Dear Reader,
Greetings from Jerusalem—the City of the Great King!
If you follow today’s news and our television program, Zola Levitt Presents, you know that things on our planet are heating up, speeding up, and looking up! We followers of Yeshua and His Word—the entire Bible—rejoice amid the mishigas (Yiddish for craziness) that is overtaking the world.
Katharine and I just completed two weeks of television production here in God’s covenant Land. With our faithful crew from Berg Productions, we covered a lot of ground (literally) and topical material. Always planning ahead, we try to shoot segments for future series, and this trip held to that pattern. We updated the Feasts of the Lord (our programs, not the Biblical mandates!) and added some stand-alone programs on Shavuot (Pentecost), Purim (Esther’s season), and the Fall Feasts (Trumpets, Atonement, and Booths). We included some awesome interviews and messages from Israeli Believers and even from their children. Watch for some surprising and touching moments on upcoming broadcasts.
Making judicious use of your donations, we also prepared for our pending spring 2016 series — working title: Out of the Ashes/L’Chaim! The overall intention is to tell the story of Israel’s restoration after the horrors of the Holocaust. To that end, we journeyed to the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem’s Haifa home for Holocaust survivors. ICEJ is one of the many organizations that Zola Levitt Ministries supports in the Land and a recipient of our benevolence funds for many years. The interviews with two of the home’s residents were extremely emotional for Katharine, me, and the film crew. You will find them a significant part of our next series.
Two important aspects of producing TV programs related to the Holocaust:
Please pray for us regarding these tricky aspects of our production. In respect to our connection with ICEJ, let me recount three very interesting events that recently occurred here in Jerusalem.
As a Jewish believer in Yeshua, I am fervent in telling my people about the Mashiach. Katharine and I serve on the board of FIRM (Fellowship of Israel Related Ministries) whose mandate is not only Genesis 12:1–3 (to bless the sons of Abraham) but also Galatians 6:10 (to do good to all, especially those of the household of faith). FIRM is connecting the Church around the world directly to the Body of Messiah in Israel.
This activity is controversial because Israeli policy counts on groups like ICEJ NOT to witness to the Jewish people, but just to love them and awaken the world to the wonder of Israel. And this they do with class and integrity.
One might expect tension between ICEJ and FIRM, but there is none. Rather, there’s mutual respect and cooperation, recognizing that, as God showed me once, He has a big chuppah (wedding canopy). There is room for everyone to work who has a mind to work. We each need to find our place under the canopy and “work while it is day” (John 9:4).
A major part of this ministry’s work is the production of high-quality television that honors the God of Abraham. In November, Zola Levitt Presents programs include:
Times of the Signs. In this eight-program TV series, Myles and Katharine Weiss encourage Believers to look beyond the troubling prophetic signs of our day and live in growing expectation of our Messiah’s return. return.
As I write this letter to you, Katharine and I are preparing to meet our tour groups, first in Athens and a week later in Jerusalem. We have two buses of pilgrims this time. Truthfully, groups of fewer than 100 pilgrims, such as ours, are a delight because Katharine and I get a chance to really know the individuals and pray with them. Several friends of ours joined Zola Tours after traveling on a gargantuan tour of 20 buses, specifically coming with us because they want to be near the leaders and really sense the pastoral care and anointing that Zola Tours’ teaching provides.
I want to urge you to join us in the spring of 2016. Virtually every visitor to Israel recounts the life-changing nature of these study tours. As Zola always observed: “A trip to Israel is worth more than ten years of Sunday School.”
These are joyful study tours, not mere vacations. You will be amazed at how the Bible comes alive in His land. To personalize your pilgrimage, call Sandra, our Zola Tours manager, to discuss options at 214-696-9760. You may also email her at travel@levitt.com, or get information at www.levitt.com/tours.
You can select your trip from spring 2016’s study tour options:
Deluxe Israel (Israel only) Mar 13–22 $4,288 Grand Petra (Israel & Petra) Mar 13–25 $5,288 Prices include airport tax, fuel surcharges (subject to change), and tips.
Katharine and I would love to host you. But whether you join a tour or not, please remember: Sha’alu shalom Yerushalayim!—Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! (Ps. 122:6)
Your brother and messenger,
Myles
P.S. Find your place under God’s chuppah by praying and allowing Him access to your heart. Perhaps standing with us financially is also part of His call to you.
Dear Myles,
Per Matt. 28:18–20, ZLM is divinely called to carry Yeshua’s message of salvation to Jews and gentiles in Israel, despite local opposition.
“Here’s my contribution for November. Please use it to do all you can to advance Yeshua’s message to all of Israel, the Church, and the world.”
The beautiful story of the wedding customs of Israel in Messiah’s time and how He fulfilled these traditions in calling out His bride, the Church. A striking and inspiring example of scriptural logic and elegance.
In this thought-provoking Bible study, Zola turns the tables by asking, “How can a Gentile be saved?” An interesting, unique look at the grafting in of the Gentiles to God’s plan.
Zola Levitt and his crew report on the horrors of the Holocaust through hard-hitting interviews and an on-location taping at Dachau Concentration Camp in Munich, Germany.
