Caption transcript for “Bearded Bible Banter”

  • 00:09 ♪♪♪ Joshua Colson: Hey everybody, I'm Joshua.
  • 00:10 Caleb Colson: And I'm Caleb.
  • 00:11 Joshua: And we are brothers. Caleb: Bearded Bible Brothers.
  • 00:13 Joshua: That's right.
  • 00:14 We have beards and we love the Bible and we have so many new
  • 00:17 initiatives in the works to not just service people with beards,
  • 00:21 but to service people of every age, demographic, and
  • 00:24 interest group.
  • 00:25 You know what that means?
  • 00:27 That means creating content that maybe Caleb and I personally
  • 00:28 don't necessarily understand.
  • 00:30 For instance, the podcast.
  • 00:32 Caleb: What is it?
  • 00:34 Joshua: I don't know what it is.
  • 00:35 I don't know why everybody loves them or how you can make
  • 00:37 hundreds of millions of dollars by having one of them.
  • 00:41 But you know what?
  • 00:42 For those of you who like to listen to people ramble on for
  • 00:44 hours and hours at a time while you drive needlessly in your car
  • 00:48 to the different destinations, we're making it for you, but
  • 00:50 we're bringing you information that is going to pique your
  • 00:53 interest about the gospel, about the end times, about where we're
  • 00:57 at, things you're gonna want to know.
  • 00:58 So you know what?
  • 01:00 Podcast it is.
  • 01:01 Caleb: We started "Bearded Bible Banter," our podcast that you
  • 01:04 can only watch on social media, and we have had so many amazing
  • 01:08 guests so far appear.
  • 01:09 I mean, Joshua Aaron, Chaim Malespin, Mondo Gonzales, Jeff
  • 01:15 Futers, all these amazing pro-Israel prophecy and other
  • 01:20 sort of things that we've talked about, and we wanna give our
  • 01:23 television audience just a taste of the amazing things that we
  • 01:28 have on social media.
  • 01:29 So this is gonna be a treat, "Bearded Bible Banter."
  • 01:33 Daniel Maritz: My story is more like the prodigal son.
  • 01:35 Even though I knew God existed, I never wanted to surrender, to
  • 01:40 submit under his authority.
  • 01:42 So I wanted to live for the world, and that's what I did,
  • 01:44 even with that.
  • 01:45 And then, my first brother died, he was killed in Johannesburg.
  • 01:48 I got angry towards God.
  • 01:50 My second brother died in my early 20s, and that's when God
  • 01:53 brought me back from England, sat next to his body and I
  • 01:57 just bawled.
  • 01:58 I cried and he said in my inner man, "Daniel, if you died, where
  • 02:00 would you have gone?"
  • 02:02 And I couldn't run away from truth any longer.
  • 02:04 I'm making this story very, very short, but for the first time, I
  • 02:08 prayed and said, "All right, God, I wanna have a real
  • 02:10 relationship with you, not just some religion that I'm trying
  • 02:13 to follow.
  • 02:14 I wanna know who you are, have a relationship with you and walk
  • 02:17 in that in the same way my dad did."
  • 02:20 And then I started to pray.
  • 02:22 "Okay, what do you want me to do with my life?
  • 02:23 Because if, you know, now I understand that I cannot run
  • 02:27 away from truth.
  • 02:28 I don't want to waste my life," and so I started to pray.
  • 02:30 He was silent.
  • 02:32 I started to study psychology because I wanted to help people
  • 02:34 and I realized, "Oh, this is not really lined up with the Bible
  • 02:37 a lot."
  • 02:39 And so what I did then is I waited and I prayed and then
  • 02:43 when I was in China of all places, he called me to share
  • 02:45 the gospel to all people, all nations, and I prayed about that
  • 02:50 more while I studied theology.
  • 02:52 And then, to make the story even more short, I don't know how
  • 02:55 much time you have, but he told me, hey, I can share the gospel
  • 03:00 online to all people, all nations, I can cross borders
  • 03:04 because we live in this day and age now where I don't have to
  • 03:06 physically travel.
  • 03:07 Not everybody, of course, have access to Internet, but a lot of
  • 03:11 people do.
  • 03:13 Caleb: Jeff, First Century Foundations, this is a ministry
  • 03:15 that's been around for some time, just like Zola
  • 03:18 Levitt Ministries.
  • 03:19 Tell me how it began and then how you got involved.
  • 03:23 Jeff Futers: Mm, well, it's-- the legacy of the ministry is in
  • 03:27 Canada, and we celebrated our 40th anniversary this year.
  • 03:32 We actually just, back in June.
  • 03:34 Just back in June, had our 40th anniversary gala and invited the
  • 03:38 founder to be there and was a great opportunity to share with
  • 03:43 people the story of First Century Foundations.
  • 03:45 And how it began was a passion to bless and pray for the land
  • 03:51 of Israel.
  • 03:52 And my predecessor, our founder, Reverend Clyde Williamson back
  • 03:57 in 1985, went to Israel and he met with a gentleman named Wayne
  • 04:02 Hilsden, who, a lot of Israel people know Wayne and Wayne is
  • 04:08 kind of the grandfather of evangelical ministry in
  • 04:11 Jerusalem, but we started there.
  • 04:15 Wayne said to Clyde, you know, Clyde said, "How can I help?"
  • 04:18 And Wayne said, "Well, why don't you just travel around the
  • 04:21 country and meet the leaders.
  • 04:23 Meet the ministry leaders here in Israel and find out how you
  • 04:26 can pray for them, how you can encourage them."
  • 04:29 That's how it began.
  • 04:30 Caleb: Back to you, Chaim.
  • 04:31 You are a sergeant major.
  • 04:33 You are in active duty right now.
  • 04:34 You have been since the beginning of this war starting
  • 04:38 October 7th, over 600 days.
  • 04:40 Joshua: He said 626, isn't that right?
  • 04:42 Caleb: That's a lot.
  • 04:43 What--are you still going into Gaza?
  • 04:45 Is the war still going on?
  • 04:46 What's, what's the story?
  • 04:48 Chaim Malespin: You know, there's a lot I could talk about
  • 04:51 and a lot of conspiracies that go around.
  • 04:54 You know, people say, "Was Iran just a peace-loving country?
  • 04:59 They weren't supporting terrorists in Hamas to
  • 05:01 massacre us.
  • 05:02 They weren't supporting Hezbollah to try to invade the
  • 05:04 Galilee and the all the hailstorm of hellfire of
  • 05:09 missiles upon our heads in the Galilee, on our kids, on--
  • 05:13 targeting civilians.
  • 05:15 They weren't those jihadist apocalyptic Sith lords in Iran
  • 05:21 orchestrating this, you know."
  • 05:22 That's a "Star Wars" reference.
  • 05:25 Joshua: He knows.
  • 05:26 Chaim: And then they're like, "Hey, you know, what if Israel
  • 05:30 just wants to fight everybody because Israel just woke up on
  • 05:33 the wrong side of bed and just wants--" and no, we're fighting
  • 05:37 for our lives in a place the size of New Jersey.
  • 05:40 Hey, conspiracy, I have an even more important question
  • 05:42 than those.
  • 05:44 Whether Fordow really was actually--maybe there was no
  • 05:47 nuclear weapons there.
  • 05:48 How do we even know your beards are real?
  • 05:50 These are nice looking beards.
  • 05:52 These beards are nice looking beards.
  • 05:55 Joshua: Who told him about the beards?
  • 05:56 This interview is over.
  • 05:58 Mondo Gonzales: Look, I was an atheist at one time.
  • 06:00 I got saved at 18 years old, so I wasn't raised as a Christian
  • 06:04 and so I began to be challenged by again the evidence and began
  • 06:09 to learn apologetics is like, well, where did we come from?
  • 06:12 And of course, I had a love of astronomy before I was ever a
  • 06:15 Christian and so to see all this come together that as a
  • 06:20 Christian we should not and dare not run from facts or science.
  • 06:27 If we understand it rightly, science and the creation by--
  • 06:31 the Scripture itself, tells us that it points to the veracity
  • 06:35 of God's existence and his again, his power and
  • 06:37 divine nature.
  • 06:38 Caleb: God is sovereign, but that the situation in Iran needs
  • 06:42 to be dealt with.
  • 06:43 What's your perspective on what you think Israel is gonna have
  • 06:47 to do and what it's gonna take to stop Iran?
  • 06:51 Joshua Aaron: Well, I know Israel was willing to do
  • 06:53 whatever it takes, but now, Big Brother America is involved,
  • 06:59 it's really encouraging actually.
  • 07:01 It's really encouraging for me as an American Israeli.
  • 07:04 I, you know, I was born in America.
  • 07:05 My mother's--my mother was born here in Israel in Haifa.
  • 07:08 I moved back to my mom's home country to raise my kids here,
  • 07:11 so I'm proud to be American Israeli today.
  • 07:14 I'm proud of both my countries.
  • 07:15 I'm proud of what Israel--what America stands for, and I'm okay
  • 07:20 with America saying we don't want to get into an eternal war.
  • 07:23 none of us want eternal, you know, long 20-30 year wars,
  • 07:28 especially, you know, me as an IDF soldier parent, my wife and
  • 07:31 I, we're on our second child in this war, the Iron Swords war.
  • 07:37 My son is in and out of Gaza.
  • 07:39 So we want these wars all to end.
  • 07:41 We just want peace, but we--we as Israelis, we have to make
  • 07:47 sure this doesn't happen again.
  • 07:49 I don't know how they're doing it.
  • 07:51 I don't know how anybody in their right mind can say,
  • 07:54 "River to the sea."
  • 07:55 I can't believe I'm living in this era.
  • 07:58 It's like just stepping over this most evil piece of history
  • 08:01 in modern history, October 7th, and ignoring that as if it never
  • 08:05 happened and then just talking about what's happening in Gaza
  • 08:07 right now, and it's blowing my mind.
  • 08:11 I'm really can't--I can't understand how we got here.
  • 08:14 All I know is that this is not new for our people.
  • 08:18 As you guys know, our people, the Jewish people, have been
  • 08:20 persecuted throughout history and it's just par for
  • 08:24 the course.
  • 08:25 I just didn't think--I thought we were in this democratic
  • 08:28 season of history, where, you know, I post something on
  • 08:33 the Internet.
  • 08:34 There's people are actually literally asking for the death
  • 08:36 of me or my people on social media.
  • 08:39 In England, they're arresting people for saying like things
  • 08:42 that are politically correct.
  • 08:45 But today, you know, I'm not saying we should arrest people
  • 08:47 for saying things necessarily, but it's quite atrocious what
  • 08:51 people are saying right now.
  • 08:53 Like, it's hard to believe we're alive during this era.
  • 08:56 Christian Widener: First of all, we know that the temple was
  • 08:58 located on the threshing floor of Aruna.
  • 09:02 That was how Solomon, or first, David was chosen.
  • 09:05 He made a sacrifice there, and then God told him this is where
  • 09:08 you'll build my temple, but not you, your son will do it.
  • 09:11 And then Solomon goes and faithfully builds the temple.
  • 09:14 But he builds it on the threshing floor of Aruna.
  • 09:17 We see that in 2 Chronicles 3:1.
  • 09:19 Caleb: Which is flat, right?
  • 09:21 Flat, circular.
  • 09:23 Christian: That's the key.
  • 09:24 So the key is if it's a threshing floor, threshing
  • 09:27 floors are flat.
  • 09:28 Threshing floors are flat stone areas where they drag a sled
  • 09:33 over with lots of flint rocks and it cuts and breaks up the
  • 09:36 grain so you can separate the wheat from the chaff and the
  • 09:40 heads of the wheat from the stalks.
  • 09:42 And that's, you know, a well known, you know, thousands of
  • 09:45 year process.
  • 09:46 It has to be done on flat rock.
  • 09:48 Then you look at the Dome of the Rock, and it's just this
  • 09:51 natural, you know, irregularly shaped rock that was never--
  • 09:55 obviously never flat because it's, you still see the natural
  • 09:59 rock surface on it.
  • 10:01 And so how could that be the place of the temple if it's not
  • 10:04 a flat rock?
  • 10:06 Like, yes, it's bedrock.
  • 10:07 But again, it not being flat just completely disqualifies it
  • 10:12 from having been a threshing floor.
  • 10:14 In the original part of the wall, there are two gate posts
  • 10:18 inside the golden gate, like everybody just sees the outside.
  • 10:22 But if you go to the inside of the Temple Mount, it's actually
  • 10:23 a building.
  • 10:25 And inside that building, there are two massive gateposts
  • 10:28 stone--stones.
  • 10:30 One is 15 feet tall, the other is 11 feet tall, and they're
  • 10:34 part of the wall.
  • 10:36 They're 6 feet wide, 3 feet deep, they weigh like 25 tons.
  • 10:41 They're the size of the stones at Stonehenge.
  • 10:45 You're like, that's a landmark.
  • 10:48 Like, that gate wasn't just built hastily or I mean, it's a
  • 10:52 massive construction and it's part of the entire wall, which
  • 10:55 we know is the oldest part of that wall.
  • 10:59 To me, if you have two landmarks, they're aligned, it
  • 11:02 matches the threshing floor, there really isn't any
  • 11:06 more debate.
  • 11:08 I call that prima facie evidence.
  • 11:14 Joshua Colson: Shalom, y'all, I'm Joshua.
  • 11:16 Caleb: I'm Caleb.
  • 11:17 Joshua: We are so excited because for so long we have had
  • 11:20 so much that we want to show you, but we've been unable to.
  • 11:24 Caleb: That's right, we're the Bearded Bible Brothers, and you
  • 11:26 may see our videos and stuff on social media, but we want you to
  • 11:30 be a part of our exclusive club called the Bearded
  • 11:33 Bible Bonanza.
  • 11:34 Joshua: That's right, and if you've ever wondered what a
  • 11:35 bonanza is, then you better sign up right now or go to the
  • 11:38 English dictionary, which also has the definition, but it's way
  • 11:41 cooler when you watch our stuff.
  • 11:42 Caleb: Videos, long lost solo recordings, interviews, and most
  • 11:46 importantly, the stuff that we keep getting shadow banned from
  • 11:49 on social media.
  • 11:50 So take that haters on social media.

  • 12:00 Joshua: I hear what you're asking me: "Joshua, what is a
  • 12:03 Bearded Bible Bonanza?"
  • 12:04 Well, the definition of a bonanza is a lot of a good
  • 12:07 thing, and that means you're getting a lot of the Bearded
  • 12:09 Bible Brothers.
  • 12:10 You know, you wanted a podcast.
  • 12:12 We can't put all that information on television.
  • 12:13 It's too long. We're limited.
  • 12:15 We're restricted. They tie our hands.
  • 12:17 We needed a platform where you could get everything.
  • 12:20 You could get behind the scenes.

  • 12:27 want it whenever you want it.
  • 12:29 That, my friends, is the Bearded Bible Bonanza, our
  • 12:32 subscription service.
  • 12:34 And do you know that not only do you benefit, but by subscribing
  • 12:37 you can benefit the ministry.
  • 12:39 You don't have to sit there and wonder, "Oh no, does my donation
  • 12:41 look too small?
  • 12:42 Does it look too big? I don't know what to do."
  • 12:43 You just subscribe.
  • 12:45 When you subscribe, you bless the ministry, but you get access
  • 12:47 to information, content, things you want to know that nobody
  • 12:50 else has access to unless they're subscribers too.
  • 12:53 Caleb: Man, I want to buy some now.
  • 12:54 Joshua: Yeah, you do. Caleb: Have a bonanza.
  • 12:56 Joshua: Give me 5 bucks. Caleb: I'll do that later.
  • 12:58 Caleb: Right now we're gonna head back to "Bearded Bible
  • 13:01 Banter," more of these amazing interviews
  • 13:03 that you can see on the Bonanza.
  • 13:05 Joshua: Ooh, boom boom boom boom, uh, uh, boom boom boom
  • 13:10 boom, Bearded Bible Bonanza.
  • 13:16 Caleb: It's very interesting when you're talking about
  • 13:18 technology, Daniel.
  • 13:20 God called us, you know, me at least, straight out of high
  • 13:22 school to go into television and film, because that's really--
  • 13:28 this was before the "Passion of the Christ," before there was
  • 13:31 quality Christian films being made, and he said, "You guys got
  • 13:35 to change the landscape of entertainment and have
  • 13:40 Christian entertainment."
  • 13:41 I was like, "Why, you know, entertainment?
  • 13:43 That's evil, you know."
  • 13:45 And one of our first days, we were in college and our
  • 13:49 professor, who was also, we learned, was a believer.
  • 13:52 He was the head of the department, told us this story
  • 13:55 about when the technology for television was first invented,
  • 13:59 these guys were so excited they brought it to their church, and
  • 14:02 they say, "Hey guys, we can record your messages, and
  • 14:05 they'll be there for all time.
  • 14:07 We can film them, and then people can watch them back again
  • 14:09 and again."
  • 14:10 And the church said, "No, that's evil, you know, the devil, you
  • 14:13 know, that's Satanism, witchcraft, you know."
  • 14:15 And they wouldn't accept that technology.
  • 14:17 So then they took that technology to the world and the
  • 14:19 world embraced it and now we have, you know, the garbage that
  • 14:22 we have, but you want to do something different.
  • 14:25 What's one of the methods that you're using technology
  • 14:28 coming up?
  • 14:29 I've heard of Ruach Entertainment.
  • 14:30 Can you explain that to me?
  • 14:33 Daniel: Yeah, yeah, you know, people are different, right?
  • 14:35 They learn things in different ways as well, but the enemy
  • 14:39 realized they can influence minds with entertainment.
  • 14:43 And it's been happening and I think we were just too late to
  • 14:47 the scene to share the gospel in a different way because it's
  • 14:50 just stories, right?
  • 14:52 If you watch TV series or movies, it's just full of
  • 14:56 amazing stories, but it's evil, most of it today.
  • 14:59 When you read the Bible, it's stories.
  • 15:02 Jesus, he shared the gospel with stories and so what we did is we
  • 15:06 looked at VARK, right?
  • 15:08 So V-A-R-K.
  • 15:09 Some people learn more visually, some people more audibly, some
  • 15:11 people can read and understand things better and then
  • 15:13 it's kinetic.
  • 15:15 And so what we do with DLM Christian Lifestyle and DLM
  • 15:17 Men's Lifestyle today is we show people the footage and they
  • 15:21 don't have to look at my boring face the whole time.
  • 15:22 We show, you know, if I read a Bible verse, I show the Bible
  • 15:25 verse so they can read it as well and we show some footage of
  • 15:28 the places that I'm talking about, but we are missing one
  • 15:30 part is kinetic, you know.
  • 15:31 If people do with their hands, they learn, and that's where
  • 15:34 games comes in.
  • 15:36 And people do not realize that over 3 billion people in the
  • 15:40 world play games, but it's mostly just full of darkness,
  • 15:44 full of evil.
  • 15:45 So the--well, let's start here.
  • 15:46 The gaming industry is bigger than the music industry and the
  • 15:49 filming industry combined.
  • 15:52 And people don't realize that.
  • 15:54 And so what we're gonna try to do is we're gonna share the
  • 15:56 gospel through games so that because games is again is just a
  • 16:00 different form of storytelling, but instead of watching the
  • 16:03 story, you engage with it.
  • 16:05 So imagine all those amazing stories, the battle scenes and
  • 16:08 everything in the Bible coming to life and you engage with it
  • 16:11 and you can reach now people who would never normally step foot
  • 16:14 inside of a church, but they come home and they want to
  • 16:16 escape the world.
  • 16:18 People go into different things, right, drugs and alcohol and
  • 16:20 also games.
  • 16:21 And but just for fun, people want to relax as well.
  • 16:24 But now, let's say they play a game and they play in the time
  • 16:26 of the Judges or they play in the time before the flood, and
  • 16:31 with it, there's, of course, stories that's being told while
  • 16:34 you play it.
  • 16:35 I mean, there's a storyline, there's quests that you have
  • 16:37 to do.
  • 16:38 So, that's what we're gonna do at Ruach Entertainment.
  • 16:40 We started that.
  • 16:42 Ruach, as you guys probably know, you know, is the breath of
  • 16:44 God, the Spirit of God, because we wanna create spiritual games
  • 16:47 that change lives.
  • 16:49 Jeff: In 2008, it was my second trip to Israel.
  • 16:52 I was actually at King of Kings there in Jerusalem and at the
  • 16:56 prayer tower.
  • 16:58 And there were about 6 or 8 of us from our group, and some of
  • 17:01 them were over by the keyboard, singing and worshiping.
  • 17:04 I was actually hanging out the windows, taking photos and, you
  • 17:07 know, not really paying much attention to what was going
  • 17:08 on, honestly.
  • 17:10 And, God did something.
  • 17:13 I, like, I, what else can I say, except I was like, just
  • 17:16 absolutely overwhelmed by the presence of God, the power of
  • 17:20 the Holy Spirit, and I found myself weeping over the city.
  • 17:24 And I thought what is this?
  • 17:25 This is bizarre. It's strange.
  • 17:27 As a matter of fact, I kind of sidled over to the worship group
  • 17:30 so that they wouldn't all think I was having a complete
  • 17:32 mental breakdown.
  • 17:34 Caleb: Why is he crying and huddled in the ground.
  • 17:37 Joshua: It's okay.
  • 17:38 I've seen Caleb do the same thing in Jerusalem before, so
  • 17:40 it's okay.
  • 17:41 Jeff: Yes, yes, yes.
  • 17:42 So, anyhow, God spoke to me that night and I went back to
  • 17:44 the hotel.
  • 17:45 My wife, Sharon, hadn't come with me to the King of Kings
  • 17:48 that evening, and I went back to the hotel.
  • 17:49 She said, "How'd it go?"
  • 17:51 And I said, "Well, something happened to me and it has to do
  • 17:54 with us and ministry in Israel."
  • 17:56 And that was her first trip to Israel.
  • 17:59 And so her response was kind of like, "Oh, really?"
  • 18:03 You know, she wasn't really so sure about all of this yet, but
  • 18:07 over the years, you know, God has worked in her heart as well.
  • 18:11 Chaim: I was looking at "Star Wars," okay, so "Star Wars" has
  • 18:15 either there's a Sith, and I sometimes think of the
  • 18:18 Ayatollahs as Siths.
  • 18:19 They're these--they're trying to build this Death Star,
  • 18:21 they're trying to, you know, they're just destroy those the
  • 18:26 keepers of the light, the keepers of, you know, they're
  • 18:29 trying to--they really want Israel gone first.
  • 18:31 They want the--so when you have this prophecy, there's a
  • 18:34 prophecy, by the way, which says there's gonna be someone born
  • 18:36 with no father, and he's going to destroy the Sith and bring
  • 18:39 balance to the Force, in short, okay?
  • 18:42 That's prophecy, it's not in the Bible, in--.
  • 18:45 Caleb: "Star Wars," yeah.
  • 18:47 Joshua: Caleb is so happy right now that you're doing this, by
  • 18:49 the way.
  • 18:50 This is his favorite movie ever.
  • 18:53 Chaim: What is when this, quote, unquote, "Messiah," Anakin,
  • 18:57 quote, unquote "Messiah," what happens is right away goes after
  • 19:01 to deceive him.
  • 19:02 I know we're talking about a movie, but it's telling a real
  • 19:04 thing that's happening right now.
  • 19:05 That they, the Siths try to deceive him.
  • 19:08 What is good?
  • 19:10 Isaiah chapter 5, verse what, 2? They call good evil and evil
  • 19:13 good, and they try to deceive.
  • 19:15 The Bible says, what, Matthew 24?
  • 19:17 What is it?
  • 19:18 "Do not be deceived."
  • 19:20 Do not be deceived.
  • 19:21 That's before the wars and rumors of wars, and there's
  • 19:23 gonna be coming this thing.
  • 19:24 And so what does Anakin, what does he do?
  • 19:27 He goes and tries to wipe out every chance for the seed of
  • 19:31 hope to survive.
  • 19:32 He goes there and he goes to the Jedi and he kills
  • 19:35 the younglings.
  • 19:36 Why does he do that?
  • 19:38 Why in the world does he do that?
  • 19:40 Because he doesn't want there to be a hope, he doesn't want the
  • 19:43 prophecy to ever be fulfilled.
  • 19:45 He doesn't want the redeemer to come.
  • 19:48 In that case it's Luke and the whole thing.
  • 19:50 He doesn't want the seed of hope.
  • 19:51 The same thing with Pharaoh, the same thing with Haman
  • 19:54 from Persia.
  • 19:55 It's like a, I mean, I know I'm using a movie, but it's a
  • 19:58 real thing.
  • 19:59 It's a real thing.
  • 20:00 It's real history and the real reality today.
  • 20:02 They don't want--Herod doesn't want one--Pharaoh doesn't want
  • 20:06 one baby to survive because that could be the seed of hope, the
  • 20:11 great Redeemer.
  • 20:12 Caleb: You have a vast pedigree, you've been a pastor, you're an
  • 20:15 author, archaeologist, what else am I missing?
  • 20:18 What all have you done?
  • 20:20 Mondo: You know, the other thing that we--that I'm in charge of
  • 20:23 is the what we call the Psalm 19 Project, you know, "The heavens
  • 20:27 declare the glory of God and the skies above show his handiwork."
  • 20:29 So, a few years ago, and for, you know, my love of astronomy,
  • 20:35 Gary Stearman's love of astronomy, we wanted to create,
  • 20:41 again, this project that would share the glories and the
  • 20:44 majesties of God in that in photographing the heavens.
  • 20:47 So we have a university class observatory, we have three
  • 20:51 different telescopes there, and then we also have--we've
  • 20:56 broadened the project where we have an observatory in Virginia
  • 20:59 as well as one in Idaho, which helps us, and so it's
  • 21:03 been phenomenal.
  • 21:05 And if people go to psalm19project.com, it'll bring
  • 21:09 you to really the description of the project as well as all of
  • 21:13 our pictures are free.
  • 21:14 They're extremely high quality, high definition.
  • 21:18 It's amazing.
  • 21:19 I tell people download these and just zoom in.
  • 21:21 It just keeps going and going and going, and so all for free,
  • 21:26 put them on and we have calendars and stuff, but it's--
  • 21:28 to me, you know what, God is awesome and to have the
  • 21:32 opportunity, which I believe we're probably the only specific
  • 21:36 Christian ministry that I know of that is doing this at this
  • 21:39 level, specifically to glorify God and to see that these are
  • 21:43 things that God created, which for most of human history, no
  • 21:47 one's ever seen them.
  • 21:48 No one's ever seen these things, but yet we have the privilege of
  • 21:51 being able to photograph them with the technology that is
  • 21:55 now accessible.
  • 21:56 We don't need Hubble.
  • 21:57 We can do it ourselves.
  • 21:59 Joshua: I know you got limited time, from where you're at, from
  • 22:01 what you've seen, from who you've been speaking with and
  • 22:05 for your own family, what would you request out of people here
  • 22:08 in America?
  • 22:09 What would be the tenet you'd want to leave us with for prayer
  • 22:12 for the next steps for Israel?
  • 22:15 Joshua Aaron: Well, I really would wish I, you know,
  • 22:18 I'm okay.
  • 22:19 My kids are great.
  • 22:20 You pray for our family, it's great, especially my son.
  • 22:23 I'll be a little selfish, my son Shuki, who's heading back to his
  • 22:25 base tomorrow morning, but I do, I will tell you, most of our
  • 22:31 friends, Jewish believers and non-believers, kind of feel, I
  • 22:35 guess until Señor Trump sent a special package to over our
  • 22:41 skies here, we especially felt alone and still do and
  • 22:47 mainstream Christianity, just encourage the church, even if
  • 22:49 you want to try to wrap your brain around the whole picture,
  • 22:52 that's fine, but please, silence is really, it really hurts,
  • 22:56 you know?
  • 22:58 From hearing a lot of my Jewish friends and believing Jewish
  • 23:02 friends, that they really haven't heard much talk.
  • 23:06 I'm in the Christian music industry, sort of.
  • 23:09 I'm one of those weird Messianic singers, but I don't hear many--
  • 23:12 I don't see almost any Christian singers mentioning Israel, even
  • 23:16 just saying we're praying for Israel on their social media.
  • 23:19 I think they're all worried about politics, but maybe we
  • 23:23 haven't shared it properly.
  • 23:24 And I'm not saying people should worry about us more than anybody
  • 23:27 else, but it's just an obvious thing that's been skipped over
  • 23:31 in this moment in history that it's gonna be hard to forget.
  • 23:36 I'll still love everybody for sure.
  • 23:38 It's gonna be hard to forget.
  • 23:39 I'll tell you that.
  • 23:40 But also, just to continue to pray and pray for Israel and
  • 23:43 pray for real peace that comes through the prince of
  • 23:46 peace, Yeshua.
  • 23:48 Sal Shalom, the prince of peace, who can bring peace to Gaza.
  • 23:51 Hirchie Schaffner: In the Western church, we're just
  • 23:52 enjoying our lives and we're comfortable.
  • 23:55 I mean, we're sitting here, you know, in a safe space to talk
  • 23:58 about the Lord, to talk about, you know, Christianity, and
  • 24:02 there are right now believers that are chained up, that are
  • 24:05 being martyred, and it's easy to lose track of that and I think
  • 24:08 that is what's so important for us as the body.
  • 24:13 There was a minister, Adrian Rogers.
  • 24:15 He was the pastor of Bellevue Baptist, so it's like a mega
  • 24:19 church in Memphis, Tennessee, or Germantown, in that area.
  • 24:23 And when we used to live there, we called it Fort God because
  • 24:26 it's just massive, you know?
  • 24:28 But Adrian Rogers was quoted as saying, I actually heard him say
  • 24:32 it one time.
  • 24:33 He said, "These third world nations have been blessed with
  • 24:35 cursings because when they need something, they have to rely
  • 24:38 on God."
  • 24:40 They don't have healthcare.
  • 24:41 They don't have, you know, they don't have supplements, they
  • 24:43 don't have welfare and so they have to rely on God.
  • 24:45 He said, "America has been cursed with blessings."
  • 24:49 Joshua Colson: I've never heard it put that way, but that's
  • 24:51 literally what I've preached my entire life because I've been in
  • 24:54 all those third world countries and I've seen the miracles that
  • 24:56 take place and people are always like, "Why, why?"
  • 24:58 Because they are desperate.
  • 25:00 They don't have a backup plan. They don't have a 401(k.)
  • 25:02 They don't have Medicare, healthcare, all the things that
  • 25:03 people, you know, are up in arms about today.
  • 25:07 They're young, they have no family.
  • 25:10 They have younger brothers and sisters that are dependent
  • 25:12 upon them.
  • 25:14 If this God isn't real, they die.
  • 25:17 And so when you say he is and you say he loves them and all
  • 25:19 you have to do is surrender, they're jumping at it and what a
  • 25:23 shame that the largest nation on the planet founded in his name,
  • 25:28 like you said, has gotten to a point where our blessings have
  • 25:30 become a curse to us because of complacency.
  • 25:33 Shame on all of us.
  • 25:34 It happens to us too, and you, you go to places like Damascus
  • 25:38 and you go to these other countries and you realize, wow,
  • 25:42 I complain about a lot of things that the bad things I'm
  • 25:46 complaining about are so much better than the good things that
  • 25:49 these people have.
  • 25:50 Joshua: It is time to wrap up, but we're not finished yet.
  • 25:52 Why?
  • 25:53 Because there's so many incredible things that this
  • 25:55 ministry has been doing to further the gospel of Yeshua for
  • 25:57 over 45 years, and we are not done yet.
  • 26:01 These initiatives that we've shown you are a small piece of
  • 26:03 our heart, of what we are working tirelessly to commit to
  • 26:06 the gospel, to get as many people saved before his return,
  • 26:09 but there's even more that this ministry does, and you can be a
  • 26:12 part of supporting us.
