- 00:18 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel
- 00:22 is that they might be saved
- 00:25 for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek
- 00:27 for the same LORD over all
- 00:30 is rich unto all that call upon Him.
- 00:41 Shalom and welcome to our program. I'm Myles Weiss
- 00:43 And I'm Katharine Weiss
- 00:46 And it's our joy to hear from you
- 00:49 and we're going to share some of the letters
- 00:50 that people have written in to our newsletter
- 00:53 and share them on the air today.
- 00:54 Yes you know we get a lot of letters
- 00:56 both to the newsletter and also to our TV program.
- 00:59 Here's one from M.A.K. in Rhode Island.
- 01:03 She writes in and says,
- 01:04 "My 47 year old daughter,
- 01:06 who is neither a new nor uniformed Christian,
- 01:09 has concluded from what she read on the internet
- 01:12 that the Church has replaced Israel.
- 01:14 Are you familiar with this view
- 01:16 and how do you refute it?"
- 01:18 That's our heart's passion is to refute that.
- 01:20 It's really true.
- 01:21 This is what's called "replacement theology".
- 01:24 If you've been watching our program for any length of time
- 01:26 you know that it's one of our passions
- 01:27 to deal with the fact that the Abrahamic Covenant
- 01:30 and the connection with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
- 01:33 who is Israel, has never been revoked by God.
- 01:37 In fact, Paul tells us it's an irrevocable calling.
- 01:41 We are called as Jewish people, as national Israel,
- 01:44 which will lead to revelation of the Messiah
- 01:47 but it really has to do with the Land
- 01:49 and the Word and the authority of scripture
- 01:51 and it's a sovereignty issue.
- 01:53 And I like to put it this way...
- 01:55 It says in Jeremiah 50,51 & 52
- 01:57 about God's restoration of Israel.
- 01:59 You know He took them out of their land
- 02:02 as a punishment for their disobedience
- 02:04 but it's like a child when a child is...you don't
- 02:08 You don't disown them.
- 02:10 Well you don't disown them but at the same time
- 02:12 you don't want somebody else coming along
- 02:14 and administering any kind of discipline.
- 02:16 Oooo...that's really good.
- 02:18 You know in Zechariah 1:15
- 02:20 God admonishes the surrounding nations
- 02:22 and says, you went too far;
- 02:24 I was punishing them;
- 02:25 I was correcting them
- 02:27 but you, the Gentile nations, have gone too far.
- 02:29 I think that's the history of the world
- 02:31 in relation to the Jewish people.
- 02:32 And also in Romans it's really clear.
- 02:34 Roman's 9 through 11
- 02:36 it says that His gifts and His callings are irreplaceable.
- 02:40 Irrevocable
- 02:41 without repentance God does not change His mind
- 02:44 about the loving relationship with Israel.
- 02:46 Thank God that you as Gentile believers
- 02:49 and watchers of this program, viewers of our program,
- 02:52 can be grafted in to the commonwealth of Israel.
- 02:55 Ephesians 2:14 tells us that we,
- 02:58 meaning you Gentile folks,
- 02:59 are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel
- 03:01 and He's broken down the middle wall of partition between us
- 03:04 so that Jew and Gentile can worship the LORD together.
- 03:07 It does not displace Israel.
- 03:09 But I think it's a wonderful question
- 03:11 because to tell you the truth
- 03:12 when Myles and I first got called into the ministry
- 03:14 we were called to the nations.
- 03:16 We went to India and Africa and Russia
- 03:19 and it wasn't until after we were on our way back
- 03:21 from Russia doing marriage seminars
- 03:23 that the LORD put it on our hearts
- 03:26 that we had been neglecting His Jewish identity...
- 03:30 your Jewish heritage and therefore robbing our kids.
- 03:34 And then we began to go on this journey
- 03:37 of being restored back to the way that God wanted you to be
- 03:42 seen as a Messianic believer.
- 03:43 Yes, I am a Jew; I was born a Jew;
- 03:46 I will die a Jew or be raptured as a Jew
- 03:48 and I'm a follower of Yeshua.
- 03:50 It's the most Jewish thing I can do.
- 03:52 And so replacement theology is a heresy.
- 03:55 It is error and some more information for you
- 03:58 would be through Zola's booklet "Broken Branches,
- 04:02 Has the Church Replaced Israel?"
- 04:05 or my booklet "An Epic Love Story,
- 04:07 Jews & Gentiles One in Messiah".
- 04:09 I think those will really help you.
- 04:11 Let's look at another letter.
- 04:14 Okay Well this one is about the end times.
- 04:18 "I can't understand some of our government's actions."
- 04:21 "It seems like they are pushing us into the end times."
- 04:25 And so we agree with that some of the decisions
- 04:28 that are being made are pushing us headlong
- 04:31 into a hard time for our nation
- 04:34 especially the warning in Joel
- 04:37 about that if you divide My Land
- 04:38 I'll bring judgment to the nations that do that.
- 04:41 But at the same time we always have to remember Luke 21:28,
- 04:45 "When you see these signs begin,
- 04:48 the wars and rumors of wars,
- 04:50 look up for your redemption draws nigh."
- 04:55 Right, we want to keep a hopeful view of the end times,
- 04:58 even of the actions of governments around the world
- 05:00 both in Europe, here in the states,
- 05:01 wherever they are.
- 05:02 They may be lining up prophectically against Jerusalem
- 05:05 because that will happen
- 05:07 but the fact is that as Katharine has said,
- 05:09 we have a view that we take from the whole of scripture
- 05:13 including the book of Revelation
- 05:14 which says 40 times that God is on the throne.
- 05:17 He's in control, He's going to have His way
- 05:20 and things are going to play out
- 05:22 exactly the way He plans them to.
- 05:23 And we've seen governments change their mind
- 05:25 and that's what we pray for continually.
- 05:27 In Timothy it talks about that we're admonished to
- 05:30 pray for those that are in rule over us and to not put
- 05:33 judgment over them but to continue to ask God,
- 05:37 to beseech God for His mercy for our nation,
- 05:39 for our leaders and that God would bring wisdom to
- 05:42 our State Department and those that make decisions
- 05:45 that would affect us.
- 05:47 Yes we want to really ask you to pray for our own government,
- 05:50 pray for the governments of the world
- 05:52 that they will be found on the right side of history.
- 05:55 Matthew 24 when Jesus spoke about judging nations
- 05:59 He was going to divide them between sheep and goat nations.
- 06:02 And when He does that
- 06:03 we want to be found as a sheep nation.
- 06:05 So we want to encourage you... pray for America
- 06:08 and pray for being found on the right side of history
- 06:11 in relation to Israel
- 06:13 and in relation to the Word of the LORD.
- 06:15 So let's look at this one.
- 06:16 This is about women teachers...Katharine.
- 06:18 It says, "Dear Myles, I would like about eight
- 06:21 Levitt Letters to pass around,
- 06:23 I also have a couple of questions."
- 06:25 "What's the debate about women preachers?"
- 06:27 "I feel if they're gifted to preach let them preach."
- 06:29 "Women pick up the slack shaming the men who won't do the job."
- 06:32 "It would take a miracle to unite all the warring
- 06:35 church bodies to do the LORD's work."
- 06:37 Your thoughts?
- 06:38 Well this is from M.W.M.
- 06:39 here in Texas.
- 06:41 Well thank you for your support.
- 06:43 Thank you for the kind letter that you sent along with this.
- 06:47 Regarding your question,
- 06:49 you know throughout the Tanakh, the Hebrew Scriptures
- 06:52 and the B'rit Hadashah, the New Testament,
- 06:54 we have examples of powerful women of God
- 06:57 who actually led the charge for the sake of Israel
- 07:00 or supported the work of the ministry.
- 07:03 I think about Deborah and her service in the military.
- 07:06 I think about Esther standing for the nation
- 07:09 or Ruth bringing her Jewish mother-in-law into the land of Israel.
- 07:14 There's story after story of women leaders and strong leaders
- 07:17 who have affected positively the future of all of Israel,
- 07:21 therefore the bringing about the birth of Messiah.
- 07:23 And even into the New Testament we have Lydia
- 07:26 and we have others that have stood with the Jewish people...
- 07:29 stood with the Gospel work.
- 07:31 Here's an interesting word.
- 07:33 Paul even included a woman in his salutation to the Roman Apostles.
- 07:37 I know this will be controversial
- 07:39 but just getting it from the Bible.
- 07:40 You can take it up with God.
- 07:42 "Salute Andronicus and Junia,"...a woman
- 07:45 "Salute Andronicus and Junia,
- 07:47 my countrymen and my fellow prisoners,
- 07:49 who are of note among the apostles,
- 07:53 who also were in Christ before me."
- 07:55 That's Romans 16:7.
- 07:57 He's including a woman named Junia
- 08:00 in the list of the Apostles,
- 08:01 those that were co-laboring with him to preach the Gospel.
- 08:04 WOW...well I remember when Jesus after He had resurrected
- 08:09 that He Himself...
- 08:11 the first person who He appeared to was a woman
- 08:14 and He gave her a charge.
- 08:16 He told her go tell the disciples that I am risen.
- 08:21 So for me I don't like to take a man's place
- 08:24 or usurp his authority in any means
- 08:27 but there is a place for each woman to have her voice heard
- 08:31 and to go tell the disciples that "He is risen".
- 08:35 Yeah, I think the safest place for many reasons
- 08:38 is for a woman to be connected to her husband
- 08:40 or under the pastoral covering of a man
- 08:42 but I appreciate people like Sandra Levitt Turner.
- 08:46 I appreciate people like Katharine Weiss who I learn from.
- 08:49 There are others in the body that I learn from as well
- 08:51 and I don't want to be so proudful as to not
- 08:53 receive from someone who is gifted by God.
- 08:57 We'll be back after this.

- 09:13 "An Epic Love Story, Jews and Gentiles One in Messiah" by Myles Weiss
- 09:20 This booklet answers some questions you may have
- 09:22 about timely and vital issues.
- 09:24 For example: Is Jesus Coming Soon?
- 09:27 How did the Church loose its Jewish identity?
- 09:30 What is the Shared Destiny of Jews and Christians?
- 09:33 "An Epic Love Story" will take you on a journey
- 09:36 through time into the heart and mind of the Apostle Paul
- 09:39 when he was inspired to write to the Roman church.
- 09:42 Call 1-800-WONDERS and ask for "An Epic Love Story"
- 09:51 The Epic Love Story is a love story between Jews and Gentiles becoming one.
- 09:55 Ephesians talks about it
- 09:57 and Romans 9 through 11 just really goes into it that
- 10:00 God has not cast away the Jews
- 10:03 but has brought them back
- 10:05 and we are living in the day
- 10:06 of this "one new man" coming into full bloom.
- 10:09 It's true...I want to read another letter.
- 10:11 Let's go back to some of these...
- 10:13 they're real interesting.
- 10:14 This one writes in...
- 10:16 M.W.M. writes in and says,
- 10:18 "It would take a miracle to unite the different factions in the church.
- 10:21 Is there a way that God can do this in our time?"
- 10:24 Well I'd like to address this.
- 10:26 I think that the special interests that people have in different parts of the body
- 10:31 will never suffice to bring us together as one.
- 10:34 But if we look at the scripture
- 10:36 and we look in Psalm 133 and John 17
- 10:39 we see a connection that God puts both in the
- 10:43 B'rit Hadashah, the New Testament,
- 10:45 and in the Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible.
- 10:47 Psalm 133 says,
- 10:48 (speaking Hebrew)
- 10:52 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
- 10:55 when brethren to dwell together in unity!
- 10:57 And Jesus went on to say...
- 10:59 Yeshua said in John 17,
- 11:01 that His heart's desire was that men would know,
- 11:04 people would know that we were one
- 11:07 just as He is one with the Father.
- 11:09 And that prayer for unity...
- 11:12 I would not be surprised if it's not connected to
- 11:14 this growing revelation of the Hebrew root of the Church,
- 11:20 that we can't find it in issues;
- 11:22 we have to find it in something substantive
- 11:25 where we're grafted in to the fatness of the root,
- 11:27 the living oil that comes from this original menorah.
- 11:32 A purpose greater than ourselves because then
- 11:34 that draws us to God's heart and it draws us
- 11:38 beyond our own affections into His affection
- 11:42 and we believe that that has to do with Israel
- 11:45 and His plan for the end times.
- 11:47 Right, wouldn't it be ironic if the very thing
- 11:49 that brings unity is this issue that seems so divisive...
- 11:54 Israel...the Jewish people
- 11:55 ...Jerusalem
- 11:56 seems so divisive on the world stage
- 11:58 but wouldn't it be amazing if that's the very
- 12:01 thing that connects us into a below the surface
- 12:05 unity that is completely supernatural,
- 12:07 born of God and gets played out through.
- 12:09 Well you've brought quite a few pastors
- 12:11 with you on that one tour
- 12:13 and I think that worship has a great key to unity.
- 12:16 So if we could worship the LORD
- 12:18 it kind of melts away all of our mindsets.
- 12:21 It does melt away our divisions.
- 12:23 I brought forty pastors from twenty different denominations
- 12:26 to Israel one time
- 12:28 and they had the revelatory download
- 12:30 of the centrality of Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people.
- 12:34 I recommend you do the same.
- 12:36 Alright, let's look at another letter.
- 12:39 "Dear ZLM, I am part of the Messianic movement"
- 12:42 ...I think this comes from a Gentile person.
- 12:45 "I am part of the Messianic movement and in a quandary."
- 12:48 "A dear relative is getting married on Saturday September 14th
- 12:52 which also happens to be Yom Kippur the holiest day of the year."
- 12:56 "I'm sure she's unaware of what day it is."
- 12:59 ...that's how I knew that she is a Gentile.
- 13:01 "I could probably attend a service on Friday night..."
- 13:03 But it goes on to say that,
- 13:05 "I don't want to dishonor God."
- 13:07 "How do I do this?"
- 13:08 Well first of all
- 13:09 chances are this is a Gentile family member who is getting married on Yom Kippur
- 13:14 because most Jewish people would not choose that day to be married
- 13:18 because it is the holiest day of the year for us.
- 13:21 It's when we look for our names to be written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
- 13:24 Good news for you if you call upon the Name of Yeshua
- 13:27 your name can be written in the Lamb's Book of Life today.
- 13:31 But I think that the quandary brings up a bigger issue
- 13:35 which is what is the obligation of the Church today
- 13:38 to keep the feasts of the Jewish people,
- 13:40 the feasts of LORD that were given to Israel?
- 13:43 And it's an important issue because I think that
- 13:45 this is a matter of conscience.
- 13:46 I do not think that we are beholden as believers
- 13:50 as new covenant believers...
- 13:51 I don't believe we are beholden to keep the feasts of the LORD
- 13:56 but we sure can learn from them can't we?
- 13:58 Well I think that there's something to be observed in each feast
- 14:02 and there's something to partake of each feast
- 14:05 but you're not bound to it in a way that keeps you in a religious confine.
- 14:12 I believe that love trumps everything
- 14:14 and if it's a family member and it's their wedding
- 14:17 you want to demonstrate love so that therefore you're
- 14:20 going to honor God by loving that family member and also by
- 14:25 you know...praying your prayers for Yom Kippur.
- 14:27 Colossians 2:14-16 reminds us not to judge one another
- 14:32 having to do with Sabbaths and feasts and new moons, etc.
- 14:36 It's a matter of conscience.
- 14:37 We need to find our way through that.
- 14:39 We deal with this all the time in congregational life
- 14:41 and of course through the ministry here at ZLM also.
- 14:44 We deal with this all the time
- 14:46 and it's a matter of personal conscience.
- 14:49 Let's not judge each other.
- 14:50 Let's kind of encourage one another in the LORD.
- 14:52 But we keep the feasts and that is part of our passion
- 14:56 to encourage you that there is something very beautiful in them.
- 14:59 But don't make them a stumbling block for those that are your loved ones
- 15:04 or even for the Church that you might be attending.
- 15:07 Be entreating and be inclusive in this
- 15:10 revelation that you have of Israel and His time clock.
- 15:14 And I want to remind you also that when Katharine
- 15:17 says we keep the feasts she means to say what
- 15:20 she said earlier, we keep them to learn from them.
- 15:23 We are not rigid or religious or overly
- 15:27 scrupulous about the days and the times.
- 15:29 We just want to learn of the LORD as they all point to Messiah.
- 15:32 That's right
- 15:34 Let's look at our next letter.
- 15:36 "Dear ZLM, I just want to thank you for fulfilling
- 15:39 the LORD's mandate to 'visit those in prison.'"
- 15:43 "Every Levitt Letter I receive helps to educate
- 15:46 and inspire my faith."
- 15:48 "I have contributed to your ministry financially
- 15:51 and hope to do more."
- 15:53 "Please continue to teach the truth in God's Word as
- 15:55 I will continue to pray from behind bars for the peace of Jerusalem."
- 16:00 "God bless" - K.A.B from Ohio
- 16:03 WOW, it's our joy to be able to send these letters in and
- 16:06 we can do it because of your gifts of funds.
- 16:08 It helps us to give to those who can't
- 16:11 necessarily provide for the show,
- 16:14 the letters and all that we do to bring the news to
- 16:18 you about Israel, current events,
- 16:20 end time prophecy and the heart,
- 16:23 the apple of God's eye.
- 16:25 It's true we actually send the Levitt Letter to
- 16:27 over 2,000 prisoners across America and we
- 16:30 often receive this kind of a testimony...
- 16:33 "I get the letter.
- 16:34 I pass it around to everyone in prison
- 16:36 including my Muslim acquaintances".
- 16:38 And the Word of God is going forth
- 16:40 multiplied times because of the Levitt Letter.
- 16:43 And I'm hoping that people also have an opportunity
- 16:45 to see the program.
- 16:47 The reality is that the Gospel is going forth behind bars
- 16:50 and we have a mandate to reach those in prison.
- 16:53 And so we believe that it's a great blessing for
- 16:56 those who can give to help us to give to those who cannot.
- 17:00 Right, and again if you've ever thought that
- 17:03 you would like to sow a seed into this ministry or
- 17:05 give a gift...one time gift or an ongoing gift
- 17:09 we would so appreciate it because it will help us to
- 17:12 continue to help others and to preach the Gospel.
- 17:15 Yeah it's very convicting isn't it to
- 17:17 hear that someone who is caught in prison...
- 17:20 hard time in their life...
- 17:22 we don't know what's going on with this man's life
- 17:24 but he's finding a way to learn about God
- 17:27 and hopefully he's being transformed by the Word of God.

- 18:31 This letter comes in...
- 18:33 I'll have to paraphrase it because it's rather long.
- 18:35 But it's essentially asking about the conflict
- 18:37 between the Palestinian Arabs
- 18:39 and the Jewish people and the land.
- 18:41 This is a huge topic and I answered it in the newsletter rather succinctly
- 18:46 so I'll give you a kind of a thumbnail of the answer.
- 18:50 What's the truth about the refugee problem?
- 18:53 Really if you look back to 1948 there was almost an
- 18:57 even exchange of refugees from the Jews in the surrounding Muslim lands
- 19:01 and the Arabs that were living in Israel proper...
- 19:04 about 800,000 of each group.
- 19:08 The 800,000 Jews were forcibly sent out of the Arab lands,
- 19:14 they left with the clothes on their back
- 19:15 they had nothing and they we're all absorbed into Israel
- 19:19 where they became the beginning of the Israel state.
- 19:21 And they had to start over
- 19:23 They had to leave their money in their bank accounts and...
- 19:24 Yes it was all taken by the surrounding nations.
- 19:28 They started over completely in the land of Israel.
- 19:30 The same number roughly of Arabs that actually lived within Israel
- 19:34 were told by their leaders to just get out of the way
- 19:39 we'll defeat the Jews in a short time
- 19:42 and then you can come back and have your home and theirs.
- 19:46 It didn't work out that way.
- 19:47 1948 when Israel was declared a state, May 14, 1948
- 19:51 and Ben-Gurion announced that to the world
- 19:54 the next day Israel was attacked by the surrounding 5 Arab nations
- 19:59 and the Israelis...
- 20:01 Supernatural protection
- 20:02 Thank you... supernaturally won that war
- 20:05 because of the protection of HaShem
- 20:07 the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who is Israel,
- 20:11 protected them and gave them the ability to win that war.
- 20:15 The Arabs that were no longer in Israel proper
- 20:19 were then placed in refugee camps
- 20:23 which is a tragic non-solution to their plight.
- 20:27 Now here's where it gets really interesting.
- 20:30 The UN has several commissions regarding the treatment of refugees.
- 20:34 There's the UNHRC which is the high commission for the treatment of refugees
- 20:40 that addresses the refugee problem in the entire world.
- 20:44 They treat 40 million refugees using 7,000 workers.
- 20:51 The United Nations Relief and Works Administration
- 20:57 is designed to address the needs of just the Arab folks
- 21:01 that were put in these refugee camps.
- 21:04 Over three generations later there are still
- 21:08 generations of Arabs in refugee camps
- 21:11 and there are 30,000 full time employed workers
- 21:16 that are addressing the needs of only 5 and a half million Arabs.
- 21:20 So could you say that maybe it might be money making
- 21:23 for a small minority of people?
- 21:24 It's a huge money maker for like Arafat and ...
- 21:29 It is very much so a permanent position of...
- 21:33 It's so sad
- 21:35 Yes...a permanent position
- 21:36 of squalor and difficulty for the Arabs in the refugee camps
- 21:39 and a permanent money making position for the 30,000 workers.
- 21:43 Now here's where it may be that there's a solution
- 21:47 that's built in by God.
- 21:50 What is the difference between the Jews getting absorbed into Israel
- 21:53 and the Arabs not getting absorbed into the surrounding largely Arab nations?
- 22:01 Instead of a right of return which is now on the table in the peace process...
- 22:06 Which would make Israel no longer a nation
- 22:08 because the population that are asking to return
- 22:11 would tip the scale
- 22:12 It would overwhelm the Jewish nation;
- 22:14 there would no longer be an Israel;
- 22:16 it would become another Arab nation a 22nd Arab nation
- 22:19 among the 21 Arab nations that live there now.
- 22:22 And why Israel exists is because that what
- 22:25 the people have said for years and years and years that
- 22:29 there would be a place for the Jewish people.
- 22:32 This is only one place in all the world
- 22:34 for the Jewish people to be Jewish.
- 22:35 Exactly so
- 22:37 And so instead of a right of return for the 5 and a half million
- 22:40 sons and grandsons of the original Arab refugees,
- 22:45 what about a right of absorption?
- 22:47 Just as the Jews were absorbed into Israel
- 22:50 why won't the surrounding Muslim nations
- 22:53 absorb their brethren and help them to prosper
- 22:56 in the lands that are surrounding Israel?
- 22:58 They've got lots of land and lots of wealth.
- 23:01 I think you've told me a little bit about that.
- 23:03 Well it's interesting we have Palestinian friends
- 23:06 that we work with and we believe in addressing
- 23:10 the humanitarian problem that exits in this...
- 23:13 But it's not about pouring in more money
- 23:17 it's about finding the answer according to the Word of God.
- 23:21 You know God blessed the Palestinian people.
- 23:24 He gave them 12 sons it says.
- 23:29 Abraham said what should I do with my beloved Ishmael?
- 23:32 I mean Ishmael was not neglected or despised.
- 23:36 Abraham loved Ishmael and he prayed to God
- 23:41 and God said I have blessed him
- 23:43 and I will make him a blessing.
- 23:45 And so he has 12 sons, he has all the land and all the oil
- 23:49 so there's plenty to go around.
- 23:51 It's just a matter of the little land of Israel that
- 23:56 God promised an oath to Isaac.
- 23:59 Right, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...that lineage
- 24:02 is the covenant lineage.
- 24:03 So here's what it looks like.
- 24:05 I have blessed Ishmael but my covenant is with Isaac.
- 24:10 And so if we could just understand that
- 24:13 and the sons of Ishmael would come through the door
- 24:16 of the sons of Isaac which is David
- 24:19 and most importantly David's greater son Yeshua...
- 24:22 if they would come in through that door
- 24:24 there's enough to go around.
- 24:25 I love Genesis 33 one of my favorite passages
- 24:28 is when Jacob and Esau reconcile
- 24:30 And it seems almost impossible
- 24:32 because Esau has set his sights on destroying Jacob.
- 24:36 And we know that Jacob in Genesis 32 goes through this wrestling match
- 24:40 with the Angel of LORD, maybe the LORD Himself,
- 24:42 and he is touched in his thigh for the rest of his life,
- 24:45 he's dependent on God
- 24:47 and he realizes his dependence.
- 24:48 But something happened to Esau
- 24:50 because when they come back together in Genesis 33
- 24:53 Jacob says something to Esau
- 24:55 that could only speak of a transformation
- 24:57 that had taken place in Esau's heart.
- 24:59 He says when I looked at you
- 25:01 it is as if I had seen the face of God.
- 25:04 And just as Jacob had had a face to face encounter
- 25:08 something happened to Esau.
- 25:10 And we pray daily for a face to face encounter
- 25:13 for the sons of Esau with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
- 25:17 Right that they wouldn't be used as a pawn
- 25:21 and given their children to do horrible things just for money
- 25:25 or for the sake of maybe going to their paradise.
- 25:32 The one thing that I wanted to say before Myles about Israel
- 25:35 is that the Jewish people had in their heart
- 25:39 to always have their own homeland
- 25:41 and that they say never again
- 25:44 meaning never again will there not be a place that we can go to.
- 25:48 You know every Passover when I was growing up
- 25:51 and for centuries before I was on this planet
- 25:53 every Passover the Jewish people would say
- 25:56 "L'shana habaah b'yerushalayim",
- 25:58 "Next Year in Jerusalem",
- 26:00 811 times Jerusalem is mentioned in our Bible.
- 26:04 It is not mentioned once in the Koran.
- 26:06 The addition of it as a holy site
- 26:09 is only later a political, religious event.
- 26:13 It's not bone of our bone, flesh of our flesh
- 26:15 as it is for the Jews.
- 26:17 Well this is our passion as you can see.
- 26:19 It's our heart that all people would be reconciled.
