Caption transcript for Israel In Prophecy (cont): “Letter from Viewers” (1/1)

  • 00:18 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved
  • 00:25 for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek
  • 00:28 for the same LORD over all is rich unto all that call upon Him
  • 00:42 Shalom and welcome to our program. I'm Myles Weiss
  • 00:44 And I'm Katharine Weiss
  • 00:46 And it's our joy to hear from you
  • 00:48 and we're going to share some of the letters that people have written in to our newsletter
  • 00:52 and share them on the air today.
  • 00:54 Yes you know we get a lot of letters both to the newsletter and also to our TV program.
  • 00:59 Here's one from M.A.K. in Rhode Island.
  • 01:03 She writes in and says,
  • 01:05 "My 47 year old daughter, who is neither a new nor uniformed Christian,"
  • 01:09 "has concluded from what she read on the internet that the Church has replaced Israel."
  • 01:14 "Are you familiar with this view and how do you refute it?"
  • 01:17 That's our heart's passion is to refute that.
  • 01:20 It's really true.
  • 01:22 This is what's called "replacement theology".
  • 01:24 If you've been watching our program for any length of time
  • 01:26 you know that it's one of our passions to deal with the fact
  • 01:29 that the Abrahamic Covenant and the connection with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who is Israel,
  • 01:35 has never been revoked by God.
  • 01:37 In fact, Paul tells us it's an irrevocable calling.
  • 01:40 We are called as Jewish people, as national Israel,
  • 01:44 which will lead to revelation of the Messiah
  • 01:47 but it really has to do with the Land and the Word
  • 01:50 and the authority of scripture and it's a sovereignty issue.
  • 01:53 And I like to put it this way...
  • 01:54 It says in Jeremiah 50:51 & 52
  • 01:57 about God's restoration of Israel.
  • 02:00 You know He took them out of their land as a punishment for their disobedience
  • 02:04 but it's like a child when a child is...you don't
  • 02:07 You don't disown them.
  • 02:09 Well you don't disown them but at the same time you don't want
  • 02:12 somebody else coming along and administering any kind of discipline.
  • 02:16 Oooo...that's really good.
  • 02:18 You know in Zechariah 1:15 God admonishes the surrounding nations and says,
  • 02:22 you went too far;
  • 02:24 I was punishing them;
  • 02:25 I was correcting them
  • 02:27 but you, the Gentile nations, have gone too far.
  • 02:30 I think that's the history of the world in relation to the Jewish people.
  • 02:32 And also in Romans it's really clear.
  • 02:35 Roman's 9 through 11 it says that His gifts and His callings are irreplaceable.
  • 02:40 Irrevocable without repentance
  • 02:42 God does not change His mind about the loving relationship with Israel.
  • 02:46 Thank God that you as Gentile believers and watchers of this program, viewers of our program,
  • 02:51 can be grafted in to the commonwealth of Israel.
  • 02:55 Ephesians 2:14 tells us that we, meaning you Gentile folks,
  • 02:59 are grafted in to the commonwealth of Israel
  • 03:01 and He's broken down the middle wall of partition between us
  • 03:04 so that Jew and Gentile can worship the LORD together.
  • 03:07 It does not displace Israel.
  • 03:09 But I think it's a wonderful question
  • 03:11 because to tell you the truth when Myles and I first got called into the ministry
  • 03:15 we were called to the nations.
  • 03:16 We went to India and Africa and Russia
  • 03:19 and it wasn't until we were on our way back from Russia doing marriage seminars
  • 03:23 that the LORD put it on our hearts
  • 03:26 that we had been neglecting His Jewish identity...
  • 03:30 your Jewish heritage and therefore robbing our kids.
  • 03:34 And then we began to go on this journey
  • 03:37 of being restored back to the way that God wanted you to be seen as a Messianic believer.
  • 03:44 Yes, I am a Jew;
  • 03:45 I was born a Jew;
  • 03:46 I will die a Jew or be raptured as a Jew
  • 03:48 and I'm a follower of Yeshua.
  • 03:50 It's the most Jewish thing I can do.
  • 03:52 And so replacement theology is a heresy.
  • 03:56 It is error
  • 03:57 and some more information for you would be through Zola's booklet
  • 04:01 "Broken Branches, Has the Church Replaced Israel?"
  • 04:05 or my booklet "An Epic Love Story, Jews & Gentiles One in Messiah".
  • 04:09 I think those will really help you.
  • 04:11 Let's look at another letter.
  • 04:13 Okay
  • 04:14 Well this one is about the end times.
  • 04:17 "I can't understand some of our government's actions."
  • 04:21 "It seems like they are pushing us into the end times."
  • 04:25 And so we agree with that some of the decisions that are being made
  • 04:29 are pushing us headlong into a hard time for our nation
  • 04:34 especially the warning in Joel about that if you divide My Land
  • 04:38 I'll bring judgment to the nations that do that.
  • 04:41 But at the same time we always have to remember Luke 21:28,
  • 04:46 "When you see these signs begin"
  • 04:48 "the wars and rumors of wars,"
  • 04:50 "look up for your redemption draws nigh."
  • 04:55 Right, we want to keep a hopeful view of the end times,
  • 04:58 even of the actions of governments around the world
  • 05:00 both in Europe, here in the states, wherever they are.
  • 05:03 They may be lining up prophetically against Jerusalem
  • 05:06 because that will happen
  • 05:08 but the fact is that as Katharine has said,
  • 05:10 we have a view that we take from the whole of scripture
  • 05:13 including the book of Revelation
  • 05:15 which says 40 times that God is on the throne.
  • 05:18 He's in control, He's going to have His way
  • 05:20 and things are going to play out exactly the way He plans them to.
  • 05:24 And we've seen governments change their mind and that's what we pray for continually.
  • 05:27 In Timothy it talks about that we're admonished to pray
  • 05:30 for those that are in rule over us
  • 05:33 and to not put judgment over them
  • 05:35 but to continue to ask God,
  • 05:37 to beseech God for His mercy for our nation, for our leaders
  • 05:41 and that God would bring wisdom to our State Department
  • 05:44 and those that make decisions that would affect us.
  • 05:47 Yes we want to really ask you to pray for our own government,
  • 05:50 pray for the governments of the world that they will be found on the right side of history.
  • 05:55 Matthew 24 when Jesus spoke about judging nations
  • 05:58 He was going to divide them between sheep and goat nations.
  • 06:02 And when He does that we want to be found as a sheep nation.
  • 06:05 So we want to encourage you...
  • 06:07 pray for America and pray for being found on the right side of history
  • 06:11 in relation to Israel and in relation to the Word of the LORD.
  • 06:15 So let's look at this one.
  • 06:17 This is about women teachers...Katharine.
  • 06:19 It says,
  • 06:20 "Dear Myles, I would like about eight"
  • 06:22 "Levitt Letters to pass around,"
  • 06:24 "I also have a couple of questions."
  • 06:26 "What's the debate about women preachers?"
  • 06:28 "I feel if they're gifted to preach let them preach."
  • 06:30 "Women pick up the slack shaming the men who won't do the job."
  • 06:33 "It would take a miracle to unite all the warring church bodies to do the LORD's work."
  • 06:37 "Your thoughts?"
  • 06:39 Well this is from M.W.M. here in Texas.
  • 06:41 Well thank you for your support.
  • 06:44 Thank you for the kind letter that you sent along with this.
  • 06:47 Regarding your question,
  • 06:49 you know throughout the Tanakh, the Hebrew Scriptures
  • 06:52 and the B'rit Hadashah, the New Testament,
  • 06:54 we have examples of powerful women of God
  • 06:57 who actually led the charge for the sake of Israel
  • 07:01 or supported the work of the ministry.
  • 07:03 I think about Deborah and her service in the military.
  • 07:07 I think about Esther standing for the nation
  • 07:09 or Ruth bringing her Jewish mother-in-law into the land of Israel.
  • 07:13 There's story after story of women leaders and strong leaders
  • 07:17 who have affected positively the future of all of Israel,
  • 07:21 therefore the bringing about the birth of Messiah.
  • 07:23 And even into the New Testament we have Lydia and we have others
  • 07:27 that have stood with the Jewish people...
  • 07:29 stood with the Gospel work.
  • 07:31 Here's an interesting word.
  • 07:33 Paul even included a woman in his salutation to the Roman Apostles.
  • 07:37 I know this will be controversial
  • 07:39 but just getting it from the Bible.
  • 07:41 You can take it up with God.
  • 07:43 "Salute Andronicus and Junia,"...a woman
  • 07:45 "Salute Andronicus and Junia,"
  • 07:47 "my countrymen and my fellow prisoners,"
  • 07:50 "who are of note among the apostles,"
  • 07:53 "who also were in Christ before me."
  • 07:56 That's Romans 16:7.
  • 07:58 He's including a woman named Junia in the list of the Apostles,
  • 08:01 those that were co-laboring with him to preach the Gospel.
  • 08:04 WOW...well I remember when Jesus after He had resurrected
  • 08:09 that He Himself...
  • 08:12 the first person who He appeared to was a woman
  • 08:14 and He gave her a charge.
  • 08:17 He told her go tell the disciples that I am risen.
  • 08:21 So for me I don't like to take a man's place
  • 08:24 or usurp his authority in any means
  • 08:27 but there is a place for each woman to have her voice heard
  • 08:31 and to go tell the disciples that "He is risen".
  • 08:35 Yeah, I think the safest place for many reasons is for a woman
  • 08:39 to be connected to her husband or under the pastoral covering of a man
  • 08:43 but I appreciate people like Sandra Levitt Turner.
  • 08:46 I appreciate people like Katharine Weiss who I learn from.
  • 08:49 There are others in the body that I learn from as well
  • 08:52 and I don't want to be so prideful as to not receive from someone who is gifted by God.
  • 08:56 We'll be back after this.
  • 09:12 Our offer on this program...
  • 09:14 "An Epic Love Story,"
  • 09:15 "Jews and Gentiles One in Messiah" by Myles Weiss
  • 09:20 This booklet answers some questions you may have about timely and vital issues.
  • 09:24 For example: Is Jesus Coming Soon?
  • 09:27 How did the Church loose its Jewish identity?
  • 09:30 What is the shared Destiny of Jews and Christians?
  • 09:33 "An Epic Love Story" will take you on a journey through time
  • 09:37 into the heart and mind of the Apostle Paul
  • 09:40 when he was inspired to write to the Roman church.
  • 09:42 Call 1-800-WONDERS and ask for "An Epic Love Story"
  • 09:51 The Epic Love Story is a love story between Jews and Gentiles becoming one.
  • 09:56 Ephesians talks about it
  • 09:58 and Romans 9 through 11 just really goes into it that God has not cast away the Jews
  • 10:03 but has brought them back
  • 10:05 and we are living in the day of this "one new man" coming into full bloom.
  • 10:10 It's true
  • 10:11 I want to read another letter.
  • 10:13 Let's go back to some of these...
  • 10:15 they're real interesting.
  • 10:17 This one writes in...
  • 10:18 M.W.M. writes in and says,
  • 10:20 "It would take a miracle to unite the different factions in the church."
  • 10:24 "Is there a way that God can do this in our time?"
  • 10:26 Well I'd like to address this.
  • 10:29 I think that the special interests that people have in different parts of the body
  • 10:33 will never suffice to bring us together as one.
  • 10:36 But if we look at the scripture
  • 10:39 and we look in Psalm 133 and John 17 we see a connection
  • 10:42 that God puts both in the B'rit Hadashah, the New Testament,
  • 10:46 and in the Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible.
  • 10:48 Psalm 133 says,
  • 10:50 (speaking Hebrew)
  • 10:53 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is when brethren to dwell together in unity!"
  • 10:58 And Jesus went on to say... Yeshua said in John 17,
  • 11:01 that His heart's desire was that men would know,
  • 11:05 people would know that we were one just as He is one with the Father.
  • 11:10 And that prayer for unity...
  • 11:13 I would not be surprised
  • 11:15 if it's not connected to this growing revelation of the Hebrew root of the Church,
  • 11:20 that we can't find it in issues;
  • 11:22 we have to find it in something substantive
  • 11:25 where we're grafted in to the fatness of the root,
  • 11:28 the living oil that comes from this original menorah.
  • 11:33 A purpose greater than ourselves
  • 11:35 because then that draws us to God's heart
  • 11:38 and it draws us beyond our own affections into His affection
  • 11:42 and we believe that that has to do with Israel
  • 11:46 and His plan for the end times.
  • 11:48 Right, wouldn't it be ironic if the very thing that brings unity
  • 11:51 is this issue that seems so divisive...
  • 11:54 Israel...the Jewish people...
  • 11:56 Jerusalem...
  • 11:58 seems so divisive on the world stage
  • 12:00 but wouldn't it be amazing if that's the very thing
  • 12:03 that connects us into a below the surface unity
  • 12:06 that is completely supernatural,
  • 12:08 born of God and gets played out through.
  • 12:10 Well you've brought quite a few pastors with you on that one tour
  • 12:13 and I think that worship has a great key to unity.
  • 12:17 So if we could worship the LORD
  • 12:19 it kind of melts away all of our mindsets.
  • 12:22 It does melt away our divisions.
  • 12:24 I brought forty pastors from twenty different denominations
  • 12:27 to Israel one time
  • 12:29 and they had the revelatory download
  • 12:31 of the centrality of Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people.
  • 12:34 I recommend you do the same.
  • 12:36 Alright, let's look at another letter.
  • 12:40 "Dear ZLM, I am part of the Messianic movement"
  • 12:44 I think this comes from a Gentile person.
  • 12:45 "I am part of the Messianic movement and in a quandary."
  • 12:49 "A dear relative is getting married on Saturday September 14th"
  • 12:52 "which also happens to be Yom Kippur the holiest day of the year."
  • 12:57 "I'm sure she's unaware of what day it is."
  • 12:59 ...that's how I knew that she is a Gentile.
  • 13:02 "I could probably attend a service on Friday night..."
  • 13:04 But it goes on to say that,
  • 13:06 "I don't want to dishonor God."
  • 13:08 "How do I do this?"
  • 13:09 Well first of all chances are this is a Gentile family member
  • 13:13 who is getting married on Yom Kippur
  • 13:15 because most Jewish people would not choose that day to be married
  • 13:19 because it is the holiest day of the year for us.
  • 13:21 It's when we look for our names to be written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
  • 13:25 Good news for you if you call upon the Name of Yeshua
  • 13:28 your name can be written in the Lamb's Book of Life today.
  • 13:31 But I think that the quandary brings up a bigger issue
  • 13:35 which is what is the obligation of the Church today
  • 13:38 to keep the feasts of the Jewish people,
  • 13:40 the feasts of LORD that were given to Israel?
  • 13:43 And it's an important issue because I think that this is a matter of conscience.
  • 13:47 I do not think that we are beholden as believers
  • 13:50 as new covenant believers...
  • 13:52 I don't believe we are beholden to keep the feasts of the LORD
  • 13:57 but we sure can learn from them can't we?
  • 13:59 Well I think that there's something
  • 14:01 to be observed in each feast
  • 14:04 and there's something to partake of each feast
  • 14:07 but you're not bound to it
  • 14:08 in a way that keeps you in a religious confine.
  • 14:12 I believe that love trumps everything
  • 14:15 and if it's a family member and it's their wedding
  • 14:18 you want to demonstrate love
  • 14:20 so that therefore you're going to honor God by loving that family member
  • 14:24 and also by...you know...
  • 14:26 praying your prayers for Yom Kippur.
  • 14:28 Colossians 2:14-16 reminds us
  • 14:31 not to judge one another having to do with Sabbaths
  • 14:34 and feasts and new moons, etc.
  • 14:36 It's a matter of conscience.
  • 14:38 We need to find our way through that.
  • 14:40 We deal with this all the time in congregational life
  • 14:42 and of course through the ministry here at ZLM also.
  • 14:45 We deal with this all the time
  • 14:47 and it's a matter of personal conscience.
  • 14:49 Let's not judge each other.
  • 14:51 Let's kind of encourage one another in the LORD.
  • 14:53 But we keep the feasts and that is part of our passion
  • 14:57 to encourage you that there is something very beautiful in them.
  • 15:00 But don't make them a stumbling block
  • 15:02 for those that are your loved ones
  • 15:05 or even for the Church that you might be attending.
  • 15:08 Be entreating and be inclusive in this revelation that you have
  • 15:12 of Israel and His time clock.
  • 15:15 And I want to remind you also
  • 15:17 that when Katharine says we keep the feasts
  • 15:19 she means to say what she said earlier,
  • 15:21 we keep them to learn from them.
  • 15:23 We are not rigid or religious
  • 15:26 or overly scrupulous about the days and the times.
  • 15:30 We just want to learn of the LORD as they all point to Messiah.
  • 15:33 That's right
  • 15:35 Let's look at our next letter.
  • 15:37 "Dear ZLM, I just want to thank you"
  • 15:40 "for fulfilling the LORD's mandate"
  • 15:42 "to 'visit those in prison.'"
  • 15:44 "Every Levitt Letter I receive"
  • 15:46 "helps to educate and inspire my faith."
  • 15:49 "I have contributed to your ministry financially"
  • 15:52 "and hope to do more."
  • 15:54 "Please continue to teach the truth in God's Word"
  • 15:56 "as I will continue to pray from behind bars for the peace of Jerusalem."
  • 16:01 "God bless" K.A.B. from Ohio
  • 16:04 WOW, it's our joy to be able to send these letters in
  • 16:06 and we can do it because of your gifts of funds.
  • 16:09 It helps us to give to those who can't necessarily provide
  • 16:13 for the show, the letters and all that we do to bring
  • 16:18 the news to you about Israel, current events, end time prophecy
  • 16:23 and the heart, the apple of God's eye.
  • 16:26 It's true we actually send the Levitt Letter
  • 16:28 to over 2,000 prisoners across America
  • 16:31 and we often receive this kind of a testimony...
  • 16:33 "I get the letter...I pass it around to everyone in prison"
  • 16:36 "including my Muslim acquaintances".
  • 16:39 And the Word of God is going forth multiplied times
  • 16:42 because of the Levitt Letter.
  • 16:44 And I'm hoping that people also have an opportunity to see the program.
  • 16:47 The reality is that the Gospel is going forth behind bars
  • 16:51 and we have a mandate to reach those in prison.
  • 16:53 And so we believe that it's a great blessing
  • 16:57 for those who can give to help us to give to those who cannot.
  • 17:01 Right, and again if you've ever thought that you would like to sow a seed into this ministry
  • 17:06 or give a gift...one time gift or an ongoing gift
  • 17:09 we would so appreciate it
  • 17:11 because it will help us to continue to help others and to preach the Gospel.
  • 17:16 Yeah it's very convicting isn't it
  • 17:18 to hear that someone who is caught in prison...
  • 17:21 hard time in their life...
  • 17:22 we don't know what's going on with this man's life
  • 17:25 but he's finding a way to learn about God
  • 17:27 and hopefully he's being transformed by the Word of God.
  • 17:31 We'll be back after this.

  • 18:26 Shalom and welcome back. We are continuing our program
  • 18:30 regarding letters that we receive from you.
  • 18:32 This letter comes in...
  • 18:34 I'll have to paraphrase it because it's rather long.
  • 18:36 But it's essentially asking about the conflict between
  • 18:39 the Palestinian Arabs and the Jewish people and the land.
  • 18:42 This is a huge topic
  • 18:44 and I answered it in the newsletter rather succinctly
  • 18:47 so I'll give you a kind of a thumbnail of the answer.
  • 18:51 What's the truth about the refugee problem?
  • 18:54 Really if you look back to 1948
  • 18:57 there was almost an even exchange of refugees
  • 18:59 from the Jews in the surrounding Muslim lands
  • 19:02 and the Arabs that were living in Israel proper...
  • 19:05 about 800,000 of each group.
  • 19:08 The 800,000 Jews were forcibly sent out of the Arab lands,
  • 19:14 they left with the clothes on their back
  • 19:17 they had nothing and they we're all absorbed into Israel
  • 19:20 where they became the beginning of the Israeli state.
  • 19:23 And they had to start over
  • 19:24 They had to leave their money in their bank accounts and...
  • 19:26 Yes it was all taken by the surrounding nations.
  • 19:28 They started over completely in the land of Israel.
  • 19:31 The same number roughly of Arabs that actually lived within Israel
  • 19:35 were told by their leaders to just get out of the way
  • 19:40 we'll defeat the Jews in a short time
  • 19:42 and then you can come back and have your home and theirs.
  • 19:46 It didn't work out that way.
  • 19:48 In 1948 when Israel was declared a state, May 14,1948
  • 19:52 and Ben-Gurion announced that to the world the next day
  • 19:56 Israel was attacked by the surrounding 5 Arab nations
  • 20:00 and the Israelis...
  • 20:02 Supernatural protection
  • 20:04 Thank you... supernaturally won that war
  • 20:06 because of the protection of HaShem the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who is Israel,
  • 20:11 protected them and gave them the ability to win that war.
  • 20:16 The Arabs that were no longer in Israel proper
  • 20:20 were then placed in refugee camps
  • 20:23 which is a tragic non-solution to their plight.
  • 20:28 Now here's where it gets really interesting.
  • 20:31 The UN has several commissions regarding the treatment of refugees.
  • 20:35 There's the UNHRC
  • 20:37 which is the high commission for the treatment of refugees
  • 20:42 that addresses the refugee problem in the entire world.
  • 20:45 They treat 40 million refugees using 7,000 workers.
  • 20:51 The United Nations Relief and Works Administration
  • 20:56 is designed to address just the needs of just the Arab folks
  • 21:03 that were put in these refugee camps.
  • 21:05 Over three generations later there are still generations of Arabs in refugee camps
  • 21:12 and there are 30,000 full time employed workers
  • 21:18 that are addressing the needs of only 5 and a half million Arabs.
  • 21:21 So could you say that maybe it might be money making for a small minority of people?
  • 21:25 It's a huge money maker for like Arafat and ...
  • 21:29 It is very much so a permanent position of...
  • 21:34 It's so sad Yes
  • 21:36 ...a permanent position of squalor and difficulty
  • 21:38 for the Arabs in the refugee camps
  • 21:40 and a permanent money making position for the 30,000 workers.
  • 21:44 Now here's where it may be that there's a solution that's built in by God.
  • 21:50 What is the difference between
  • 21:52 the Jews getting absorbed into Israel
  • 21:54 and the Arabs not getting absorbed into the surrounding largely Arab nations?
  • 22:02 Instead of a right of return
  • 22:05 which is now on the table in the peace process...
  • 22:07 Which would make Israel no longer a nation
  • 22:09 because the population that are asking to return would tip the scale
  • 22:13 It would overwhelm the Jewish nation;
  • 22:15 there would no longer be an Israel;
  • 22:17 it would become another Arab nation
  • 22:19 a 22nd Arab nation among the 21 Muslim nations that live there now.
  • 22:24 And why Israel exists is because that what the people have said for years and years and years
  • 22:30 that there would be a place for the Jewish people.
  • 22:33 This is only one place in all the world for the Jewish people to be Jewish.
  • 22:37 Exactly so
  • 22:39 And so instead of a right of return for the 5 and a half million sons and grandsons
  • 22:43 of the original Arab refugees,
  • 22:46 what about a right of absorption?
  • 22:48 Just as the Jews were absorbed into Israel
  • 22:51 why won't the surrounding Muslim nations absorb their brethren
  • 22:55 and help them to prosper in the lands that are surrounding Israel?
  • 22:59 They've got lots of land and lots of wealth.
  • 23:02 I think you've told me a little bit about that.
  • 23:05 Well it's interesting we have Palestinian friends that we work with
  • 23:08 and we believe in addressing the humanitarian problem that exits in this...
  • 23:15 But it's not about pouring in more money
  • 23:18 it's about finding the answer according to the Word of God.
  • 23:22 You know God blessed the Palestinian people.
  • 23:25 He gave them 12 sons it says.
  • 23:29 Abraham said what should I do with my beloved Ishmael?
  • 23:33 I mean Ishmael was not neglected or despised.
  • 23:37 Abraham loved Ishmael and he prayed to God
  • 23:42 and God said I have blessed him and I will make him a blessing.
  • 23:46 And so he has 12 sons,
  • 23:48 he has all the land and all the oil so there's plenty to go around.
  • 23:52 It's just a matter of that little land of Israel
  • 23:57 that God promised through an oath to Isaac.
  • 24:00 Right, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...that lineage is the covenant lineage.
  • 24:05 So here's what it looks like.
  • 24:06 I have blessed Ishmael but my covenant is with Isaac.
  • 24:11 And so if we could just understand that
  • 24:14 and the sons of Ishmael would come in through the door
  • 24:17 of the sons of Isaac which is David and most importantly David's greater son Yeshua...
  • 24:23 if they would come in through that door
  • 24:25 there's enough to go around.
  • 24:26 I love Genesis 33
  • 24:28 one of my favorite passages is when Jacob and Esau reconcile.
  • 24:32 And it seems almost impossible
  • 24:33 because Esau has set his sights on destroying Jacob.
  • 24:37 And we know that Jacob in Genesis 32
  • 24:39 goes through this wrestling match with the Angel of LORD, maybe the LORD Himself,
  • 24:43 and he is touched in his thigh for the rest of his life,
  • 24:46 he's dependent on God and he realizes his dependence.
  • 24:50 But something happened to Esau
  • 24:51 because when they come back together in Genesis 33
  • 24:54 Jacob says something to Esau
  • 24:56 that could only speak of a transformation that had taken place in Esau's heart.
  • 25:00 He says when I looked at you
  • 25:03 it is as if I had seen the face of God.
  • 25:06 And just as Jacob had had a face to face encounter
  • 25:09 something happened to Esau.
  • 25:11 And we pray daily for a face to face encounter
  • 25:14 for the sons of Esau with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
  • 25:19 Right that they wouldn't be used as a pawn
  • 25:22 and given their children to do horrible things just for money
  • 25:27 or for the sake of maybe going to their paradise.
  • 25:32 Anyways the one thing that I wanted to say before Myles about Israel
  • 25:37 is that the Jewish people had in their heart to always have their own homeland
  • 25:42 and that they say never again
  • 25:45 meaning never again will there not be a place that we can go to.
  • 25:49 You know every Passover when I was growing up
  • 25:52 and for centuries before I was on this planet
  • 25:54 every Passover the Jewish people would say
  • 25:57 "L'shana habaah b'yerushalayim",
  • 26:00 "Next Year in Jerusalem",
  • 26:02 811 times Jerusalem is mentioned in our Bible.
  • 26:05 It is not mentioned once in the Koran.
  • 26:08 The addition of it as a holy site
  • 26:10 is only later a political, religious event.
  • 26:14 It's not bone of our bone, flesh of our flesh
  • 26:17 as it is for the Jews.
  • 26:18 Well this is our passion as you can see.
  • 26:21 It's our heart that all people would be reconciled.
