Highlighting: OFF ON

Myles & Katharine Weiss

Shalom and blessings, Friend.

As summer draws near, we focus on the only calendar with divine meaning: the Hebraic calendar as set by the God of Abraham. The Spring Feasts begin a cycle of Moedim (Appointments) that, in Temple times, were meetings between God and Israel. For Believers, the Lord’s mandated Feasts elegantly illustrate the person and work of Messiah.

The days you and I live in constitute a “crossover” season as the Church Age winds down and we look—and listen!—for the trumpet of God to announce the next coming of Yeshua.

This ministry’s mandate includes preaching the Good News and awakening the international Church to her historical relationship to Israel. We do this by disseminating the truth about Israel to combat the lies of the modern media: in our Levitt Letter news magazine, through this monthly newsletter, on our weekly Zola Levitt Presents television programs, at www.levitt.com, and through Holy Land study tours.

I love Zola’s straightforward motto: “A trip to Israel is worth more than ten years of Sunday school.” Perhaps the most significant way to align our end-times doctrine and internalize God’s Word comes from visiting the Land of Covenant. Happily, we are gathering momentum for our 2014 Fall Tour. Katharine and I are particularly excited that a strong contingent of our own local congregation will join us. As always, our excellent Messianic guides stand ready as we fine-tune the tour to include some special touches to enrich the already deep experience.

With Feast season upon us, we see one expression of God wind down as another ramps up for His divine purpose. The Feasts mark times of communion with God and transformation of His people.

Pentecost (June 8 this year) marks the beginning of the Church Age. But we experience a double-portion blessing when we add the Hebraic revelation of Scripture to our Christian faith. Entering the covenant life that extends back to Abraham bestows a richness to our spiritual life that grows exponentially on a pilgrimage to Israel. Our Fall Tour offers four options:

Israel — $3,988:Oct. 19–28
Israel/Petra — $4,988:Oct. 19–31
Greece/Israel — $6,488:Oct. 13–28
Greece/Israel/Petra — $7,488:Oct. 13–31

Zola Tours manager Sandra—214-696-9760 or 800-966-3377—will help you select the trip of a lifetime. You can also email her at or visit levitt.com/tours to select the pilgrimage that’s best for you.

Just as God counts the hairs on your head, He counts your days. The Ultimate Mathematician also uses numbers, time, and the Feast intervals to reveal Himself. Counting plays a major role in the seven-week season between Passover and Pentecost. I like to think of it as a countdown to glory!

Passover actually comprises three holidays:
The Passover of the sacrificial lamb, followed by
Unleavened Bread (seven days of no leaven), and punctuated by
First Fruits, the day after Shabbat, when a grain offering of gratitude for the early harvest of barley is waved before the Lord.

Leviticus 23:15–16 And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
The sinless picture of Messiah is in the unleavened bread.
Leviticus 2:11 No grain offering which you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey in any offering to the Lord made by fire.

After the offering, the days are counted until the Feast of Weeks, Shavuot. During this countdown, the Jews offer this prayer daily:

Counting of the Omer

Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melekh ha olam
asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu
al s’firat ha omer

Blessed are you, Lord God, King of the Universe,
Who sanctifies us and commands the counting of the Sheaves

Every day, the sheaves (omer) are counted and offered but always with great expectation building toward the 50th day = Shavuot = Feast of Weeks = Pentecost! Jewish tradition asks if the Israelites knew the Torah was coming on Mount Sinai in 50 days. Could Moses have foretold the mountaintop meeting to come?

Our God is a God of purpose and intent: Passover for the Israelites led to the desert communion with the Lord and looking forward to the next great event: the meeting at Sinai, in this case. For Believers after Jesus’ crucifixion at Passover, it meant communion with the risen Christ and looking for… something. For a succinct summary of the Feast seasons of God, read Zola’s study booklet The Seven Feasts of Israel (also available as an eBook, on DVD, and a teaching CD).

Certainly, people today are looking for something. Talk of UFOs, aliens, and even heavenly appearances of lunar and solar eclipses abounds.

This month, our Zola Levitt Presents television programs on Israel in Prophecy address the very human need to understand the supernatural. People all over the world are looking for… something. We interviewed key leaders in the prophecy movement in order to equip our viewers with biblical truth as the world explores every strange doctrine. Focusing on the importance of Israel in prophecy, our broadcasts this month include:

Bill Koenig and Yoram Ettinger
On our new set, we introduce White House correspondent Bill Koenig, (far left) who talks to Todd Baker (ZLM staff theologian) about the current nuclear agreement with Iran. Yoram Ettinger (left) an ambassador-level diplomat with Israel’s Consul General and a political consultant for U.S.-Israel relations— describes Iran’s ultimate goal of world domination. We examine the ties between the U.S. and Israel.
Gary Fisher and David Reagan
Evangelist Gary Fisher (far left) (Lion of Judah Ministry) talks to Todd Baker about how the world will focus on Israel until the end, when all Israel will be saved. Evangelist David Reagan (left) (Lamb and Lion Ministries) tells how the once-lost Hebrew language has been restored, and reports on Israel’s military.
Robert Mawire
Myles and Katharine talk with evangelist and author Dr. Robert Mawire about his exuberant support for Israel and his passion for reaching the lost through his radio ministry. Dr. Mawire’s testimony bears witness to the price paid for standing with Israel…and God’s extravagant blessing for those who are willing to do it!
Where is America in Bible Prophecy?
Myles and Katharine hear from Christian leaders about the role of the U.S. in end-times prophecy. Guests include Mark Hitchcock, Daymond Duck, Terry James, Jerry Robinson, Wilfred Hahn, and Chuck Missler.
Aliens Among Us
Myles and Katharine address a subject often ignored today. The modern UFO movement has ancient and demonic roots. Christian Believers will be equipped to exercise their authority in Christ against Satan.

The TV programs described above are designed to prepare Believers to defend truth as deception rises. To that end, early production is underway for our series Joseph to be filmed this fall in Israel. Actors, sets, and art direction point to a complete illustration of Yeshua in prophecy. You can help us produce the high quality programs that you expect from Zola Levitt Presents. Won’t you please consider a generous donation for this series?

June’s prophecy programs are airing at the perfect time to address the transitional Seasons of God (between Feasts).

Contrasting with the Feast of Unleavened Bread when all leaven is swept from Jewish homes, the Feast of Shavuot requires two loaves baked with leaven to be waved as an offering before the Lord.

Lev 23:16–17 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord. You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves…. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the firstfruits to the Lord.

Why leaven? Jewish thought equates leaven with sin, that which is not connected to the God of Abraham. Yet at this Feast, God requires leaven, which can mean only one thing: God was/is preparing a body of Believers made of Jews and non-Jews (gentiles). He has always desired for us to worship Him together.

Ephesians 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation…

Levitt Letter Hebrew columnist John Parsons explains: “Though the Jewish sages did not fathom the use of the otherwise forbidden leaven in the offering (Lev. 2:11), prophetically, the waving of Shtei HaLechem (two loaves) pictures the ‘one new man’ (comprising both Jew and gentile) before the altar of the Lord (Eph. 2:14). The countdown to Shavuot, therefore, goes beyond the revelation of Torah given at Sinai and points to the greater revelation of Zion.”

To prepare the early talmidim (disciples), Yeshua—as the First Fruits of the Father’s deliverance—appeared in spectacular and personal ways.

Mark 16:9 Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.

On the first day of counting the omer, He appeared to the one who likely considered herself the least of them. How typical of the God of Mercy! On the 40th day of counting the omer, He ascended from Bethany with the following instruction about the disciples gathering for Shavuot:

Acts 1:4–5 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father…the Ruach HaKodesh.

Luke 24:50–53 Then He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands He blessed them. While He blessed them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the Temple blessing God.

Acts 2:1–4 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) appeared in many ways between His resurrection and ascension. In every instance, it was to encourage the brethren and prepare them for the imminent future.

Believers need to look to Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith, to ready ourselves for the days ahead! Katharine and I are blessed to co-labor with you as we anticipate His Day. May God enrich your life and the lives of your loved ones as you team with us in fulfilling The Great Commission.

Please remember, Sha’alu Shalom Yerushalayim — “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!” (Psalm 122:6)

Your brother,
Myles Myles

P.S. Just as God used the seven-week season between Passover and Pentecost to prepare His disciples, He is preparing current-day Believers for the next great event: Trumpets—His return!
