Horses can also help in therapies for certain disabilities. Other domesticated animals like dogs also helps in emotional therapy. There are benefits one can get from these animals.

I too confess to the thought that Israel never received snow. It must be something of a novelty though since the pictures are posted here and the comments are encouraged. Israel is beautiful under any condition, the snow is like God's icing on His favorite cake. Keep the snapshots coming, preferably with the same operator behind the camera! :)

Many great opportunities are driven onto the rocks by lesser issues. Seek first the Kingdom, people! Here we have a great tool to share about the life we have in Jesus, and we can't reference it without bringing in politics?

Jesus struggled with the same distraction. While working to prepare a way for us to enjoy salvation, his early followers were still concerned about a military or political solution to their occupation. Lets not make their mistake.

Seeking the Kingdom,

Yohon

It's funny how so many who weren't even a part of the immediate Columbine High School community have an opinion or 'the final word' on what happened and what kind of community we are. It is interesting, yet tiresome and irritating, that outsiders have so much to say and those of us who live here and had children in the school that day, don't seem to find it tabloid and newsworthy. It was and is our life and the lives of our children. I do have a friend who works for a police department in another state and they were told by a representative from Homeland Security that they expect mass attacks this year on American schools (soft targets). I don't know what was learned from the incident at our school that can be applied to foreign terrorist attacks, but I am certain that Columbine got off easy compared to what those attacks will bring. Heaven help us!

The pictures of Jerusalem in SNOW are wonderful. I spent four years living in Israel and had quite a few opportunities to photograph the Jerusalem sites. Only one time did I see a similar snow-fall in Jerusalem. I spent the entire day taking four rolls of slides ...only to have them disappear as "lost" by the developer in Nahariya. I am grateful that you could see your results and were able to share them with others. Thank You, Glenn

WOW!! Beautiful photos of the snow. My first thought was the purity over Israel. Thanks for sharing, I also would like to hear some chosen music with the slides.
Blessings to you, Mary

I have noticed over the last few decades that every time the Israeli Government gives in to the concessions they somehow loose land and standing in the Middle East. It doesn't seem to matter if they have to defend themselves, they are in the wrong and no matter what they become vilified for their actions. I think it is about time someone within the government stood up and said no to the unreasonable political pressures and fought for their land. This land was given by God to begin with. They may share some of it for peace but when others attack for no reason and Israel stands up to it, the prevailing winds are to not do much of anything and ignore it. If this had happened in the US, and it has, we would all be up in arms and asking for retaliation of some sort against those that killed innocent people. I applaud Lieberman in standing up for Israel. It's about time.

Anecdotal reports support newer forms of play based behavioural therapies and alternative methods involving vitamins and dietary restrictions, although many autism treatment experts vigorously disagree over whether these offer benefit.
