“Christianity Through Jewish Eyes”

A Message From Zola

Dear friends,

I really appreciated the prayers, cards and letters. My recover has had one or two setbacks, probably due to age and the fact of a previous bypass, but on the whole I’m doing very well.

I’m walking fine and exercising every day, I wrote the September Personal Letter and edited the Levitt Letter, so I guess you could say I’m back at my post. I sure watch a lot of TV and get in a lot of chair-time but I’m learning a lot from watching various news broadcasts. Please know that I feel a significant improvement each day and I’m told that my recovery is normal.

Thank you for the prayers, the good wishes and the extra support that you’re giving us. I really appreciate it all.

Your messenger,
Zola

  4. Jacqui Says:

So glad you are doing super, may God continue to bless your recovery and your ministry. listen, though I know that God is the one who is in the healing, we still know we sometimes must go it this way, and I saw something on FOX news that made me think of you. they now have, for heart patients, yes with by-pass surgery, a new thing with adult stem cells. not the embryonic, but your own stem cells that is doing wonders and causing the body to react as it should. I can’t remember all how it went, but it seems to be a blessing from God who did create the stem cells. Anyway, maybe ask your doctor to look into it it may be a terrific thing.it has made the ones who have it, revive much faster, and the healing process stronger than just by-pass alone. much love, Jacqui

  5. Mary Adamson Says:

God Luc in your recovery. Hepefully you will be up to speed soon

  6. Sandy M. Says:

I’m so glad you’ll be with us longer - you have a lot of teaching to do!

And speaking of teaching, when we’re forced to take the time to recuperate and deal with our frailty, it can be a real learning experience. Perhaps God is trying to show you something?

Feel better! As always, in Jesus’ name.

  7. Inez Says:

    Dear Zola,
How good to hear a word from you! Glad your strength is improving. Read Zephaniah tonight. Will leave you with a couple of verses near the end about the future of Jerusalem: In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:16-17. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob continue to strengthen His faithful servant, Zola.

Hi Zola: I was really thrilled to see a note from you and glad you are doing well. I’ve been studying the Book of Joshua. In the first chapter, God says something 3 times and each time it gets more intense, v.6 be strong and of good courage / v.7 be strong and VERY courageous / v.9 HAVE I NOT COMMANDED YOU TO BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE! Don’t fear and don’t be dismayed. (Joshua must have been having some problems) God knows ’set backs’ and difficulties are part of this cursed world but HE finishes yelling at Joshua with, I WILL BE WITH YOU WHERE EVER YOU GO. I WILL NEVER FAIL YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. He will see you through this. And regarding your age, Moses didn’t even get to start his ministry until he was 80! (Yipes) Your youth is renewed like the eagle and Yeshua (the quickening Spirit) will renew you to new life and energy. God Bless.
    Shalom.

I was cut off! Really, Zola, you need to tell the posters there is a maximum allowed.
I guess you didn’t get the part of needing your help with a 60+ age college English Professor who is Jewish, (learned that today while he was ranting)I met on the InterNet. We’re having a very lively discussion by e-mail, when the subject his support of the ACLU comes up. Ugh! Suddenly the romantic mood is shattered and his remarks send my nails into extraction. Uh oh. I flash-back to High School Debate Team and I need a one-liner to knock Goliath down.

    Zola, Sandra, Mark, and Staff,

Here is another Colorado family whose prayers are with you all. Loved the pictures on line and in the newsletter. First close up of Sandra that we’ve seen — pretty lady — and nice to be able to put a face with the name. God bless you all, and keep gaining strength, Zola.

  21. L. S. Says:

    Hi Zola: :-)
I heard some real whacky teaching about the “rapture” I thought you would enjoy. Since the false Christ comes before the Second Coming, than the Christ that catches the church away must be the devil. He does this so he can rule without interruption. Nuts huh? If the devil could make even one Christian disappear he would have gotten rid of all of us by now! Of course, this means they believe the Christ after the rapture is the real one which is actually the devil. God is not the author of confusion. So this is definitely not from Him. Have a great day Bro.

Yeshua IS alive and so are we, in Him, forever. It doesn’t get any better than this! Hallelujah! Your continued return to health, better than ever, is guided by the Best Physician. Your peace, comfort, and hope is in Him…I’m not worried about you and yours because you are in His will. I am praying Sandra gets some peaceful rest, you get to be pain free and back in rosy health, and your staff sails through this extraordinary time “with flying colors”. Shalom!

  24. Wayne Stokes Says:

You are in my family’s prayers. May God bless you with health and a very speedy recovery. We love your ministry and you. We are praying for your ministry and staff as well. I loved the pictures of you on the back page of the newest newsletter.
Zola… may you be strong and healthy until Jesus returns for all of us.I pray that you get blessed by God to be able to actually feel the prayers of those who lift you up before God’s glorious throne daily! Read Micah 7:7 and 8! This always lifts me up. God has lifted me up so many times through these words. We love you brother!

    Dear Zola,
I’m so glad you aregetting stronger, we need you on the program, I watch online and share the programs with others. Your link is on my site as a favorite for others to find, although I have not been one who could support in a monitary way up to now, I plan on starting a small monthly support. I pray for you and wish I could go to Israel with your tour someday. Until that time I enjoy the programs so much. I pray that people will wake up to the times and the soon return of Jesus. Thank you for the guests you bring into the programs with such important information.

Recently I posted a page for a tribute 911-2005 to send to others, if you would like to view it just go to my website.

    God Bless you.

  31. Jordan Turner Says:

    To Zola,
I am glad you doing so good. God has blessed you truly. I only satrted watching you a few months ago, and what you say I agree with whole heartily. Since I started watching your show I have become a Zionist. I have always believed that Israel was the homeland of the Jewish people given by God, but never really paid that much attention to it. Now I hope to visit it one day. I don’t have the money at the moment. If God wants me to see it, he will provide a way. Also I recently laerned of the divestment of some so-called Christian churches toward Israel. I am a Baptist and if my denomination decided to do that I’d boycott them and have chuch with people who are like minded. I don’t agree with the pullout from Gaza. I think that it will only intesify the terrorism. It also may lead to the prophcey foretold in Ezekiel 38.

May God and Yeshua continue to bless you,
    Jordan

  32. Joan Horn Says:

    Dear Zola,

It’s “good news” finding out that you’re doing well. I pray that your recovery continues to improve, but don’t over do it! There are thousands of us praying for you out here in tv land.

    God bless you,
    Joan

  33. Dortha Mae Spurgeon Says:

    Hello Zola,
Wow, you have a lot of good messages above, and I too am so very happy that you are coming along real well…..I know that every day you are going to feel a little stronger.

Received September newsletter today and so happy to see the close up picture of Sandra with you….You make a beautiful couple and you are loved by a great group of people….Will be so wonderful in our next life when we all know each other and I hope we get to work together….I know the Lord will have good jobs for us to do…and we will not grow weary in doing them.

Received your book Dateline Jerusalem today, so I am in the process of reading that…..I know your prayers are with those dear precious folks in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, just as ours are….It is almost unbelievable to see what has happened there….Our hearts really go out to them and pray the Lord will undertake, so many homeless, we can only ask God’s will be done in all their lives…Bless their precious souls.

God bless you Zola and continue to give you a good recovery!
In Jesus Name, Dortha Mae Spurgeon, Redding, CA.

  34. L. S. Says:

Hi Zola: I hope you are much better. I read a joke told by a Rabbi, here goes: God came down to Israel and was very upset with them. He said, I’m sick and tired of you and can’t stand it anymore. In ten days I’m going to send a flood and drown all of you. God turned in a huff and returned to heaven. That night the leaders called the people to a meeting and said; okay gang, we’ve got ten days to figure out how to live under water.
I hope your progress continues and I’m praying for you everyday.
    Shalom

  37. Kathleen "Katy" Murray Says:

We continue to keep you and your family is prayer. The battle is won but the gates need to be guarded for any counter attack. You have thought us well that we are in a spiritual battle that we glimpse in the natural 2 Kings 6:16-17.

  38. L. S. Says:

    Hi Zola:
There was an evolutionary scientist that was sick and tired of Bible thumpers claiming God created everything. So he called his buddy scientists in for a meeting. Okay guys, I’ve figured out a way to get rid of God. All we have to do is create a human being from the dirt of the earth. They all agreed, pooled their finances and purchased a piece of land in the Amazon jungle. They built an underground laboratory and took an oath that none of them would come up and see the light of day again until they had created a human being from the dirt of the earth. They went down the hatch, locked it and went to work. For the next 20 years they researched and experimented until finally they did it! They created a human being from the dirt of the earth. The leader stopped their cheers of celebration and said; okay, someone has to go uptop and tell God we’ve done this so we don’t need Him anymore and He can leave. No one wanted to do it so they drew straws and Henry drew the short straw. Henry climbed up the ladder and opened the hatch. His friends pushed him out, slammed the hatch shut and locked it. It was high noon and the jungle was bursting with sounds of animals as the sunlight came filtering through the huge tree canapies. Hiding behind a bush, Henry looked up to heaven and whispered…

    Henry: God?

GOD: HENRY, HOW ARE YOU? LONG TIME NO SEE.

Henry: uh, umm, I’m fine sir but there’s something you should know.

GOD: OKAY HENRY, WHAT IS IT?

Henry: Well, sir, we’ve created a human being from the dirt of the earth.

GOD: CONTRATULATIONS! THAT’S WONDERFUL! GOOD FOR YOU!

Henry: Thank you sir but now that we’ve done this we don’t need you anymore so you can leave.

GOD: WELL, OKAY HENRY, BUT COULD YOU DO ME ONE FAVOR BEFORE I GO?

    Henry: Sure.

GOD: CAN YOU SHOW ME HOW YOU DID THIS?

Henry: No problem. (Henry reached down and picked up a glob of dirt)

GOD: OH NO, GET YOUR OWN DIRT!

    Have a great day Zola

  40. Fred and Julie Axe Says:

    Hello:
I am sorry that I haven’t written to you sooner. Other than just being a memeber of the human race I have no excuses for not writing sooner. However, you have been in my thoughts and prayers since you announced your situation on your program over a month ago. I have been down the road you have with the by-pass thing and I am sure that you had an experience similar to mine with regards to how the LORD works in these times of need. I remember my ride to surgery, my waking up in ICU with the tubes and all. I remember the pillow and I experiencing the coughing and how I discovered that big piece of cartilage that holds the rib cage together. There are other things that I remember that will go unmentioned so as not to scare people. Then home. I remember being able to walk more than 20 yards without stopping for air. In fact I bought a bike and biked accross Michigan with my son in seven days. I remember how God stirred inside of me and took me places I never thought I would go. I remember Him making me to lie down in green pastures and restoring my soul. I remember Him whispering in my ear that He wanted me to study Psalm 139 and I have done that for over 10 years and have only begun to understand that chapter. I know Zola is not leaving earth until the day written in the book says he will. God will always provide especially trained doctors, nurses and hospitals to take care of you until “that day.” Oh Zola, isn’t it profound the Savior we have? The peace that passes all understanding. The Good Doctor. As I study the names of God, I am overwhelmed! I once heard a priest at our church talk about falling horribly in love with God. I was taken back by the word horribly and it haunted me. Now I get it. I can’t get enough of Him and it is horrible that I can’t put my arms around Him. Can you imagine when John put his head on Jesus’ chest and felt His physical love? Well I am rambling on. I hope your days are filled with gladness and personal time with the Master. He is in you and you are in Him and while you are recovering, He can touch you in a special way. He put you through this for a lot of reasons and the most important one is His special time with you. Thank you by the way for all the feeding you have done to me. God has used you more than you will ever know. I have a suggestion for you. I was raised in a Bible church, attended a Baptist Church for many years and the LORD led me in the past few years to a Catholic Church. My new bride is Catholic and loves you very much. She loves to hear your teaching. Her and I will be spending eternity together with the LORD, no doubt about it. I would ask that you pray to the LORD for decernment concerning your stand on Catholic brothers and sisters. They will be going to heaven the same way you and I will, by the shed blood of Jesus and because of His resurrection. Traditions are different but the way is the same. Please brother seek God’s guidence in this matter and you may be pleasently surprised.
We love you and hope you return at God’s speed soon.
    Fred and Julie

  41. Dortha Mae Spurgeon Says:

    Dear Zola,
Today was Thursday the 8th and I received your regular letter where you were telling us about some of your hospital experience…..Now I see why you had to stay on for those several extra days because of that little “fib” problem.
I am so sorry that happened to you but I sure praise God they knew what to do to help you….Thank the Lord for Doctors and Nurses and everyone who help us….That must have been a scary time of it there for awhile but I am so happy you said you were not afraid, You are a soldier and ready to report for duty wherever you are needed…..Praise the Lord!
We are so thankful He has chosen to leave you on duty here on earth for awhile…..Trust you are gaining strength each day and God is blessing you each and everyday.
I hope you will not try to do too much for the November Tour and save your strength for the March tour…..Oh how I wish I could make one of those tours, just haven’t been able to see my way clear to do that, just trusting the Lord that somehow, maybe, one day, Lord willing.
Thank you so much for your programs, they are the next best thing to being there….God bless you Zola and your crew for all the work you do in bringing those programs to us….I tape each one and can enjoy them over and over.
Well I don’t have any jokes to tell you so I will sign off for now…..We serve an awesome God and one day we will have all knowledge and know the reason why all things have happened, even the reason for such horrible destruction that has hit our beloved south land….God bless them and give them Peace over this.
Shalom, Dortha Mae Spurgeon, Redding, CA.

  49. L. S. Says:

Hi Zola: I hope you are continuing to heal and feel better. I’m still praying for you. I just received your Levitt Letter. The article ‘Divorce-Islamic Style’ has really bowled me over. This woman, because she was raped by her father-in-law is now her husband’s mother??? Why do Nations and governments even talk to these people. They’re NUTS. Though I’ve never been a ‘women’s libber’, Islam is the best excuse for it. Also the article about the Pope’s Terrorism Omission, I think is prophetic. This guy (an x-nazi!) could be the false prophet. He sure fits the bill. You’re going to have a lot to discuss when you get back to work fulltime. I’m looking forward to it. Also, the cartoon of you on ‘Letters to Zola’ is absolutely wonderful. Thanks for the terrific updates that tell the truth. We need them. Take care Bro.

    Hi Zola:
I’ve been listening to various end time prophecy teachers. With the things that are happening right now, I think the rapture is closer than we actuallly believe. I know we all say it could happen at any moment but then we make future plans. I really think it’s CLOSE. Iran has already tested its nuke missles. If they were to hit London and Wall Street, that would be the economic collapse the beast needs to launch him into power. Hilter got into power because of the economic collapse of Germany, the AC is going to get into power for the same reason. Just when it gets scary, I have to remind myself…”let not your hearts be troubled”. Thank You Lord!. Well, Zola, I hope you are feeling much better. Still praying and supporting.
Say hello to Sandra: she looked absolutely beautiful in the photo with you in the ‘Letter’
    Shalom

  52. Billy kirwan Says:

    Dear Zola,

in 1972, I latched on to Romans 8:28 and wrote this poem. I hope it is useful to you and others who may readi it.

And we know that in All things G-d works for the best to them that love him and are called according to His purpose.

Romans08:28.CJB Furthermore, we know that G-d causes everything to work together for the good of those who love G-d and are called in accordance with his purpose

Romans 8:28 Poem written by billy kirwan, spring of 1973. This poem was written about 9 months after a tragic accident crippled me and killed my mother and brother. The Poem is intended to reach out to people who feel confused by life, and want to turn to the Father for His help.

    1. Have you ever wondered
when something has happened to you?
    Yes wondered why it has
    and what you should do?

    2. Well this has recently happened to me
and I couldn’t see what the reasoning was,
but if we open our eyes we will see,
G-d has a reason for all that he does.

    3. Now having said that I want you to know,
that He will give fruit from the seeds that we sow
Just make them kindness and friendship and love
and He will bless them right now from above.

    4. And when you meet someone on the street
Just give them a smile, don’t look at your feet
let them your happiness share on this day
That G-d will help them, if they follow His way.

    5. So make up your mind that you will try to be happy
and love your own neighbor as much as yourself
Just put on a smile and make others so happy
instead of stowing your smiles on the shelf.

I live and work in Italy. I teach dependent children of the US military. I only get to see Zola when I come home to the USA to be with my parents during summers. I hope Zola is still bouncing back from ill health and I regret I didn’t know he was in crisis. I send my best wishes and prayers. I miss seeing Zola on T.V. and look forward to logging on to this web site. I didn’t know it was available. Nowadays everyone has one it seems. I am glad Zola’s ministries has a way for out of touch people like me to tap in and get the latest on the Christian’s plight in this world. I wake up everyday thinking about Christ’s return and how close it seems. Since I am in italy I am very aware of the world’s conditions, erratic weather patterns and the many earthquakes all over the planet. There are so many and so often. I want to go home to the USA and retire from this job. I feel the urge more and more each day and have to wait for June to make it a reality. I want to be able to have more spiritual guidance and knowledge since I am on my own here in Italy. My husband had to go back to the US in March to be with my very ill parents 24 hours and 7 days a week. I miss them all and look forward to coming home to them as soon as school is over for this year. A faithful follower,
