  • 00:05 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved,
  • 00:12 for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
  • 00:14 for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
  • 00:39 Welcome to Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:41 I'm Kirsten Hart.
  • 00:42 And I'm David Hart
  • 00:43 We are so glad you have joined us
  • 00:44 for our brand new series, "Watch Therefore",
  • 00:47 where we are to be aware of prophetic fulfillment,
  • 00:50 to live expectantly,
  • 00:52 and to always be ready for Messiah's return.
  • 00:55 We have a brand new face here
  • 00:56 on Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:58 Dov Schwarz is our new
  • 01:00 special Guest Teacher from Israel.
  • 01:02 He will be teaching us every week on this series.
  • 01:06 We have Guest Analyst Mark Hitchcock.
  • 01:09 He will be with us right here in the studio every week.
  • 01:13 A weekly Hebrew Lesson,
  • 01:15 and Chaim Malespin is back with us.
  • 01:17 He's almost like a regular on our program now.
  • 01:20 Right now let's go to Dov in Tiberias.
  • 01:29 [Dov blowing the Shofar]
  • 01:38 The sound of the Ram's Horn
  • 01:42 like when Abraham was on the mountain with Isaac
  • 01:47 and the ram's horn was caught in the thicket.
  • 01:49 This reminds us of God's Covenant promises with His people.
  • 01:56 It's so important especially in this hour in which we live
  • 02:01 to understand the Lord's Covenants.
  • 02:05 I'm going to start with the Abraham Covenant today
  • 02:09 which we find in Genesis Chapter 12
  • 02:12 where the Lord makes Seven Promises with Father Abraham
  • 02:17 the Father of our Faith.
  • 02:18 He says,
  • 02:42 That 7th Promise is a Promise to the Nations,
  • 02:45 those who believe and come into the Covenant with the God of Israel.
  • 02:50 I'll get more specific about that in a moment.
  • 02:54 We also see the Nation that Adonai promises Father Abraham
  • 03:00 and the blessings and the cursings associated with those promises.
  • 03:05 Well those promises are passed from Abraham to Isaac,
  • 03:10 from Isaac to Jacob.
  • 03:14 And Jacob's name is changed to what?
  • 03:16 That's right - "Israel".
  • 03:19 And these promises go to Israel, the children of Israel,
  • 03:24 the descendants of a man named "Israel".
  • 03:28 Now, in Genesis 15 we see this in verse 18,
  • 03:39 What this means is that the Lord cut a Covenant with Abraham.
  • 03:43 The word "made" there is " karat ".
  • 03:47 It's where we get the idea to cut a blood Covenant.
  • 03:52 This is the first Covenant I want to talk to you about today
  • 03:56 and is a foundation for our faith from which we can build.
  • 04:01 It's so important in a world that's tossing back and forth
  • 04:05 and going what I call "Ten kinds of crazy"
  • 04:09 to understand the Lord's Promises to His people
  • 04:12 and how Bible Prophecy then fulfills those Promises.
  • 04:17 If we understand Covenant and Prophecy
  • 04:20 we understand our whole Bible.
  • 04:24 And we're going to need wisdom and understanding for this generation.
  • 04:28 We'll be back in just a moment.
  • 04:36 We've got an uphill battle
  • 04:38 because we live in a
  • 04:40 "sound bite - tweeting" culture.
  • 04:43 But if we can encourage people to get back in the Word of God,
  • 04:47 it really does mold and shape you.
  • 04:49 The Bible is the Lamp to our feet and a Light to our path.
  • 04:51 It's the only standard for our beliefs, attitudes and practices.
  • 04:54 It's a the stake in the ground
  • 04:56 in a very shifting world.
  • 05:01 I get this question,
  • 05:02 Brother Perkins, How do you know
  • 05:03 that Bible is the correct book?
  • 05:05 What about the Quran?
  • 05:07 What about the Book of Mormon?
  • 05:08 How do you know that Bible is the correct one?
  • 05:11 Well, the way we know that is because of the Prophetic Word.
  • 05:14 We have a Bible that has been written centuries old,
  • 05:18 but it's like reading a current day newspaper.
  • 05:21 This proves to me the validity of this Book.
  • 05:24 This Word of God is true,
  • 05:26 and again, as we see those indicators we know that it's true.
  • 05:30 Well this is hard
  • 05:32 for Americans to accept,
  • 05:34 but did not consider the USA
  • 05:36 important enough to mention
  • 05:37 anywhere in Scripture,
  • 05:38 and the USA plays no mention roll in Bible prophesy.
  • 05:42 I'm not going to try to guess what happens with the USA,
  • 05:46 that's in God's hands,
  • 05:47 but I do know that literally all nations will turn against the Jews eventually.
  • 05:51 If there is a USA at that point in time I'll include the USA,
  • 05:56 but that's a problem that we're facing,
  • 06:00 and the more secular that American society has become,
  • 06:04 the less pro-Israel is becoming.
  • 06:13 We are thankful to have such prominent Bible teachers,
  • 06:16 and prophecy experts here on our program.
  • 06:19 Yes, so much about prophecy is in our Bible.
  • 06:22 We hope that you are reading about what's to come.
  • 06:25 Now let's go to Chaim Malespin in Israel
  • 06:34 Here we are at one of my favorite spots in the Land of Israel, Shiloh ,
  • 06:38 ancient [ She low ] as we say in Hebrew.
  • 06:41 Yeah, we're in the Heartland of Israel.
  • 06:43 Some would call it the "West Bank".
  • 06:44 The Bible calls it "Judea and Samaria",
  • 06:46 The Heartland of Israel where 83% of the Bible happened,
  • 06:50 everything from the sun standing still to many different things,
  • 06:54 including where the capital of Israel used to be before Jerusalem.
  • 06:59 You remember when Joshua and the Tribes is that in the book of Joshua 18:1
  • 07:05 It says,
  • 07:16 Here is where they set up the Tabernacle.
  • 07:18 Here is where Hannah prayed for a son, when she was barren,
  • 07:21 and then God granted her Samuel.
  • 07:24 I myself felt led when I had my first born son, Matiah, born in Israel.
  • 07:31 I said, You know what? I need to bring him here and dedicate him to the
  • 07:33 service of the King, here in the Land of Israel.
  • 07:37 It's truly amazing to see the title deed being uncovered every day,
  • 07:41 as volunteers from all over the world come and dig
  • 07:45 and see shards made by ancient Israel 3,500 years ago,
  • 07:50 even to the time of Abraham.
  • 07:52 This is amazing.

  • 09:50 Now let's go back to our teaching in Israel
  • 09:52 from Dov Schwarz.
  • 09:59 The next Covenant I want to share with you
  • 10:02 we get some hints about it in the Gospels.
  • 10:07 As Messiah, Yeshua our Lord Jesus is walking through the streets in Jerusalem
  • 10:13 and a man cries out to Him, who was blind,
  • 10:17 blind Bartimaeus.
  • 10:19 And what does he cry out?
  • 10:21 "Oh Son of David have mercy on me."
  • 10:27 Why does he do that?
  • 10:29 Because Messiah Yeshua will be King Yeshua.
  • 10:35 He is the Son of David from the "David Covenant".
  • 10:39 We find this initially in II Samuel Chapter 7 beginning in verse 12.
  • 11:05 So the prophet Nathan downloaded by the Ruach HaKodesh , the Holy Spirit
  • 11:11 speaks to King David and says, "You will have an Eternal Son
  • 11:16 that will have and Eternal Throne."
  • 11:19 And that's called "The Throne of David".
  • 11:21 I have a question for you.
  • 11:23 Where is Messiah Yeshua today?
  • 11:28 Well the Bible says in Revelation 3
  • 11:30 that He's sitting next to our father in heaven.
  • 11:33 Where is He sitting next to our Father in Heaven?
  • 11:36 On our Father's Throne.
  • 11:38 Why isn't Messiah Yeshua sitting
  • 11:41 on His own throne right now?
  • 11:43 Here's why.
  • 11:45 He's waiting to return to Jerusalem to build a Temple, a glorious new Temple.
  • 11:52 You can find it in Ezekiel 40 through 48.
  • 11:56 And then He will enter into the Eastern Gate of that Temple.
  • 12:00 It's in Ezekiel 43 where the prophet Ezekiel sees
  • 12:04 the Glory of Adonai coming through the Eastern Gate.
  • 12:08 And what does he then do?
  • 12:10 He sits upon His Glorious Throne,
  • 12:14 the Throne of David in Jerusalem.
  • 12:18 Covenant
  • 12:19 and Prophecy,
  • 12:21 His Promises
  • 12:23 and His Fulfillment.
  • 12:25 Oh, and we are living in an hour
  • 12:28 where these things are about to come to pass.
  • 12:31 If you understand Covenant
  • 12:33 and you understand Prophecy
  • 12:35 you know your Bible
  • 12:38 and you know the True and the Living God.
  • 12:41 There's more.
  • 12:42 Don't go away.
  • 12:49 When Israel comes to fulfill its destiny
  • 12:52 When Messiah comes He will reign
  • 12:54 from Jerusalem on a Throne
  • 12:56 which is connected with the Temple Mount.
  • 12:58 We see this in Isaiah Chapter 2, verses 2-4.
  • 13:02 It's the culmination of all the great promises.
  • 13:04 Just as Moses went to Mount Sinai to receive the Law,
  • 13:09 and said Israel is to be a light to the nations,
  • 13:11 ultimately we get the revelation of them.
  • 13:13 One day Messiah will come on Mount Zion
  • 13:17 bringing the Law through Israel to the Gentile nations,
  • 13:21 and reign in that place as well.
  • 13:23 So all of these that comes full circle
  • 13:26 with the prophesies in the Old Testament.
  • 13:29 So, from 586 B.C. all the way to the
  • 13:33 Second Coming of Jesus to the earth to reign as King,
  • 13:38 we have the times of the Gentiles.
  • 13:41 It's a time when there is no Jewish king sitting on the Throne of David.
  • 13:46 Jesus Christ is coming back.
  • 13:48 He's going to sit on the Throne of David
  • 13:51 ruling Israel and the whole world from Jerusalem.
  • 13:55 And we're told in Ezekiel that He will sit on His Throne in the millennial Temple.
  • 14:10 Our resource this week is the series,
  • 14:13 "Called Together, Jew and Gentile One in Messiah"
  • 14:17 on DVD.
  • 14:18 David and Kirsten Hart
  • 14:20 present the teachings of
  • 14:21 Eitan Shishkoff.
  • 14:23 These 8 programs show how
  • 14:25 both sides of the Body of Messiah
  • 14:27 are grafted together.
  • 14:29 We also have interviews,
  • 14:30 location reports,
  • 14:32 Hebrew Lessons,

  • 15:29 It's going to be just a great trip.
  • 15:31 Join us.
  • 15:32 Now let's go to Israel for our Hebrew Lesson.
  • 15:42 Shalom Havarim
  • 15:43 One of the more common words you're
  • 15:45 going to hear in Israel and use in Hebrew
  • 15:48 is the word " beseder " which means "okay".
  • 15:51 So if somebody asks you, How are you?
  • 15:54 You can say, beseder .
  • 15:56 Now, the funny thing is that it actually means "in order".
  • 15:59 So, when you say, "I'm okay",
  • 16:01 what you're actually saying is "I'm in order".
  • 16:04 Now you can also use it as a question,
  • 16:07 "Are you okay?"
  • 16:09 So if you were going to ask a guy,
  • 16:11 you would say, ata beseder ?
  • 16:13 If you were to ask a girl
  • 16:15 you would say, at beseder ?
  • 16:18 So check around, look around,
  • 16:20 make sure everything is in order,
  • 16:21 and you can say, ani beseder .
  • 16:26 We hope you're enjoying these Hebrew Lessons
  • 16:28 as much as we are,
  • 16:29 so Kirsten, here's a question for you.
  • 16:31 Yes David?
  • 16:32 How is everything?
  • 16:33 Beseder !
  • 16:34 Very good!
  • 16:35 It's good, always good!
  • 16:35 All is good.
  • 16:37 I think the interesting thing about Hebrew,
  • 16:38 in the little bit of studying that I'm doing,
  • 16:41 is this word ends in an "er",
  • 16:43 and we're so used to saying "er" here,
  • 16:45 but the "r" in Hebrew,
  • 16:47 and I'm not an expert,
  • 16:48 you kind of throw it away,
  • 16:50 beseder ,
  • 16:51 it's a little... it'd s teeny "r".
  • 16:53 That sounds right.
  • 16:54 How are you?
  • 16:54 BesedER
  • 16:56 You said, sed er !
  • 16:58 Now let's go back to Israel to hear
  • 16:59 from our teacher for this whole series,
  • 17:01 Dov Schwarz
  • 17:09 One of the things I'm privileged to do
  • 17:12 is to travel across Africa with the Gospel and teaching the Bible.
  • 17:17 And one of the things I do are
  • 17:18 Bible Conferences with Pastors.
  • 17:22 And I have led Pastor Conferences with 500 Leaders before
  • 17:29 and asked the question that I'm about to ask you.
  • 17:31 I don't know if any of them have answered it correctly.
  • 17:34 They answered with many good answers
  • 17:37 but I believe this is the most accurate one
  • 17:39 that I'm going to share with you after I ask the question.
  • 17:42 Here it is.
  • 17:43 With whom did the Lord Yeshua make the new Covenant?
  • 17:47 With whom did Messiah Jesus make the new covenant?
  • 17:53 And without wasting any time I'll just tell you the answer.
  • 17:56 Actually, I'm going to read the answer to you
  • 17:59 in Jeremiah 31 beginning in verse 31.
  • 18:14 You see, when I do these conferences and I ask the question
  • 18:18 they have so many answers.
  • 18:21 And then when I tell them,
  • 18:24 "It's right here in your Bible."
  • 18:26 "Read Jeremiah 31."
  • 18:27 They read it like I just did and then they look up with amazement.
  • 18:34 They had no idea that the new Covenant was made with Israel.
  • 18:40 But it's true!
  • 18:41 You have at the Passover Seder before going to the Cross to
  • 18:45 shed the Blood of the new Covenant, the Lamb of God.
  • 18:49 John the Baptist...
  • 18:50 I have close Baptist friends but John the Baptist wasn't a Baptist.
  • 18:53 John the Baptist had said, "Behold the Lamb of God" about Messiah Jesus.
  • 18:58 And there the Jewish Messiah is with a Jewish Cup of Redemption
  • 19:01 from the Jewish Passover Seder with Jewish Apostles.
  • 19:04 The whole thing sounds kinda Jewish doesn't it?
  • 19:07 And he says, "Behold the Blood of the "B'rit Hadashah", the "New Covenant".
  • 19:16 And then the Pastors ask, "Well where do we fit in?
  • 19:19 It's a great question.
  • 19:21 In Romans 11, in Ephesians 2
  • 19:24 we see the Gentiles who believe in Messiah Jesus are grafted-in to
  • 19:28 many of the Covenant Promises given to Israel
  • 19:33 and become in Ephesians 2 part of the Commonwealth of Israel.
  • 19:37 Yes, the New Covenant is made with the Jewish people
  • 19:41 and with any Gentile in the World who will
  • 19:45 put their faith in the Lamb of God, Messiah Yeshua
  • 19:50 and who will be grafted into their Promises.
  • 19:55 Have you believed in the Lamb of God, Messiah Yeshua?
  • 19:59 Have you come into Covenant with Him?
  • 20:02 The Bible says whoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • 20:07 Call upon His Name
  • 20:09 and be grafted-in today.
  • 20:17 Listen, we are the family of God
  • 20:20 as we go further into the end time,
  • 20:22 we will be together.
  • 20:24 You know, I'm looking forward to the day when
  • 20:26 we step into the millennial kingdom together.
  • 20:28 It's going to be wonderful.
  • 20:30 And we ought to spend that time with our Savior,
  • 20:33 Jew and Gentile family of God.
  • 20:36 Listen, I thank God for what the Word of God predicts for our future.
  • 20:41 That gives me such a peace in these end times,
  • 20:46 as I see all the chaos, and everything that goes on,
  • 20:50 but my safety is in the authority of this Book,
  • 20:54 and I judge everything, I see and hear based on the authority of this Book.
  • 20:58 And if you do that, you won't go astray.
  • 21:08 We are honored to have back on this program,
  • 21:11 Dr. Mark Hitchcock, who has many titles.
  • 21:14 You are a Pastor, a Professor, an Author,
  • 21:20 Expert in prophecy.
  • 21:22 We're so glad you're back with us today.
  • 21:25 Well thank you, it's great to be back with you.
  • 21:26 I know you're on sabbatical right now,
  • 21:28 so thank you, extra thank you, for joining us.
  • 21:31 Well it's just ending so I'm back in the pulpit.
  • 21:34 Tell us about your church.
  • 21:36 It's Faith Bible Church in Edmond, Oklahoma,
  • 21:39 and my wife and I have been there for 25 years.
  • 21:41 That's why we got the Sabbatical this summer.
  • 21:43 They let us have this summer off
  • 21:45 which is really wonderful.
  • 21:47 We've been there for 25 years,
  • 21:48 raised our sons there.
  • 21:49 It's a wonderful church, great group of people.
  • 21:52 We just love being there,
  • 21:54 and really a Pastor never had a better group of people to shepherd
  • 21:57 than Faith Bible Church,
  • 21:58 they've been a wonderful to us through the years.
  • 22:01 They give me the opportunity to go down to Dallas Seminary and teach,
  • 22:03 they give me the freedom to do that,
  • 22:05 so, just our Elders, our staff, the people there,
  • 22:07 it's just been a wonderful place to be,
  • 22:09 and we hope we have another 25 years there.
  • 22:11 Our series is on prophecy,
  • 22:13 and I know that you're an expert,
  • 22:15 if we can be experts in what the Lord has for us.
  • 22:19 How did that come about in your life,
  • 22:21 that you thought this is what my passion is?
  • 22:24 Well, when I was in my early 20's,
  • 22:26 I became a believer as a young boy
  • 22:28 watching Billy Graham on television,
  • 22:30 and lived for the Lord for some years,
  • 22:32 but like a lot of people,
  • 22:34 kind of wandered away for a period of time,
  • 22:35 and then came back and began to really study the Bible.
  • 22:37 And I was reading through the Bible,
  • 22:39 and I found that there was huge parts of the Bible.
  • 22:40 When I got in them I was just totally lost,
  • 22:42 I didn't know what I was reading.
  • 22:44 So I started studying Bible prophecy with an older man,
  • 22:48 really, just so I could understand the Bible.
  • 22:51 So when people ask me why I love Bible prophecy,
  • 22:53 I tell them, because I love the Bible.
  • 22:55 Almost 30% of the Bible was prophecy at the time it was written,
  • 22:58 so to me, if you love the Bible, you love prophecy.
  • 23:01 And so really I just began to study it
  • 23:02 so I could put together the various pieces of the Bible,
  • 23:06 and I just kind of got hooked on it at that point in time,
  • 23:09 and just saw how good and valuable it is at
  • 23:11 helping me put the Bible together,
  • 23:13 and so I just never stopped my interest in it.
  • 23:15 You're an Author.
  • 23:17 How many books have you written?
  • 23:19 Over 30 books.
  • 23:21 It's been a real privilege to have
  • 23:23 some different publishers that allowed me to
  • 23:25 publish books in prophecy.
  • 23:26 If you have a heartbeat in the prophetic,
  • 23:29 what is your heartbeat that you want people to know,
  • 23:33 or Zola Levitt people watching the program today?
  • 23:36 Do you have one, I know there's so much,
  • 23:39 a heartbeat that you're saying,
  • 23:41 I want you to know this about prophecy.
  • 23:44 Well I think the number one thing is
  • 23:46 that Jesus could come back at any moment.
  • 23:48 We believe in the eminent return of Jesus.
  • 23:49 That we're that close.
  • 23:50 Yeah, He could come back at any moment,
  • 23:52 and we need to live that way,
  • 23:53 and I think very few Christians do.
  • 23:55 Jesus told us to be watching,
  • 23:58 all the Apostles told us to be watching.
  • 24:01 The Apostle Paul in I Thessalonians 1:10,
  • 24:03 says, Be waiting up for His Son from heaven.
  • 24:06 So we're to be like someone
  • 24:07 waiting up at night for someone to get home.
  • 24:09 We've been watching for a lot of years.
  • 24:11 We have been, that's right.
  • 24:13 And a lot of people because of that have
  • 24:14 said He's not going to come back and
  • 24:16 they've kind of become apathetic towards that,
  • 24:19 but it's really the heartbeat of the Church
  • 24:22 to be waiting for their Bridegroom to come and to take His Bride.
  • 24:25 The Bible, I believe says it can happen at any moment,
  • 24:28 and we need to be ready.
  • 24:29 So nothing is hindering it right now,
  • 24:31 there's nothing else that needs to be checked off.
  • 24:32 That's right.
  • 24:34 The Rapture, I believe is the next event on God's prophetic calendar.
  • 24:37 It could happen at any moment.
  • 24:38 And this series is going to really help us open our eyes
  • 24:40 I think to what's happening even today with prophecy.
  • 24:44 It could happen at any moment,
  • 24:45 but I think as we see all these signs taking place in our world,
  • 24:48 I say the signs are kind of like
  • 24:50 runway lights that are lighting up,
  • 24:53 preparing the way for the coming of the Messiah.
  • 24:55 So we have every reason today to be
  • 24:58 way more expectant and ready than any past generation.
  • 25:01 We're excited to hear so much
  • 25:03 more from you in this series.
  • 25:05 You need to stay tuned for each program "Watch Therefore".
