May 1984 Personal Letter

Dear friends,

The excitement is about Israel this month as various staff members, including yours truly, are preparing for our summer tour. I only wish it were possible for every one of you to join us on this most inspiring of all Bible studies. But all Christians will finally go to Israel — not for two weeks, but for a thousand years! (Zech. 14:16). The Feast of Tabernacles, as many understand, will be celebrated annually during the period of the Kingdom and we will all take part. So if God has not called you to Israel at this time, you can be sure He plans for your visit later on!

Each year we have a tour to Israel at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles and we join thousands of Christians from all nations in joyous worship services. This year’s Tabernacles Tour will be in early October and I’ll give you the details in upcoming letters.

Many of you have asked about new programming. We appreciate your compliments on our reruns and your suggestions for new programs. We are contemplating a very thorough look at the seven feasts of Israel, devoting a whole program to each of these holy convocations. Our producer recently returned from the Holy Land where he was able to obtain excellent video footage of authentic Israeli celebrations of these 3500 year-old festivals. I really think you will enjoy seeing this one-of-a-kind look behind the spiritual scenes in the modern Promised Land. We’ll be making these programs in the next few weeks. If you would like information on sponsoring these new efforts, which will be seen by millions, please let us know immediately. It is now costing around $2,000 to produce each studio program. Thanks.

Good news for our Dallas and Fort Worth friends. We have two new and very convenient airtimes beginning Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th on the new UHF Channel 49. ZOLA LEVITT LIVE will be seen at 8:00 p.m. Fridays and 7:00 p.m. Saturdays on Channel 49. This channel will have purely Christian programming and we are delighted to be involved as one of the inaugural programs. Channel 49 is a normal UHF station like 39 and may be tuned with your UHF channel selector.

We realize that we are still sending the program at less convenient airtimes to a lot of you across the nation, but we are steadily working on the problem. Our home area just happened to open up new broadcasting outlets within our means. We are aware that many of you are getting up early or staying up late to watch us on the national cable networks but inevitably, the same kind of local broadcasting outlets will become available everywhere. We will correct the airtimes whenever possible.

I should say a heartfelt thank-you in this connection for your reliable support. Every new station involves a financial risk, but your kindness has put us in a position to take these risks. Thank you again.

Thanks too, for your patience when it’s necessary for us to repeat our programs. God knows how you have built and sustained this ministry and He will greatly honor your good works.

In His love,
