Israel’s Jobless Rate Drops

Israel jobless rate dropped in May from the previous month.
The jobless rate decreased to 6.5% in May from 6.6% in the previous month, a report by the Central Bureau of Statistics showed on Monday. The jobless rate has been easing since June 2009. A year earlier, the jobless rate was at 7.8%.
Separately, the statististical office said, the manufacturing output increased a seasonally adjusted 0.6% on a monthly basis in May, slower than a 1.9% growth in the previous month. Output increased for the sixth consecutive month. A year earlier, manufacturing output slipped 0.3%.
