people,
  • 17:17 but also the holidays that Jews celebrate,
  • 17:19 and as I was reading the Bible I realize
  • 17:22 that God calls those holidays "His Feasts",
  • 17:25 and so we started studying more and more
  • 17:28 in our church and in our Bible Study,
  • 17:30 and somewhere in the process of that
  • 17:33 I felt like the Holy Spirit was telling me,
  • 17:35 "Now I want you to get to know my people.
  • 17:37 And so that was a clear message to me
  • 17:40 that I need to come to Israel,
  • 17:42 and get to know the Jewish people here.
  • 17:45 There's something that's happening in our generation
  • 17:47 that hasn't happened before,
  • 17:50 and that something is the completion of God's plan.
  • 17:54 Let me explain.
  • 17:56 It's only in this generation that there
  • 17:58 have been thousands of Jewish people
  • 18:00 who've come to faith in Jesus, as Jews.
  • 18:04 Really until this generation,
  • 18:06 if a Jewish person wanted to believe in Jesus, that was fine,
  • 18:09 but he had to convert to Christianity.
  • 18:11 Now, what's really amazing an ironic is
  • 18:13 that in the 1st Century the question was exactly the reverse.
  • 18:16 I mean, these guys back in the book of Acts,
  • 18:19 they said, well we're not sure,
  • 18:21 can the Gentiles actually be saved
  • 18:22 without converting to Judaism?
  • 18:24 They decided, yes.
  • 18:26 But in the 21st Century for many,
  • 18:29 the question is exactly the reverse,
  • 18:31 Can a Jewish person be saved and come to a knowledge of God
  • 18:35 without converting to Christianity?
  • 18:37 Of course, I think my viewers know
  • 18:40 that it all began in Israel,
  • 18:42 but it's also going to end in Israel.
  • 18:45 Yet, no one has been left out of God's story
  • 18:48 as we've been speaking about in the previous weeks.
  • 18:52 What I want to emphasize, right now as we conclude,
  • 18:56 is that our friendship in the Lord is something
  • 18:59 that causes a mutual humility,
  • 19:02 a mutual respect,
  • 19:03 a mutual appreciation,
  • 19:06 and by that, we demonstrate to the world that
  • 19:09 Jesus really is the Messiah

  • 22:22 looking at the Eastern Wall and the Eastern Gate,
  • 22:25 and the Temple Mount, where the Temple
  • 22:27 once stood and will stand again.
  • 22:30 I want to look a little bit more at the "remez", at the "hint"
  • 22:33 behind Isaiah's words in Isaiah 11,
  • 22:37 but foundationally what the Prophet is speaking about
  • 22:42 is bringing the "Shoot of Jesse", the "Shoot of Yishai ",
  • 22:47 here's some shoots right here coming up from this olive tree,
  • 22:50 reviving the kingdom of David.
  • 22:54 But beyond that, He's speaking prophetically
  • 22:58 about the coming of the Messiah.
  • 22:59 King David has come and gone.
  • 23:02 Now, we're talking about one of his descendants,
  • 23:05 who will be the Messianic hope of Israel,
  • 23:08 and the Deliverer ultimately of all the nations of the earth.
  • 23:13 Continuing on from the steps which are behind me,
  • 23:16 the very steps that Yeshua walked as
  • 23:19 he was being brought to trial at Caiaphas' house.
  • 23:22 We're looking at Isaiah 53,
  • 23:25 having discussed Isaiah's prophetic word
  • 23:28 about the Messiah's death,
  • 23:30 about His suffering,
  • 23:32 and now, about His Resurrection.
  • 23:35 Look, Isaiah 53 was written
  • 23:38 700 years before Yeshua was even born.
  • 23:41 That's what makes these words so profound and so prophetic.
  • 23:45 In Isaiah Chapter 40, verse 5, we read...
  • 23:54 This "Glory", this "Glory of the Lord being revealed",
  • 23:57 is something that has been hidden.
  • 23:59 In fact, this Hebrew word "revealed" is also found in
  • 24:02 Deuteronomy, Chapter 29, verse 29
  • 24:05 where it says...
  • 24:13 I believe Isaiah is prophetic here
  • 24:18 even though he may not know who he's speaking about,
  • 24:21 which is verified in the New Testament,
  • 24:24 but is being prophetic in terms of speaking
  • 24:27 about the "Son of Man", the "Son of God",
  • 24:28 the "Messiah" - "Yeshua".
  • 24:31 The Glory of the Lord will appear,
  • 24:32 as we see in John, Chapter 1, Verse 14
  • 24:35 when the Son of Man took on flesh,
  • 24:39 the Word of God took on flesh,
  • 24:42 and the Glory of the Lord was revealed to everyone.
