Dr. Mitch Glaser
Dr. Mitch Glaser grew up in a nominally Orthodox Jewish family in New York City but became disconnected from Judaism after his Bar Mitzvah during the social and cultural changes of the 1960s. After moving to California in 1970 and exploring Eastern religions, he came to believe that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah through reading the New Testament and studying Messianic prophecies in the Hebrew Scriptures. Soon afterward, he began serving with Chosen People Ministries, later worked with Jews for Jesus and Ariel Ministries, and has served as president of Chosen People Ministries since 1997.
Dr. Glaser holds a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology and a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has written and edited numerous books on Messianic Judaism and biblical studies and has taught at several evangelical institutions. His wife, Zhava, is a Jewish native of Argentina with advanced degrees in Judaic Studies, Intercultural Studies, and Jewish History. Together, they teach at the Charles Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies and have two daughters.
