A fringe academic movement to punish Israel is getting needed pushback

The asinine, dangerous, borderline anti-Semitic push by a small cadre of professors to boycott Israeli colleges and universities is being taken where it belongs: to the academic woodshed.
Earlier this month [December 2013], the American Studies Association endorsed the freezeout — singling out a liberal democracy that happens to be the world’s only Jewish state, while ignoring dozens of nations where freedom of thought is systematically repressed. No wonder the American Association of University Professors condemned it. As did the Association of American Universities. And the leaders of CUNY, Columbia, and NYU, laughing a crazy and mean-spirited crusade off campus.
