Dear Friend,
In one of the most vital verses in all Scripture, Jesus cries out from the cross, “It is finished.” His earthly ministry was accomplished; all sins of all men were paid in full.
As a matter of fact, the Greek term given for “it is finished” literally meant “paid in full.” This useful word was utilized in Roman culture to cancel debts, pay invoices and especially to certify that prison sentences had been completely served. Society was “paid in full” by the bearer of an “it is finished” certificate.
We have that wonderful “it is finished” feeling here at Zola Levitt Ministries. After months of juggling bills, holding back salaries and constant appeals to God and to you, we are at last “paid in full.” We did what we’re supposed to do.
We expended every dollar we had on quality television programming—The Holy Places series—and with the grace of God and your kindness we have balanced our books once again. Please know that we are very grateful for your willing support.
I really want to stress that this is your ministry. I sign myself “Your messenger” because I am. “We must all stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ” (II Cor. 5:10) and I wonder if you realize just how many good works you are accomplishing with your giving. If the Lord asks, “How did you treat my brothers?” (Matt. 25:40) you can answer, “I sent my messenger to them.” If He asks about the poor, the rich, the East, the West—you can confidently say that you sent a message, the Gospel message. We are very sensitive about how we use the precious opportunity of sending your message. Last week we received a food stamp as a donation and it certainly made us conscious of our awesome position of trust.
For the future we intend to make another “Holy Places” series. With the wonderful success of the last series we realize that Biblical programs for Biblical locations have a tremendous effect on our viewers, believers and unbelievers alike. We are also able to make our way into new broadcast areas with good programming like this. New stations are willing to give us choice airtimes at favorable rates when we send them such quality. It is imperative that we maintain this high standard.
However, I don’t think we should ever go so deeply into debt again. These troubled times require firm financial support for new projects.
Therefore, the immediate plan is to rerun “The Holy Places” series in your area and accumulate donations toward the next Israel trip. As you watch these splendid programs again, please reflect on how wonderful it would be to have them coming new and fresh. each week throughout the year. We can seriously produce a year’s worth of programs from the holy places. All we need is the financial means.
You don’t have to rush money to this office overnight; we’re not in any crisis. Anyway, everybody sent so much last month that I really don’t want to ask again so soon. Just take time during the reruns to think about the future of our ministry together. We are in a unique position to earn that coveted commendation of our King, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
God bless you every one, and thank you again for all you’ve done.
Your messenger,

P. S. We just got a very good break on an Israel tour — $1450 complete, with New York departure. If you can join us send for a brochure without delay. We leave June 10th.
